Hi mummies, in case you want to consider for your cake orders. I have ordered from this lady this year cos she is able to make the fondant cake design E wants. We also decided to order a Pooh Bear agar agar cake from her at a special price. Will let you know how it tastes. =)

poissons, this yr's party is going to be small scale compare to last yr. Hopefully the guests not expecting the same standard haha. btw A is running a fever since sat & she has cough & running nose. Shan Dong good in treating this? I might want to try but they are close today.

Actually we stopped going to Shan Dong already cos' it was quite tedious to bring him there every week (cos' Hubby work late and I was simply too tired cos' preg). I think they are ok, but not very fantastic, cos' after a while, they just give you the same meds and do the same thing without really diagnosing you. My mum mentioned there's another one in Holland Drive, let me get the contact and sms you tonight when I go to her place in the evening. She prefers the consultation there.

Can i check if anyone of u has any brand new 4oz Desitin Cream (Creamy in blue box) to let go? I'm helping my cousin to purchase coz her 5 month old girl is in ICU for more than 1 month and she has been purchasing the 2oz tubes from pharmacy which can only last her for abt 1 wk.

hi girls, been so tied up. Took Matt 1.5 weeks to be fully recovered from his stomach virus, now he is down with a fever and running nose. Sigh... The last 2 weeks, I was either bringing him to the doctor's (been there 3 times in 2 weeks) or visiting for schools. Gosh, I never knew schooling can be so bad. Either all classes are full with long waiting lists, or too expensive or too far. I finally nailed down 2 today. Have decided on one of them but bringing my hubby for a final visit tomorrow and we will decide. I was so lucky to even get a spot, according to one of my friend who is a mummy here in Shanghai. I was almost comtemplating sending Matt for the French class while waitlist for the English class. Thank god, I managed to secure spot in English class.
Was telling my hubby I am so tired that I suggest I go back to work and he take leave to stay home with the 2 kids. He of course refused. hahah...

missA: Her agar agar cakes cost $45-50 normally but if you order a cake from her, she may offer you an agar agar cake at a special price of $25. =)

Here's the schedule of the party:
12nn - 1245pm: Games (2 games)
1245pm - 115pm: Meal time
115pm: Cake cutting
115pm - 130pm: Photo session
We can use the room till abt 2pm coz there's another party at 230pm.
As for our own lunch, you can either opt to have lunch with the kiddos or have yr lunch before/after the party. We'll have to order and pay for our own lunch separately shld the adults opt for have lunch in Mac Donald's.

same here for me. After my son goes to CC was down with fever last week and now got cough and running nose.
Worse, now passed to my girl and she also got cough which leads to water in the lungs. Luckily is initially stage...sigh... sleepless night for us last night. Really hope they get well soon

Hi gals, sigh... After Matt is well from his stomach virus, he started having fever / running nose early this week. Alas, supposed to start school next Monday, now also dunno how. Worse, I think he spread to Shannon, who is also down. Sigh, I have been to the doc's so many times since I came back. Somemore the flu season is really bad now. Saw in the news that in BJ, half the cases of flu are H1N1. Supper scary.
Michviv: Hey want to check with u, is there any eye drops we can use for kids. Matt has sensitive eyes so PD suggested that he used eye drops (Cromax-2)esp for the winter. But just this week, he started to have more teary eyes and when he wakes up, the tears have hardened. This never really happened before. I am contemplating if I shd bring him to see the doc's and check out what's wrong. Any advice?

my no1 started school 2 weeks ago and that's how no2 caught the virus. And yes he also got the stomach flu 1 month plus ago and then the whole family got it except my no2.
So when Matt goes to school, he might catch another round virus before his immunity builds up. In my no1's school, most kids are having running and cough.. this one recovered, the next one will get it...Guess could be due to cold weather and haze...

tinkabel: Sorry to hear that Matt is down again. When you mean that Matt has sensitive eyes, do you mean that he gets teary eyes very often? Does he rub his eyes often and will his eyes get red? What the doctor gave you is an anti-allergy eye drop and is relatively safe to use in children. The other alternative would be to get an antihistamine eyedrop but it would be similar to the one you have now, just different mode of action.
When you mentioned that his tears have hardened, do you mean like eye discharge that are hardened? It may be due to the dryer climate in Shanghai. Sometimes, the eyes get so dry that it overcompensates and produces tear to overcome the dryness. If that is the case, you can use hypermellose eyedrops to help maintain the eye moisture.

michviv: thks for the infor. Before, he would often rub his eyes and the PD attributed this to sensitive eyes, but never teary. Starting last week when he was recovering from the stomach flu, his eyes started looking a little swollen and that's when it started being tearful and the tears would hardened. This has not happened before so it appears a bit strange. In fact, not sure if I am being paranoid, I just feel one of my eyes also feel the same way, so I am thinking whether he caught an infection or something. Anyway was intending to bring him to a doctor today but the Spore doctor we have been seeing is not on duty today, so I guess we will hv to wait till next Mon. He's supposed to start school next week. Sigh, just feel so unprepared. If he doesnt recover over the wkend, we can't start on Mon. Was hoping he would be completely well so I can let him take the flu vaccine before winter hits.
