Simp and Lil Princess:
Wah your Goldie are great. I wish mine (back home) would eat dry food. My sister has always wanted to have a birthday party for her (Nala) but never happen. But I heard that she is our home church mascot now.
Life with a dog is great, if we don't have maddy we would get a dog, but right now, it will be hard to take care of one.....
 


wow, from baby recipes to doggie food recipies...haha... i also hv a maltese at home, super greedy. Had her for 5 years already and yup, she is my first daughter. Think she feels a bit sad since the bb came along, cos she is used to being the centre of attention.

i scoop 3 teaspoon of cereal into a milk bottle, and use abt 20ml to mix, coz my biy doesnt like watery cereal, but after mixing it, i think abt 25 ml only

my boi just started on semi solid, but i intend to let him try porridge this weekend, am i too early to let him try porridge?coz his milk intake only abt 400-500 perday, really worried
 
wah so many doggie mummies here too!

sherin, can share the receipe for doggie cookie? hope can bake some for my boys too.. yeps Dr Ly at balestier, very ex but no choice. my cavalier used to have such bad skin and would lick/scratch/bite himself all the time till he bleeds he has to wear the elizabeth collar when he's alone at home so he can't get at himself. other vets typically give steroids which are harmful in the long term and does not treat the root cause. imagine my joy when my cavalier can finally be 'free' from his collar and be a normal happy dog!

my schanuzer's skin is better but also sensitive. that boy has an ultra sensitive stomach, will throw up or have diarrhoea easily. early this year both were hospitalised for very bad diarrhoea, spent over $1k

but found one thing that helps diarrhoea, to treat it before it escalates to something serious again. it's probiotics! would you belive there's probiotics for doggies too??? and it really works, but overdoes gives them constipation..
 
piggy mummy, you and me the same fate ah.. both babies dun wan milk and ultra difficult to feed..

if your boy can finish his cereal maybe u can try to give a bit more already?

u are really good, i was so stressed i started my girl on cereals once PD gave the green light at 4.5 months cos of her milk refusal and poor weight gain.

my girl still refuses milk, and on off on bad days will refuse cereal and cry too. but no choice, take it one day at a time. now she has thrush, so lagi more difficult to feed. have you tried purees? mine is super fussy, rejects almost anything i prepare painstakingly for her. i'm so numb throwing food down the drain, be it purees or porridge.

I was shocked I saw him having difficulty breathing. then I ask if he's alright. he told me he's allergic to rodents so I suggest I bring e rabbit elsewhere. my rabbit broke his front leg and needed some procedures to cast it. he was very pro I must say. he told me it's his job so he continued. after e procedure, he had attack. he told me to bring e rabbit back for review but I brought him to another vet instead.

wish I can attend e playdate but it's my sister's wedding 'guo da li' so I have to help out.

julian miss this chance to play with his friends.

julian got his 1st baluku today. it's kinda weird how he got it. my sister was carrying him. as usual, he cannot keep still. dunno wat he did but he knocked my sister's mouth. he got a huge baluku. my sister felt so bad tat she was close to tears. I know it's not her fault. my son's too playful.

exactly wat happen to me on sunday. my boy knock onto my mouth while i was carrying him which cause bleeding on my gum (imagine the strength), still hurts. strange is my boy nv cry, like nothing happen :p

wat teaspoon do u use? after mixing, does e cereal look more like pudding? I tried 3tsp cereal with 30ml and it's really thick. my son didn't like it. I use 1 tsp cereal to 15ml milk. I use 2 different bottles for water and milk. i found out my son associate e 2 bottles with e 2 drinks. after cereal, I put water in e milk bottle and he refuse to drink. I guess he thought it's milk so I changed to e bottle used for water. true enough. he drank from tat bottle. I think my son really hate milk. like wat my pd told me before, he thinks my son is not a milk person. hope he is ok with food.

this is not e 1st time already. usually he won't cry thought we feel e pain. but dunno why this time he cried very loud. at 1st I tot he just manja then we saw e bruise. didn't wanna over react cos dun wan my parents to scold my sis and dun want my sis to feel bad. I know they love julian a lot cos he's e 1st grandchild. heartache but cannot show so I made an excuse tat julian was tired and went home to sayang him.

wah...today's forum turn from baby into pet forum ha ha ah.

Agree that its great for kids to grow up with animals. I have 7 cats, 10 koi, 2 turtles and now 1 golden retriever. Hence we named our son Noah...hahahha. We just need to build the ark now.

I actually had 2 golden retrievers last year.
One died on April 14th 2007....
My hubby and i cried out hearts out. Worst day of our life.
And guess when Noah decided to make his enterance??????
April 14th 2008!!!!
Even though i dun quite believe in re-incarnation...my hair started to stand when i went into labour. ha ha...

Littleprincess n the rest of mummies w doggies, think this is the place my sis ordered for her goldie this year, http://www.usdb.com.sg/, cakes and other bakes r nice but cookies not that nice as our dog took the longest to finish. I found the cookies not that fresh/crunchy hahaha

Think we will have more of them when our little darlings start to crawl, n walk. Think i will die of heart attack ;P My ger also like knocked herself a few times, either knock on the table, floor or hit herself mainly self-infliction. Sometimes i distract her w other things if the pain is forgettable else still will cry hahahah.

haha...actually its my husband's collection. Think he was deprived from having pets as a kid. So once we got our own house....he would go and pick up animals from all over the place and bring home without asking me.... : (

But its nice to see when the cats and dogs get along. In fact my cats bully my golden...they urinate on her head to "mark her as their territory". hahah so poor thing.

your retriever sounds like a real angel leh. bet she'll be great with babies!

gail - yr cat pee on your doggie's head? Oh no, so poor thing, kena bullied. Wow, how u take care of so many animals. I got 1 doggie 1 baby already so busy... last time i also had guinea pigs but after the last one passed away, my hubby said no more cos he said very troublesome. But thik guinea pigs are so cute. I had one which was toilet trained even. Will let her out and every couple of hours will put her back in the cage and will auto pee then she come out again. Still miss her altho she has been gone for 8 yrs or so. Cried buckets when she passed away suddenly.
