Good morning mummies,

Reach office SUPER early today. 6.45am!!! Cos' hubby taking morning flight & i follow the cab. Now feeling very "gong"... Zzzz

Mom2nat - U mean there's playgroup with parent accompanied kind? Is it daily?

Any mummies going to clear leaves in dec? Wanna organise a gathering during the weekday? Or attend any trial class together ;) Think Julia Gabriel got 5 days sessions during nov/dec but may be quite costly.

I am just wondering how do u all cope with during confinement when u do not get to see #1 daily??? I miss Javin alot!!!! Only get to see him on weekends..... And this confinement seems so draggy!!!! Today only the 9th day!!! ARGH!!!!!

i told my hb i put x in waiting list for my first skool for the march 2010 intake he not happy. say never consult him. i had to placate him by saying i have not decided on any centres, every centre is on waiting list for our boy, have not visited them at all. i think he wants to be involved in the process. if i am bring him over to inspect the centres, and if his mind is closed against this, he will sure pick this and that. worse thing is if the centres keep toking about half day CC then he will say "thats not playgroup wat!"...aiyah "paper cannot wrap fire" leh...how how how...to pull off this thing is so....many things to consider

Pixie, you go and visit the centre first then talk to the CC teacher, centre principal even better. Tell her that your hubby is very resistant to the idea of CC and tell her that you need help to convince your hubby. Ask her if she can play along and avoid using the word CC. Tell her what are your hubby and MIL's concerns so that she can help by preparing answers beforehand for the tough questions that your hubby will ask.

If you have a chance, during your Fri off days, bring Xandall to the CC so that he is familiar with the facilities and teacher. If he doesn't cry and looks happy/curious when you visit the CC with your hubby, it's half a battle won.

Then when you are all ready, bring your hubby to tour the CC (make sure the CC teacher or the centre principal is around to 'pak gar' with you). Try not to ask any questions, be the subservient wife for once and let your hubby be the 大男人 to do the asking so that he will be convinced himself.

1 month passes very very very easily one. You should rest more and do the things that you want to do but no time to do for a long time, if you have "free" time now.

HR was with me throughout the confinement. Though it's so nice to have him accompanied me everyday, but I can tell you, there is no time for me to rest one loh :)

Aiyoh, like that, jialat liao. How about start with some trial classes like JG etc. You bring X to go for first trial first. Only if it's good, then bring your hubby along to show him X is enjoying it and learning a lot from the classes. Then slowly suggest cc again lor.

oh, the afternoon might be better. Let fix a time and place. lol Yes, Xavier still attend zoophonic playgroup until Nov.. then I will decide again if I will let him continue for Jan later. Parent have to accompany kind.

Yes, zoophonic playgroup need parent to accompany, 2x a week. Tampines just had mygym also have playgroup for 2 yrs and above. I am going to find out more.. that is also parent accompany kind.

i oredi planned to visit the centre first and explain my situation to the principal and the teachers and hope they can "play" along with me. then after that find a day to bring my hb down to visit.
never thought of bringing x over to see leh. thanks for this important part which i've overlooked. must let him walk from my mil house to the centre to see if he can take this journey or not coz must cut thru many blocks of flats...

about your last part. ah.....thats the wisdom of women *clap*clap* i will listen to the wise sage kitsune for once thanks ah

thats why keen to join JG and see if x likes it or find some enrichment class that x likes so that my hb is more open to the idea of "learning" outside = good...
my hb and his family all the same - they are a very suspicious lot and their minds are always closed to a lot of things

eg. got ppl come to my parents' place to view the rented room. my hb say very dangerous etc. but it is so common practice, my parents' rooms has several turnover till now, but my hb is just very suspicious of everyone and everything and always thinks ppl are up to no good.

i just called up another cc centre, the lady in the office said there is no fixed time for learning in the AM. i asked her for a rough schedule and she say after grouping, up to the teacher to decide how long and what to do.
i understand "what to teach" varies but no fixed schedule for how long each "lesson" is?
got like that one or not ah? sounds so...weird...like so ad hoc like that rite
 
Pixie, ya better to bring Xandall there a few times to warm up first. If Xandall goes to the CC and cries, your hubby will definitely say, "See, CC no good, once he goes there, he cries. Better let my mum look after him."

Haha, ya 女人要知道什么时候要装傻。Especially, since your hubby already not happy that you put him on waitlist without consulting him. Must 给他面子 now.

Korea trip is from 23 - 27 Dec (Long Long weekend holiday) Hee, only need to take 1 day leave on 24th dec. Taking 23 dec nite flight. U all need me to buy anything from there??

I have signed up Shichida for my son. But still on waiting list for next term in Jan 2010. Any mummies are also with them?? Rem Mei & evening rite but they seldom login anymore??

