We would have missed each other then! Frankly, i am not too impressed with NUH's service.. waited quite a while for the scan and the sonographer was not very willing to explain the scan to us and was mumbling most of the time...

The sonographer I had was ok, whenever she is scanning at a body part, she will describe what she is doing. I even saw my BB swallowing and pointing to his own forehead.Did they ask another consultant to come in and explain after the scan?

Wow talking abt confinement, i din know the confinement has to be done by the men's side. Anyway my MIL passed away long time ago, i don tik my FIL knows anyting and we don expect from him. We gg ahead with CL and have my mom buy grocies for us.

I am planning of Regent(where I had my wedding) hopefully with a room to rest & enjoy later that, or it be gd to hv it at Beaufort's, book a villa & hv dinner at ballrm. If a need to cut budget then get SAF chalet. Otherwise, I hv to hold 2 days for hm celebration. Families too big, at least 100 pax...
 
chewy: My CL is also charging me 2k for 28 days. Think the rates now are between 1.6k to 2k. When she comes, I will give her $100 ang pow. If she does a good job, will probably give her another $200.
 
Calamari:Thanks for ur info. Do u hv a reserve list for CL? I am worried that tatz last min change on CL side ... am so paranoid not getting any black & white from CL.
 
chewy: Hmm...I don't have leh. I confirmed with my CL in Sep. Then I just called her last week to re-confirm and she has my details

I also never knew confinement have to be done by ILs side. I did not have a CL when I delivered my girl. Will be the same for this pregnancy as well..gonna do it my way

how was your day??? i went down to motherworks to get the bb safe mattress n pillow today liow....happy happy....

also got a comforter set for bb from Aussino...hee hee hee...so nw left with sterilser, stroller, car seat n bb bottles...thk must slowly start acumulating liow...if not will be broke when bb is born ha ha ha...
 
Stephanie - wow so happy with ur purchase! i was at orchard today, so many pple, i so scared they bang into my tummy. hehe.

may want to go maid sourcing.. anyone has good recom on helpful agencies? No need to be cheap, as long as helpful when i need a transfer for whatever reasons.
 
Me still thinking of whether shld ask my MIL to do confinement in the day or engage external CL for the whole month.
Because got an elder boy to care for at night.
 
chewy, beaufort costs a bomb le. It's just a stone throw from my office. the villa itself cannot accomodate much people, restrictions and it's more than 2k per night. not to mention abt the food.

one of my relative stayed there for our wedding because 7/7/07 crowd and there isnt any good room available in town.
 
Starling: if you want to engage CL, must quick already cos the better ones are snapped up fast.

jgal: I just got my maid from KELL-LLOYDS RESOURCES, Katong Shopping Centre, 865 Mountbatten Road, #02-75. My husband and my family has been using them for years. So far so good and the maids they have provided for both our families have been very good. You can look for Eric.

calamari, i placed an order, it's pending the arrival. I want to finalise e total shipping cost first. It should arrive in two weeks time. I will organise a BP for the bottles then. So the bottles frm the BP will arrive in march.

Hi ladies,

Can i check, anyone keen on using cloth diapers for their babies? I very keen lei but the tradditional ones seems very troublesome... I was thinking of getting Bumwear cloth diapers but problem is they are very ex and i think to make the cloth diaper system work i probably need to buy alot too...

So i was thinking if anyone of you keen, maybe we can do a bulk purchase and ask for a better price... I haven't contacted them yet just trying to see if anyone is interested like me...

i went to see bumwear at united square. dont look v feasible. esp for newborn where they poo alot in a day and breastfed babies whose poo will be quite runny. So i think those traditional type is still betta where you can still put a diaper liner to "catch" e poo.

Went shopping last week for baby's stuff...spent quite a bit! can't resist when everything looks so adorable esp the baby clothes..hubby kept saying that i'm not being practical..hee...
 
Today i went to buy another set of bedsheet for bb. Kidsmall got 20%, still cheaper than the discount card of 10% Kiddy palace has. Seem like kiddy palace price with 10% discount card still not as competitive.
