hi ladies, sorry for the late post. Went to JL expo and yes its really lousy. No good baby stuff at all. Only decent thing is the loony tunes playpen that is also available at the main stores. So no point going down. Bought a carton of Ben & Jerry's ice cream at $25! (e mini cups)Gosh gonna gain more weight!!!!!

Which coin did your pil get? So nice of them! Wonder whether the booties are worth collecting? I don't want to get the silver coins in case they tarnish like silver jewellery. But I think gold coins are too ridiculously expensive.

My updates: 1.24kg @ 28 wks/my wt gain 7kg. Cannot 'pig out' during CNY cos gained too much wt already!!!

Was at the JL sale today also. Did not get any baby stuff, but bought other household stuff like pillows, bedsheets etc to prepare for the confinement lady to stay with us.

Went to another sale at Tampines, selling branded baby and children's clothes at very good prices. e.g. bought quite a few Carter's dresses @ 3 for $10. They are really cute and pretty! Regret not buying more. Some are even $1 each....
 
tsukushi - i went to the singapore mint roadshow yesterday evening to check out the booties, but did not find it nice so didn't buy.

Jenny Hoo & Chewy: Managed to ask around and some mummies replied. There is one mummy confirmed selling away two tubes of Desitin Creamy. Managed to get her to let go at $10 per tube. Collection point is at JE Mrt.

Are you all interested so that I can continue to ask around. How many tubes are you all looking at?

Still pending other mummies to reply for any extra tubes.

Prawnie, i thik u may be able to get cheaper for the Desitin creamy. I bought 3 tubes for $26 from a mummy here, and the 3 tubes even came with the trial size desitin original each.

goodbabyb, i happen to see the sale at the Sales/Promotion thread, so decide to go take a look since I was going to be in the area yesterday.

Sputnik: where did you managed to find the deal? I went and post in the free items only thread asking which mummy is selling. Seems that all the price they offer is about $11. Some expiry date is this dec so, slightly cheaper which I did not reply. They gave reasons like, when they bought the price they paid is not even inclusive of shipping.

If you came across any good deals pls let me know. Thanks in Advance !!

tsukushi: Need to go to the booth soon.. alot of stuff out of stock. I juz manage to buy last set of tic tac toe rat set for my little one... so happy &amp; relief. Went POhheng &amp; saw some more mousey gold accessories like 5-cent , 10 cent pendant/mickey mouses. I find the designs pretty standard, maybe juz a simple one then-not cheap man.

Moi's getting really to do pedi-mani, facials to get ready for the rat year. Normally, CNY is juz a holiday for me. But this yr , it has added meaning for my HB &amp; myself. Never shop for CNY decor so excitedly! I guess, next year would be even more exciting as we be dolling our little mousies up. Then it be shopping for THEIR clothes &amp; stuff. Prawnie, you can try the want to sell thread. If you cannot post there you can email the seller or PM the seller. I bought mine at $27 for 3 tubes from a mummy that overstocked. The overseas spree i joined recently to buy another 2 tubes breakdown cost of each tube is about $8 plus inclusive of shipping. If you want i can check with the spree organiser if she ordered extra this round...

Before I begin my story, Cheesycake, can you update for me pls?

BB wt: 1.4kg @ week 28, Mum's gain: 14kg

I went for gynae checkup on fri and was told my baby is TOO chubby! So had to go back on Sat to do the oral glucose tolerance test. Failed the "2 hours after" test, meaning my body did not break down the glucose as fast as desired. Although doctor said its borderline, but I still had to do my own 7-point Blood Sugar Test at home. So throughout yesterday, I had to prick myself 7 times to measure my glucose level. Out of the 7 times, I failed once (borderline result). This Thursday got to go see the diabetes specialist