Cheer up ;) I also face the same problem as you last time during confinement cos miss my boy so much & cried with no reason, haha.. now think already so funny. Juz rem your son will not run away & he is well taken care by somebody else. This mth juz rest well, eat well, sleep well. Enjoy the quiet moments with #2. Play FB games & login here to chat with us if bored ;) Time will pass very fast.
 
ok i finally have the details for JG liao, its quite lengthy so those not keen sorry for the long post:-

For normal class
1 term = 10weeks
makeup lesson provided if you produce MC
no trial group available now, however, they will slot you in any available classes; max 2 trial children per class:

English weekday trial class is $48; class of 10
Mandarin weekday trial class is $44.50; class of 18
Bilingual trial class is $52; class of 20
*all not inclusive of GST*
Please refer to their website for timeslots
*ratio of teacher:child is always 1:5

If you are keen in signing up for a term:
School fees: $520 + GST
Registration fee: $35 + GST
Deposit: $50 + GST *paying a deposit guarantees a place for your child*
Material Fee: $9.90 or something like that

Hence per term is $567 (not including registration fee and deposit fee as these are 1 time payments)

6 mths or 12 mths installment plans available for any spending above $500

For Nov/Dec holiday class - PlayClub
-classes conducted only either in English or Mandarin; no Bilingual classes
-$330 + GST per week, each week 5 days of lesson; each lesson 2 hours; either 9am-11am or 11.30am-1.30pm

I'm oki with Week 1 @ Forum. (i.e 23- 27 Nov). If taking half day am leave, we can only take the 9 - 11am slots. Timing still ok to go back to work. Yeah Yeah!! Leave from Jurong together will be great ;) Can ask violetice along if she wants to be the #4 mummy ;)

Hmm, guess you might be interested in their facial or makeup product. I rem i bot their eyelash curler (battery type) last time. Is very lasting. Hope I can find it this time ;p

janbb, i heard shichida class is useful onli if mummy is prepared to do revision with the kid at home. otherwise, will defeat the purpose, hence i dint enquire more. my girl not home weekdays

Yes need to involve parents to practice with them at home. Say 15-30mins daily. They even want parent to attend a class to teach us how to go abt it and muz pay $170 for 1st time parent.

if you keen to go to EC bilingual class, usually only 2pm slots available and most prob they have spaces for 1 child so you have to attend the trial alone without other forum mummies. get me? thats what the lady has informed. either 1 or 2 allowed to join the trial class, depending on availability...
2pm is a lousy time for me as my boy sleeps from 12-3 and 9am slot is super hot until no slots available from now till god knows when. i have put my boy in a 2pm slot for east coast next weekend, maybe make him sleep early and wake up for lunch then chiongz there liao
 
Swiss Garden hotel (KL)

We have finally confirmed our flight on Silk Aor after much hesistation cos I guess this will be more comfy then budget airlines with a kid in tow.

Would like to check on hotel . We are looking into Swiss Garden hotel cos prices seems ok and also it looks centralised and we may stay on the club lounge floor for some extra comfort and service. WOuld like to check who have stayed before and can give me some feedback b4 we book or is there any other better hotel choices for me to look into first?

can tell you 9am sure no slots available for us one. that lady assured me liao coz she said this is a super hot timing.
i prefer 9am class or 2pm class. 11.30-1.30 very half fiak for me. my boy wakie at 7.30am everyday, i cant make him sleep at 10, and he cant "dong" until 1.30 so this is super weird timing for me

why dont we go seperately and compare what we did there so can see got any difference in quality or not?

i used before the mutli cleanse makeup remover, the toner, the emulsion, and the moisturizer.
i dont like the multi cleanse makeup remover coz its like facial foam and i need a lot each time and i got this film on my face.
toner is so so. imho, toner any brand oso can coz mainly its water
emulsion and moisturizer is ok. the moisturizer got 2 types, like 1 and 2 or something like that. 1 is meant for oily/combo skin, another 1 is meant for dry skin...
my fav actor hyun bin is the official laneige homme ambassador yay! and his gf, sun hye kyo is the official laneige ambassador yay2!

their cult product is the perfect renew dual eye cream (you can request for a sample in SG. try liao if good then buy in KR), snow crystal foundation/concealer (no sample). can oso try their water bank range, can get sample in SG and try. but this is old range. newer range is the white plus renew range & perfect renew range. last time SA explain the difference between the 2 i oredi forgot liao heehee

haha I called Nelson, he told me he is not a plumber but a renovation contractor. however he can still ask his plumber to take a look but after hearing wat is the problem he ask me go buy a new tap and replace it first and see how. If it still leak then call him wor. hehe

i've called and clarify with MOM that i have to be 4mths pregnant if my employer terminate me i will get my maternity leave. if not i wont have anything.

Hope i can work till feb without any problem here, have applied other jobs as well in case.

bebeyan, that's great to hear. Just need to lie low until 4 months pregnant then you are safe. First trimester, tummy easier to hide so still ok. My friend ah, even when her tummy is already showing and colleague/boss ask if she's preggie, will answer back, "You think I'm Fat is it" If anyone asks you, just deny all the way. Jia you!

I went for the June holiday program and my girl loved it! Got pics on my facebook.
Decided not to sign up for this Dec program cos find the themes not that exciting, but that's just me lah....definitely worth to go...

Was thinking of going for this instead. I checked with them and they said we can sign up even though our kids not officially 24 months yet.

Why that cc like dat one? Like so disorganised.

When I visited Kinderland, the teacher showed me the classroom for the toddlers and roughly went through the schedule with me. Cos most todds only attend class for 3 hrs from 9am to 12pm (so called playgroup), only 2-3 come in from 7am to 7pm (full day cc). They will have free-play, story, songs, and whatever topic they're teaching for the term, etc alphabets, numbers, etc etc.

After going through the list of cc again, I think will still settle for Kinderland. Their fees around $430 so I'll be paying about $380 after subsidy. Anyway will just put my boy there for 6-9 months and then he will enter pre-nursery in a kindergarten in 2011.
