I spent RM 245, so it's about SGD 100+ for the cake. it's about 3 to 4kg. i got about 30 ppl altogether and the size of the cake is just nice. it's 30x30cm. and i still have some leftover to bring back home la

I ordered 7" round cake cos she only bakes this size and 30pcs of cupcakes. Haha I'v got a friend who is very good in cutting cake. She help me cut into small pieces and I oso order the agar agar from Mrs Chan. So we put a small slice of agar agar and cake... "yi si yi si" only...keke... my guests are abt 80-100 bah (including kiddos)and everyone got a share...

tongtong, stands for Growing Up Gifted, its a playgroup/presch at united sq I think. I'm not keen on GUG tho I know its a popular place. Did trials there few years back, I was v unimpressed with their teachers (very er... robotic, sorely lacking of personal touch, which is a deal-breaker for me for progs targeting at this age) tho currriculum was good.

any mummies attending any kind of mummy/baby exercise? i've been going to inspire mum and baby at katong mall for mummy/baby pilates, i find it quite fun. a bit of exercise for both and a bit like playgroup for babies.

COST: Based on my estimate, $$27.32 per kid. But i will be collecting $30.00 for easy calculations. For adults, i'm estimating $8 per pax. Since it's morning session, we'll just do simple snacks n drinks. everyone ok?
if ok, pls transfer to POSB Savings 046-24211-4. When the costs firm up, i'll do a refund if there's balance. I'm going down to JWT to make payment on Wednesday. So pls hurry to confirm your place!

I think the gymboree dresses quite worth it.. somemore got disc now..and there are a lot of baby girl tights too!!
info...POLAR sells Hello Kitty (and a lot of other) designs. IT's not those fondant type. Think price range abit more affordable....like 40+/-.
Me cheapo la..dun intend to spend so much on Ruth's first birthday..cuz i'm sure when she's older, I"ll have PLENTY of chance to organize birthday parties and spend a lot!
Prob just a cozy gathering at home or in restaurant. So that's why no interest to spend $100+ on a cake. Also, so little of us, can't possibly eat so much cake!

I think its easier to just cater so no hassle need to bring food there. Since its early 10am as well.
I need ideas for catering as I hardly know good ones. For cake, we can try PG, SO, Bengawan, prima deli or polar? I think 2 of is enough? Tentatively we have 43 adults, 30 kids.

I saw some very nice baby clothes at Bedok Reservoir Road market.
some stalls selling those cut label from Gymboree, etc. about $18 per dress. quite nice..
other brands can be as low as $8 per shirt for baby girl. and $5/6 per set (dress + bloomer)

ade - sorry, does the cake from cupcake divinity comes with candle cos i didn't ask..haha, and what flavors did u order? i order chocolate for the cake..and lemon for the cupcake (do u know if its nice?)

stephie, the cake i ordered is a classic French dessert. It has a total of 5 layers of delicate almond cake, chocolate ganache, coffee, buttercream and also chocolate glaze
So it's pretty thick, so each pieces we cut can be quite big la. u can view the cake in my blog and facebook ya!
