i wanna ask, Yesterday he had a full dinner liao. But he wanted my dinner too. So he ate rice again. Half an hour later, he asked for 240ml milk. 15 minutes after milk, he asked again. I gave him 160ml. That was 9pm+. Then 3.30am, he asked for 240ml milk again. Is this growth spurt or having thread worm??

tongtong
u believe in threadworms?
i just think its a growth spurt.
threadworms (even if have) wont be able to eat so much in his stomach. and mostly its urban legend IMHO.

pixie, i also dunno lei, cuz heard about threadworm which is common in toddlers. mum told me i had that too when i was a kid. anyway i hpe it's really just a growth spurt , cuz dont want him to wake up drinking milk at night leh. hopefully not nee gian also.

chaye, I had been to superstar virgo in May with my hb n my gal. IMO, the food is not as good as last time. But overall, we had an relaxing time..

nowadays so hygienic, kids wont hv threadworms ba ? Think is growth spurt la.. but your boy can really eat leh ! is he v big size ? above 90 percentile ?

shannonbaby ah...
Is it still free flow of food har ? been thinking where shd I go during nov/dec...

any mummies planning any short holiday ?

Chaye, erm, not considered big size wor, but pretty tall. Probably 11-12kg now. He doesnt drink so much previously, but recently it happened like that, thats why Im curious. Im not planning for short holiday, but going back to KL for 1 week +, considered holiday too hor? Hehe

chaye, not really free flow of food cos not buffet type. nw is seat down meal and something like 6 course meal. but u can ask for 2nd serving if u want somemore of each course. the only free flow buffet restaurant is the one on the top deck but food wise not as nice as the rest.
for short holiday, maybe u can try Club Med Bintan. Free flow of food and kids friendly too.

chaye
We went on Virgo in June, to phuket and penang. It was enjoyable, my girl asking for more.
Dec we gg Clubmed bintan. Still got promo, you can consider.

enemum, i see, is he starting playgroup next mon? Same school as gor gor? If yes, hopefully it'll be ok. My gal cried for 2 weeks then adjusted to school. :p

pauline, ernest is at cherie hearts childcare while di di eddric will only attend 1.5 hrs lessons somewhere at my market place...

cry cry lor...what to do....now dun cry...next time childcare or nursery will also cry

Chaye,
I am also eyeing at the SuperVirgo cruise in Nov, after my delivery. Compromised after thinking should save some money rather than going to Hokkaido/NZ. Now UOB cards have 35% discount and I am thinking of taking the 3D/2N cruise to Malacca/KL. Coz I am afraid 4D/3N to Penang/Phuket may be too long... Only thing is I don't know if I should bring my girl along...

Can ask mummies who had been to Virgo? Are all the meals included in the fare? Or only given certain amt of dining credits?? Coz this will be my first time going to cruise so I am not sure... Hahahha

shannonbaby/Mom2nat
Ya tot of gg bintan clubmed too ! but it's monsoon season in nov ? Got promo ah ? I go chk it out first

krystle
YES ! UOB cards have 35% ! 3D2N Mal/KL each is only $376 (balcony class) based on quad sharing
happy.gif

enemum,

hehe my plans ar...

send the boys to cc next week. let them get used to cc den i go deliver #3 (so that they wun tink is cos of #3 den they have to go cc). den #3 out, looked aft by CL (may extend CL by another mth) den i look aft or straight to infant care. spend more $ to have peace n happiness
happy.gif

meals are good.....well, cruise will force you to relax cos nothing much to do.

only the rooms are tiny lor....

UOB has discount ah....hmm....$376 for balcony quite cheap...but still have to plus tax etc

i thinking of going genting again

krystle,
yup, all meals inclusive. I think balcony class got $100 dining credit per room where u can spend on those restaurant which need to pay money.
That time I went for the balcony class promo (1 for 1), so quite worth it..

mylvera...quite a good plans....both boys go together hopefully not too bad...cos not alone ma

for about 6 months...expect them to fall sick quite frequently cos exposed to virus....

if i were you, i would have done the same then to tolerate your MIL

how much is your cc....? going to be tough financially

enemum,

exp! cost abt 1K for both. very tough on my financial. hence going to kick hb to find jobs once i deliver. meanwhile keep him at home to b househubby first hhhee

Chaye and Shannonbaby,

Thanks for the cruise info! Coz I am planning on 2 pax (just me and hubby) romantic rendevous, so will be less than S$500/pax. Unless no one to take care of my girl (coz MIL can only handle either #1 or #2, not both at the same time), then my girl will tact along loh...

Yes, last time got 1 for 1 promotion but that time already 5/6 mths preggie so cannot enjoy that great discounts. So the dining credits are additional? That's great!!! Actually, I am sort of eyeing Junior suite (got JAcuzzi)... But the website never states if this will be entitled 35% or not... If have, I don't mind paying a bit more...

Mylvera,
No lah, I am not so heroic like you leh. #2 has not come out yet, I don't dare to think of #3. Just that hubby has been complaining "No night life" for very very long liao. But must be careful not to "hit target" so fast loh. Anyway, the main aim is to relax and give myself some time to rest lah. Coz after maternity leave, most probably got to handle new job scope and start learning @ work all over again... Haiz...

