2 yrs ago (i think?) got 1 lady gave birth downstairs her blk coz waiting for cab to come (she having contractions) then bb came out suddenly....
drama!

i heard they say if you give birth in plane got free plane ride for life ah? dunno true or not

so many mummies selling and buying their place hor, we should come up with database, so that can take each other's unit (if able to match) ...haha

pixie,
yes used to be free plane ride if give birth in plane but now no more cos regulation stated if gestation more than 34wks (i can't remb exact) cannot take plane rides (diff flight companies have diff regulations)...yes/no?

Aqua, my place 2 bus stops from interchange that's why cheaper. Also, the owner was eager to sell cos they already servicing the loan for their new condo in Katong. From my place, can walk to interchange but will take 15mins. I'm diagonally oppposite the swimming pool and near to the stadium too. That's why my hubby joke lor, no need to stay in condo, cross the road got swimming pool and sports facilities liao. :p

Pixie, think got to repay through 'resale levy' or something but can be waived if you buying a second bigger property from HDB or something like that. I also not very sure of the rules. Anyway, no way I can sell now also. Drool over new condos also no use. My Ils stay nearby so it's convenient plus got 'good' school across the road. ;P

Hmm...nobody seem interested in west side hdb? Now Jurong West 5RM cost $320-380k...still cheap compare to north, east & central! I prefer tiong bahru or bukit timah area. Also realized many of my frds/coll eyeing for Henry Park Primary School...why huh? very gd ah?

Steph, hehe, I used to stay at Jalan Bahar (NTU) for 3 years. Everytime can smell smoky 'kopi' smell. I used to stay at Alexandra/bukit merah area so I love the central locations but not west west lor. ;P

Aqua, we deliberately took 30 year loan so that I can afford to quit whenever I want to cos hubby's income can easily service the monthly loan. But whenever we got extra $ in CPF or cash, then hubby will go HDB to pay off home loan cos he likes to be debt free.

the further up west i go, the cheaper it is but its deeper in which i dont want. clementi just next to JE but its so ex too. dover not much flats ard the mrt, same goes for BV. holland V is too ex, queenstown, tiong bahru, commonwealth, redhill all super ex...got 600k++ one leh

if i buy JE, then no point coz my mil is shifting OUT of JE in the next few years to somewhere west eg holland v, commonwealth. so have to live near her for my #1 (if possible, #2)

steph
"beat me to death" i oso dun like JW. its like the end of the earth. but is cheap lar i have to agree.

kitsune
my mil place can smell cocoa at night. very very nice.
everytime new year or wat got celebration at science centre, sure got free fireworks display to watch.

kitsune,
Only if near Tuas/pioneer then can smell Kopi smell. Jalan Bahar is still okay except the stupid jets! very noisy but bo bian cos near my ILs. The only downside of west is like what pixie said, alot of china & indians nationals...neh...just opposite my flat is an open field & wkends (fri/sat) nite can see a group of indians nationals picnic at 12AM & sing song leh....disturbing the neighbourhood cos so late till hb buay tahan & called 999...complaint..haha

Pixie, you addicted to the cocoa smell ah? Until now, I don't know where's the smell coming from. Got Charlie's chocolate factory in JW issit? ;)

steph
same as my sis's place @sbwng!!
not open field but they lounge at the void deck ground floor.
the open field now got development so they cannot go in but last time oso lounge there.

btw, JE central near the JE lib, always got china & indian nationals lounge @ the open field too.

thats why like not my home like that kind of feeling

kitsune
dunno leh, my mil say got coca factory. you can smell the choc and the vanilla smell, at nite can smell nia, dunno why oso??

Pixie, nowadays tampines also like that. Don't know why but see a lot of Indian and Chinese nationals at playgroups and the nearby park. Bo bian lar, Singaporeans not producing enough so government need to keep on attracting foreign talent to come and work here. :p

kitsune: hey, u r from ntu? me too leh... i also dunlike jurong west, damn far n wlu to go city.. and i hate that cocoa smell...makes me wana vomit leh

wah lau kitsune, you should've seen the # in JE! everyday knock off i walk home, at least 50% of the crowd at any place are foreign (china & indian) nationals. no joke!
company bus drop off at JE central/mrt so everywhere you see foreigners

steph, thanks for solving the mystery.

steph
unfortunately, my co bus no go back trip. but got go to work trip in the morning. so i take the hougang bus (since i stay sengkang). if i ever stay over at my mil place, i will take the jurong bus to work in the morning.
giam siap one ley, how i wish got co bus take me home after work. east to west everyday very shiong leh *grumbles*

Aqua, me from Comm studies. Yup, I stay at bedok res area, everyday if commute from home to school to and fro takes 3 hours. So, die die must fight for ECA points and stay in hostel.

kitsune, i can also travel from boonlay to my plac at hougang, no mrt las time, travel time also 3 to 4hrs, super siong.bbut rather travel home than stay in ntu. haha

pixie
mine is major reno. do whole hse. dig out windows dig out floor type kekeke... about 25 - 30K. cheap cos this is my hubby's fren la.

hmm... I born in jalan tenteram (anybody born there) ? :p then enbloc move to Hougang then brother got married all move to Tampines... then I got married move to Choa Chu Kang... then now got children move to Ang Mo Kio... Wah come to think of if I covered a few places in life le... hahaha

eh Pixie I no like JE leh.. very crowded one hor... so many foreign workers ! sometimes if I go there on weekends also many workers hanging around there de... If I dun dress up scarly they come approach me for tel no. how ? hahaha cos I got dark skin they will mistake me as maid :p

Plus the smell of tobacco and cocoa smell.... eeeer so polluted :p

aqua

wah from boonlay to hougang takes 3-4hrs ? shock ! by bus and change bus izit ? very shiong leh...

i born in depot road then move to yishun then move to sembawang then move to jurong east then now to sengkang
oso covered quite a fair bit

LOL at chaye, they wont approach one lah, coz one glance can see you foreigner or not. if locals they dont dare to "kar cheow"

chaye, yes, take bus 80 fr houg to aljunmrt 40mins, then take mrt to boonlay, another45min, then take bus 199 to ntu another 15-20mins... plus waiting time more than 1 hr liao. to n fro, 3 to 4 hrs lor.

yah...bad memories..tht why i avoid west of sg...scare

hi jess

ic, by Oct, he should be 21 months? That's a good age. My gal started in end July. I felt she was too young to mingle with the older children but i didnt have a choice.

She took a month to adapt, since last week, she has been enjoying herself. Gotta harden heart every morning when she wails.

Jess, are you putting your boy in full day childcare so that you can get rid of your maid? And more time for no. 2 next time? Hee.

prata queen
