Thanks for sharing about the fisher-price booster seat. I hv yet to decided which one to get but hope to get my gal a chair/seat soon cos now got sales around.

Nez,

My gal also like to shout those 'ah ah ah' kind. Sometimes it will be accompanied with thumping of her hands and legs. Till now I have not figured out if she's shouting cos excited or cos she's frustrated.

Cereal
I am also interested to get the HT cereals but how come they don't carry normal rice cereal ah? I recall reading a mummy posting that better to alternate brown rice cos it's heaty. So was thinking of starting my gal with rice cereal first. I saw in the papers there's promotion for Heinz rice cereal at cold storage.

Someone asked about where to get anti-bacterial choppin board? - check out the ST - saw an advert selling at tangs for $16

i havent start my gal with cereal yet.

HT cereal is $6.90 (before 15% discount) per box. i think about 3 mummies staying in nearby location share, should be able to hit $200 easily. cos I order some teething biscuits too..

i want to buy the HT cereal too but they don't have the normal rice cereal , i heard it's better to start on white rice cereal instead of brown rice .

cos HT only sells orangic cereal, so thats why they dont have white rice cereal??
i also heard better to start with white rice cereal, but my MIL tells me its better to give brown rice cereal. then i ask her what about barley n oatmeal?? she says is very good for babies too. so i decided to buy all the 3 types of HT cereal.

hmmm, i wonder whether we have the same pd keep insisting we intro cereal due to low weight gain and reflux. not very pro bf and always expect at least 1kg weight gain per month...

white rice also have organic one .
i think HT don't produce white rice cereal , maybe they encourage baby to take brown rice instead of white rice ba

yes yes, mine is a lady - vtoh rite?? vtoh is much better than the guy one according to my husband's colleagues. they all deliver their babies in raffles too.
i deliver in raffles hospital on 7 jan 08.

yes yes vtoh! i delivered on 14 jan 08 and my bb was in hospital for a wk under her care.

i agree she is not bad, gets results, but sometimes i feel she's too results oriented so much so that she can push for quite drastic measures to reach the objectives.

but all in all it was a very pleasant experience delivering at raffles. who's yr gynae? mine's kk chow
 
Me at fairmont singapore today, booked 1 night stay using amex hotel voucher for $140. Bought a new laptop at pc show so that next time can surf wireless at home, more convenient with bb.

Will b at Salt Lake city in US. one hand push pram one hand pull luggage... am worried if i can handle feeding semi solid food to baby and pumping on plane/transit .... stress stressss ... whole journey approx 24 hrs....

I would suggest you go and see pd. Stuffy nose, hard for baby to sleep well and it will be a long night for you. Monitor for fever. If it's rising, need to sponge him likely. Anyway, pd wouldn't prescribe bb with antibiotics. They will give running nose syrup, panadol and nose drops to clear the nose block etc.

My #1 kenna all the time, no #2 twice sicne birth.
 
Finally my boy start to flip yesterday.

Violetice, agreed with blackbatz. Better bring him see doc. Too much mucus can cause baby to block nose and phelgm will come.

My son refused to sleep at 9pm+ (his usual bedtime) last night. =( Struggled for 1hr+ before he finally dozed off.

It's confirmed that my son is teething. I can see 2 teeth starting to protrude out from his bottom gum today. I didn't noticed it last week and from Mon to Fri, my mum looks after him. So that's why I only know today.

So maybe teething is the reason why my son's sleep pattern has gone hay-wire for the past few weeks. =S
 
intro solids

I am trying my best to 'ren' and hold off solids till he is 6 months. I am so crazy that i have already bought 2 packs of cerals. 1 is brown rice ceral from Healthy Times and 1 is rice ceral from Heniz.

Still got 4 more weeks+ b4 my darling hits 6 months. Will look around for a high chair today to get ready for his 'open ceremony'! *LOL*

I can only see the top of the teeth now. But definately not like 2 BIG teeth already there =P

My friend's daughter has 2 teeth at her bottom gum when she is 6 months old. So i think it's more or less there. But every baby varies.

My mum said shouldn't teething be at around 8months old?? But I did read that teething can be from about 4/5 months to 8months.

Audrey, I'm interested too if price is before 20% but I scrolled through and saw SSW said that prices are after discount. Don't know if that's true. Think it's best to confirm with SWW.

On Sat, I bot Tommy Tippee feeding set from Mothercare (changes color when hot) and Mag Mag sippy cup from Pigeon (BHG 20% sale).

I wasn't able to find the Munchkin manual grinder too at BHG.

Evenflo the neck is verr narrow. Accordingly to the sales girl, Evenflo is the best when talking about the breakage. Other brands like Pegion & Nuk, we have to be more careful when use it. But in the end, I bought the Pegion glass bottle. Afraid Evenflo teat will be rejected by my girl so just play safe. ;))

goodbaby, I bought pegion bottle it at isetan scotts yesterday. -) i think I got it 20% off, original price was 19.90. there was so many glass bottles (Nuk, evenflo, pegion- small & big sizes), I think they have stock back lor.

i put the glass bottles into steriliser to sterilise
 
hi goodbaby, i bought big bottle 240ml and wide neck. ;))

My mum doesnt like to use the steriliser, and shes the one will be using the glass bottle for my bb during the day. I think we should boil the bottle? as if we rinse the bottle with real hot water it might damage the life of the bottle right? ;)

Ic. 3oz is small. My hospital (Eastshore) gave 4 ounce glass bottles. I have about 9 which I use. I have 5 in the fridge for baby in the day time (EBM) and I bring 4 empty ones to office each day.

I sterilise in the Pigeon steriliser.

I mentioned I bought the Mag Mag sippy cup. Anyone knows if it can be sterilised? The instructions says “Before first use, place in boiling water for 5 min to sterilise. Do not leave in difect sublight or sterilising solution”. So, does this mean I can put it in the pigeon steriliser? The cycle is about 15 min long.
 


a suggestion on using of glass bottles

you may like to purchase 2-3 large glass bottles and use this for storing EBM in the fridge. For feeding, you can use the smaller hospital ones.

My baby does not always finish her EBM so what my MIL will do is to feed her with 2 oz first and top up from the fridge if baby is still hungry. This way, my EBM wastage is minimised. I am struggling to keep up with her demand.

Also since the hospital bottles are FOC, if it drops when feeding, i will discard even if there is no visible crack.