Hi

Holiday with Elias in December\

We plan to bring my boy for his first trip overseas to KL via plane. (SQ ads my hubby says its safer then budget airlines and more comfy)

I am pretty worried as its our first time and he is really very fidety on plane. Does he sleep on laps thorughiut flight on can he be on bassinet when asleep?

Meal: He takes ceral in morning and baby food still. No much outside food still. How do we handle his meals huh he being a fussy eater and also pretty fidgety wherever he goes? Will he make much noise on board? How to keep him entertained and that he eats his meals for the 3 days overseas with us?

Also we are opting for a play pan in rm too.. Looking at a hotel near shopping centre. Which is a good spot. Near KLCC would be good? Cant go to china town this time as with pram hard lah.
Looking into those club room as heard good very good facilities and more private and some is about 60 more per nite. Not sure wana opt this kind or stay extra one nite. My hubby seems to like the club floor room kind lor

Any advises please?

Fern

Fern, the flight to KL is only 45 min, dont think he will fall asleep? So good that elias is still on home cooked food! Are you planning to let him eat outside food in kl or baby food still? If you stay in hotel the breakfast has wide and good varieties enuff for elias.

Chaye
Yup, it's monsoon. But you might get sunny days too. Even if no monsoon oso can rain lor. Hee... I am bringing my village... aka total 4 adults 2 kids, only $2400 for 5D4N. All inclusive. Very good deal liao.

chaye
I booked from clubmed, gg in dec.
My fren checked I think 2 adults 2 kids, ard $1700. I find it v good liao, since all in. hee...
I went b4 last time when "part tor" time... enjoyed it a lot. Better to go with more frens.

oh mom2nat
u booked fr them direct ah ? okok. last time we went there when no kids also n I love the place a lot a lot ! cos everything comes free ! :p:p:p hahaha.

oh forgotten to say thanks to u mom2nat ! too overwhelmed liao !

now at least got 2 choices.. either cruise or club med ! yeah !

chaye
u r welcomed. Errr.. but the promotion dunno end liao or not hor. Cos it has been ongoing for a few weeks liao.
My girl enjoyed the cruise v much too. But cruise quite costly oso lor. I put her in the kids playground, $10 an hour hor!!! The pool leh, too deep too small, too many pple. But it is relaxing lor.

Fern,

I went to KL in Mar this yr via Jetstar. Since it is a short flight, it really make not much of difference if u take SQ or budget airline. U can opt to upgrade ur seat for jetstar to the first row to enjoy more leg space for $20. Cos for infant, there will be no seat allocated. u got to sit him on ur lap during take off and landing and the crew will give u an infant safety belt to strap ur bb with ur own safety belt. the flight is very short and fast. so if u can keep him busy for 30 mins or so with toys or bb biscuits, it will be fine.

as for hotels, since u need to prepare food for Elias, mayb u can see if there are those rooms that come with electric cooker. Javier is taking milk and outside food when we were in KL. I bought the Pigeon instant food too but he don't really like it. (he wants to eat what we are having on the table when we were outside. I pack FM in tupperware container and check in. In additional, I took 2 milk feeds on board in milk dispenser, took thermal flask filled with hot water. the crew allowed me to carry them on board. and took his tiny bolster for him to hug during the flight in case he is afraid or bring his favourite toy. I din get a playpen in the hotel as Javier sleeps in between us..actually he cant sleep well cos he is not familiar with the place...so we had terrible nights....need to bring him down to hotel lobby to coax him to sleep then carry him back to room. I stay in Royal Bintang hotel. quite a nice hotel. they had 1 at Damasara and 1 at KL.

hey kitsune,

i am back from sentosa this afternoon...very tired but fun with Z in tow
happy.gif

And i must say the F&B outlets in sentosa is really ex aka "chop carrots" for locals like us.
A hotdog & drink set easily cost $7.90 from a cafes/bistros. Come to think of it, eating at restaurants is better cos air-con & with proper highchair for our tods. We had our dinner at Tastes of Singapore, food was nice (we ordered beef kway teow, chix rice, satay, kiddy meal for Z & a ice lemon tea all for $44.90)
Well apart from food, we also went underwater world (tic includes admission to dolphin lagoon) & UOB card get 15% off tickets
happy.gif

We also tried the glass cabin cable car ride & Songs of the sea...Z enjoyed himself very much
happy.gif
I will post photos of our trip on FB tomorrow...keep a look out!
Oh you were asking about the luge & skyride right? We wanna go for it too but too bad Z not tall enough...they got a height limit...i think need to be abv 95cm or so.

Fern,

That time I went Taiwan with Celeste in tow. We got a bassinet for her even though she was actually overaged already. Managed to bluff the air stewardess and let Celeste sleep in the bassinet. Very tight fit then with her legs spilling out. So I don't think Elias can fit into the bassinet now. ;)

Talking about food,
Do you all still bring homecooked food out for babies to eat? Or already eating outside food?
