abt raisins hor, coz it sun dried, and some raisins have preservatives else they will have short shelf live, so some mummies consider it junk.
even some packaging say no added sugar, preservatives, do you believe?? how to keep fresh in supermarkets then? can try get organic ones or sun them yourself lah

also maybe raisins a lot of sugar

btw, today i saw the straits times urban, you buy anything of estee lauder products over $100, you get a whole makeup set for just $108. consist of almost 30 colours palette (eyes, face, lip), mascaras, brush, lippies...worth $800
later chiong down to orchard and buy liao. mai tu liao
 
pixie, using my Hp to read the forum now... Got a shock when I saw the shoe closet as I slowly scrolled down to see it. Haha....

Anyway think my hubby met a ghost yesterday's leh!! He came home late at night, 2plus am, jumped on the bed and shook me up from sleep saying he heard some tragic woman's crying very loudly near his ears. He looked so scared and was breathing so quickly, like he was going into shock. Tried hard to calm him down even tho I was super scared too.............. Den suddenly his Hp flashed. Someone is calling but no number. He threw the phone on the bed in fear and said earlier on, he had the same phone call and no one spoke when he answered! Wahlau... So freaking scary leh!! I couldn't sleep for the entire night.... My hair standing now as I'm typing it... Geez...

i ever had such experience.
when i was younger, i went clubbing, got drunk and stumbled to bed. since i was giddy with alcohol, i tried to lie down and close my eyes. suddenly i heard a loud "swoosh!!" next to my ears and i heard so many ppl toking around me, although it was in the middle of the night...chattering on top of their voices, at least 4 - 5 different voices.
i tried to move and get up, but i couldnt. as though i was being tied to the bed. then i felt myself (or was it coz from the effect of alcohol?) being lifted out of my own body, i could literally "see" myself when i look back, MYSELF lying on the bed. i tried to close my eyes oso cannot...then i tried my best to squeeze it shut and tell myself this is not happening, this is not happening....with all my willpower.
then suddenly i was slammed back into my body.

so damn scary rite
 
Pixie, oh, raisins got preservatives ah!! I dunno abt that, let me go home and take a look at the raisins I bot. Yea I tot they are very sweet – so it’s natural preservatives liao ma :p

Mcfluffy, your hubby back 2+ ah, mine 3+ to 4 leh. Wah today is 30 leh, still not yet pass the ghost month. Then your hubby got this encounter!! Waliau. Erm, am I bad or not, I still ask him to hang the laundry when I heard him coming back – cuz I was too tired and wanted to sleep and no strength to hang the clothes liao..

but you know, the HPB always say, carton fruit juice say no added sugar etc but still very sweet for human beings. so cannot read label literally one.

Scary encounter??
I kind of have that encounter when my grandma came back 7 days after she died.

Chinese believe that they will come home and have a meal before they really set off. That day, my dad was on night shift, so me and my mum sleep in the same room.

Mum prepare those praying stuff in the kitchen, including food. That night, i had a hard time sleeping, keep hearding a sound in my sleep which sounds like chains on the floor. In the morning, when my mum wakes up, she told me, grandma actually called for her.. eek!! Then she close her eyes and ask her to go away.

We went to the kitchen in the morning for the first time in our room. Guess what.. The plastic spoon for the soup on the table have oily stains, the mango/durians have thumb prints on it, 1 pc of the char chew meat somehow was on the table, quite a distance from the plate.

Mummy conclude that grandma did come back for a meal.. I was young then, like 12 yrs old.. scary. few days cant sleep.

my FIL always buy alot and stock up give my boy. and worst still, his sour plums re-surface again recently..... haiz... few days ago.. he let javier eat sour plum then he vomitted.. i so angry..

SHould tell ur fil, sour plums have lots of sugar and salt. Plus the traditional process of making is sun them outside, actually not sure if it is hygienic.

