jaundice: I read in an article that sunbathing actually have no scientific effect on jaundice, but maybe coz its an old method of our parents days so they believe in it. Technically sun bathing our baby may cause sun burn on their sensitive skin.

If its BF jaundice, its good to let your baby poo more as the jaundice will clear away eventually. But if its still persistently high, you need to have him put under photo light in the hospital.

I have popped on 15 april 2.22pm, csection with spinal injection. my little prince weigh 2.9kg height 48cm. he first thing out my tummy is treat my Gynae "hot tea(pee)" haha... naughty boy. then while cleaning him up he open one eye to peep at us hehehe...

i rem that DIY clay kit can get from mothercare, not sure if they still have it now.
I am thinking of those footrpints/ handprints but not DIY kind as I did DIY clay for my #1, dun really like the results.

sherin i oredi did the "scrapbook" in the form of photo album. don think will get the scrapbook kit. any idea if they sell the clay on its own?

puffish ya lochia will come after the c-sect. they will put the maternity pad for you and change for you on the first 2 days.

koori did you let your baby latch on? i have friends who did exclusive pumping and some has no milk by the 2nd month. so on and off still must let baby latch.

simp : maybe you can get the nuk teats when you feed with ebm so that bb will not know the different.
they still cannot see very well. they wont be able to tell the diff btw nuk teats and latching.

Btw, do you feed you bb with water? my mother urge me to do that.

Good to hear u have 90ml of milk! My girl very good to me yesterday, clear my rt blocked duct and the dinner seems to help me with my milk ss, steamed threadfin and stir fry kailan together with red date longan tea. She also sleep like 2 to 3 hrs yesterday, easier for me. How i wish she can be like dat all the time.

I juat ordered cakes from Melrose Bake House, Cup Divinity and vouchers from Bengawan Solo. Bengawan Solo traditional cakes more pricey than melrose place. Faintz. Din order many, order fewer than 30 sets in all since not having buffet celebration. Only giving those who gave us gifts and for mum/mil to offer to gods and for ourselves to eat

I used nuk teats for ebm but i think she knows as the position of feeding is different compared to latching. And she can drink so fast within 5-10 mins of 60-100ml compared to 15-30mins of latching. At times, i think she suckle for comfort then sleep. Faintz.

U decided which vaccination package to take? Seems like TMC got comprehensive package for 6-in-1 + MMR+ booster+Hep A + chickenpox @$660 and $660 + pnemoucocal + rotarvirus @ $1440 excluding PD consultation compared to Raffles Hospital. Raffles Hospital package for 6-in-1 at 1mth@$470/2nd mth@$420, then 13-18mth package includes chicken pox+MMR+booster @$330/$280 for those who took the 6-in-1 package inclusive of PD consultation @$65. At one hand, i hope to vaccinate my girl for everything but on second thgts i am concerned that she becomes so protected that her immune system may not be built to fight diseases in the future/prone to autism for MMR vaccination but MMR is mandatory. I also scared her little body cannot take them well and lots of fever, crying etc. If i want to take full package then i opt for TMC package, if not, then i just take the 6-in-1 package with Raffles hospital and see if i want to take their 13-18mth package.

What would be u choosing for bb Constance? How abt the rest? What's ur preference?

I did feed bb with water in the 1st week when she was like dehydrated. Then my mum fed her when i am back home doing confinement whenever bb hiccups to stop the hiccups like a few teaspoons only, not by the 20ml or 30ml which i think is too much. We fed her using small cup with teaspoon. I think in small quantities, it shd be ok and not by large amount. Supposed to start feeding water only at 6mths i think hee, cannt rem if i read from book or from the anenatal class from KL.

Anyone faces the same problem as me? My bb Jay keeps crying and very cranky. He dont sleep 3 hrs straight. Will wake up almost 1 hr apart even now that he is progressing into 3 weeks old. He cries for attention, poo poo, hungry or warm. I am quite clueless how to pacify him. Geez getting very tired.

Dun stress over the supply thing. The more you stress the more it will be affected. Drink more water maybe you r dehydrated the night before. Every night when i slep in aircon room i make sure i bring 1 litre of red date drink with me and drink half after each feed coz i know i will be dehydrated sleeping in air con room...

Mummies, there r photo frames that popular sells one side is to fill with clay and can put baby's hand and foot prints. the other side can put baby's photo. If just want to get clay for making the handprints, think any art craft stationary store should have. Can try art friend or popular.

take a small step at a time. I dun keep track of how much i can pump after latch on or how many times i pump each day. As long as baby can latch on and i got some surplus in the fridge i am happy. Breastfeeding is not easy and its tiring. As long as can preserve for one more day then its one more day gained ya?? Just remember to drink lotsa water and eat well

After latching and can pump 50ml, very good alreadi. For me, if i latch for both sides, think ss less than 10ml. I can only pump like 30-60ml max if one side is not latched on. Think i will only pump when i feeling full.engorged or when i am storing the ss in freezer when bb reach 6 mth to 8mth old. This is to feed her for the next few months till she turns 12 mths while i try for 2nd bb if everything goes smoothly, otherwise exclusive latching as long as i can.

I also wake up at least 1 to 2 times every nite for feeds, so tiring.

Cath,
Think it is common for bb to cry for attention / tired / hungry / temperature too cold or warm / pee or poo / sick or uncomfortable. Think we have to just talk to them in a slow and calming manner and check time if it is feeding or diaper change is needed or temperature on their forehead to see if they r too cold or hot or if they r sick. If not just latch them for comfort sucking and it would give them security and comfort before we put them down to rest. Am also seeing my girl getting more demanding and cranky at days