BTW NTUC having promotion for enfragrow $52.45 per tin. Not exactly cheap as compare to distributor, but their free gift is so cute.. "cutable" fruits, veggie and meat with flash cards. Xavier loves this new toy now.

Your most regret purchases quiz hor.. I got a lot leh hahaha..quite a few buy already never use/wear before. Now those stuff are still hanging somewhere.Especially after delivery, figure go hay-wired.

Most regret jewellery: the Si Dian Jing. Those gold pcs where I will never wear for the rest of my life.. in future can pass to my dil. :p

My baby boy is re-admitted to hospital y'day for high jaundice... Haiz... Thought he could be ok but he did not pass the blood test. Level is 318 which PD said is rather dangerous... So now this poor mummy here is doing her confinement w/o any baby...

Then another sad thing is that still not much of BM supply. I think I am those type who does not have fate to give BM to my babies.

Lastly, y'day went to seek You Long Zi for name selection and I was very upset by the service. The person who attended to us was neither YLZ nor his own son. It was just some man, setting up his table outside their rooms!!! And he could not even explained well and we were not happy with the selection names too! Felt so cheated by YLZ now. Anyone has experienced the same thing?

It is not the kg leh, it is the tummy which is shaggy. 11kg ah, wait till let me eat a lot for this pregnancy then I join in. hahaha

ey dont say that, BM supply is must build up very hardworking then have one. NO woman in the world cannot be have no BM.
like they say, only have lazy women, no ugly woman. sames goes lor. only have lazy women, no bo-BM woman...ok...
maybe you can share what is your latching/pumping schedule like and the pro bm mummies here can help you with their views, to increase bm...else take fenugreek or MLMMP lah...

I am the type of lazy mummy loh... I got to admit it lah... Then somemore baby is not here so I am feeling quite sad about it too... But hoh, I got 1 problem is that my mum's fridge... She got too many things inside there, I am so paiseh to fight the limited space for my BM storage... So for the past few days, I tried pumping like 6 hrs and freezed for a while. Then I try to feed within the day. I know 6 hrs is too long and I should pump more often... But got space constraints...

ask your mom to spare you space. for the sake of your baby, you have to be thick skin. anyway, being your mom, she sure will understand? i hope? coz you both are mums what, if you get what i mean.

my mil oso spared me space...although very little space but i try to make do. her fridge is choked full for such a big family of 8

yah, no wonder no BM, 6 hrs is too far apart. typical 3 hrs per session, pump as much as you can until your boobs get emptied, and another 3-5 mins more (of nothing) oso can. coz that will tell your brain to produce more aka "i dont have enough, gimme more please". drink lots of water lor.

your mom maybe dunno abt the spaces coz it might not cross her mind, so you just tell her lar.

I have encounter something like that before...a few times somemore. It was in our old house which we've always believed to be haunted! Me, my mum and sister all encountered before and we will pray in our hearts. The interesting thing is the "noise" will become softer and softer the "louder" we pray in our minds. But once we stop praying, the noise will return and we will have to "fight" with it again...really testing our will power and eventually our prayers will overcome the noise and we will be able to move our bodies and open our eyes. I seem to feel a sense of peace whenever I "win" such battles...funny hor.

i told myself it was because i was high on alcohol. but then again, cannot be leh, coz the whole experience was very surreal. cannot be hallucination.
 
Today is so not my day. Brought my boy back to PD again cos he's still coughing after a week. Got caught in the rain so had to hunt for an umbrella. But the moment I paid $7.50 for the umbrella and walk to the bus-stop, the rain stopped!!! Arrrhhhhh....

Reached home and gave my boy his medicine. Just when I'm about to put the bottle of cough syrup into the fridge, my fingers slipped and the bottle dropped on the floor and broke into pieces! My boy was just standing next to me but lucky he didn't suffer any cuts. There goes my $10 bottle of cough syrup...gotta ask hubby to but another bottle tonight...sigh!

$17.50 gone down the drain in one morning...is this called "po cai xiao zai"???
