ASHM: No plans as of yet but hubby agreed to let E try out different trial classes again cos he see how E has benefited from the PDS structure.

lazykat: How do you find LNT? How much is their trial again?

LNT trial is FOC @ Toa Payoh branch when i enquire. Susequently they hv this promo for the 1st 100 ST readers who quote their ad. Else it shld be $150 for 3 sessions. I hv not been to SM, but at LNT the structure goes something like this:

- Greeting Song
- hands-on activity such as choosing which coloured outfit to dress the object, can be a snowman, boy, bear..
- memory skills like showing you a picture with 2 photos and u try to recall the correct sequence by placing the correct picture accordingly.
- flash card reading
- sing-a-long session
- hands-on activity such as counting and putting paperclips into a special-made cointainer, or other activities that teach the concept of tall and short.
- flash card reading
- Goodbye song

I like it cos you get some hands-on activity to do, so its not all just flashcards. I am still trying it out for another 3 sessions before I commit for a full term starting in Apr.
 
I know some may not like the third language, ie Japanese used. But to me on the contrary, i like that cos I know basic Japanese.

Each session is in 1 language which is why they usually get u commit to 3 sessions.

lazykat, haha same here! i was attracted to it becos of the Jap language. oh btw how come u hv another 3 lessons to go? considered trial too?
the rates hv gone up, it used to be $100 for 3 lessons, but ok la worked out to be abt the same as other classes.
so u're with which branch?

their term (3 mths) finishing in Mar so I pay pro-rata for the remaining 3 sessions. Currently @ the Toa Payoh branch, find the teachers still ok, esp the chinese one.

So long as the child is happy and the parent expects nothing in return for the classes (even thru tots), I think no harm going for class, but if the parent feels negativity, then stop. Cos your dearest can feel the teeny weeny bit u have.

This morn my parents brought A to the TMC Baby massage, my mum said she cried buckets but the video my dad took, she seem to be enjoying. My mums ays she cry so her massage for cut short. The massage is to tong her circulation. The doc says A's tummy is too big due to us overfeeding her so she suggest diluting her FM. Review again on Thurs. My mum says many coughing children was thr, from 2 mth to few yrs toddlers.

Hallo ladies!

Was on leave to bring Claire to check out the childcare centre that i m intending to put her in May. I got her registered there lah...

Anyway, my Mum told me that the centre got mozzies n the China teacher not very good coz i seen her feeding those Famous Amos cookies to the class thar Claire will be put in. In my case, i will tell the ppl there not to anyhow feed Claire food coz of her eczema! But its a temporary measure too, if Claire dun adapt to the envt there... I also got to withdraw her!

Cactus, good to hear that u pass out the tissues.. Better than hvg any ops... Must really build up ur body well before raping ur hubby!

Kitty, mabbe u take some nourishing tong shui to prevent heaty like snow fungus with pear or broiled soup like the "xi yang cai" + lean meat. All these will help

I'm also going to try out the PDS doddle bugs class (for 18 months and above). =)

Kitty, small thing... heard it from my Mum while she was telling me abt my preggy cousin who kena pimples on her head & body due to being heaty for eating too much junk.

This cousin of mine gone case, told her to eat more & well. Told me that she has put on 10kg and flared up at me... for saying that she can't be eating till she vomit... Last time told her to take folic acid, she claimed no need... Till her ATAS colleague said must eat, then go & take... Some ppl... I gave up!

MissA, big tummy due to overeating har? Okie, Claire also has big tummy & my Mum always worried that she has worms in the tummy!
 
Morning Mummies!

Does any of your toddlers will wake up in the middle of the night and want to take a walk outside of the room? Ash has been like that for the past few nights - he would wake up pointing at the room door and the nanny has to carry him outside to walk one round and he go back to slepp after that....How come like that huh??

weishy - you too? did you get them the last time when preggy with Hayley? I was ok with Ash but now, seems like there are spots coming out!! Did you see a doctor? I am so scared that i will have a breakout!!
 
ASHM, hormonal changes are normal... but she really eats alot of heaty food... Like fast food, fried chicken wings, sardine puffs etcc... Then she dun drink enough water... And told her to check with the gynae on any creams to apply.. She also never listen.. So i just gave up!

Think Ash is going thru a phrase lah... Claire sometimes will demand for that but i told her outside got doggies to bite her... so must go back to sleep.

Weishy, Claire also cried when she s just back in SG... but i think she s back to her normal self... Yesterday i was on leave, so left alone with her in the noon.. So funny, she was trying to dig out some toys from the toy box.. but she almost toppled in n she screamed.. It was funny & scary at the same time lah.. I immediately went to pull her out... So i told her,"Mama going to kitchen, u better be careful if not later, Mama can't pull you out." After that, i peeked at her.. She was quite careful in digging the toys out!

oh ya, what milk powder is C drinking now. my ex-colig told me her 5m bb dun drink much; she gave enfalac HA (coz bb is intolerant to cow's protein) but took ages for her to drink up one bottle of milk!

C is the same esp if she wakes up earlier than her usual mid-nite milk feed. will cry n want to be carry n if she still see light outside the bedroom door, will point to that direction and wana 'open' the door. we just bring her out for awhile, like to the kitchen to give her some water. then walk back in to the bedroom. then she will guai guai go back to bed liao.

Kitty, Claire is drinking the Japanese FM, the morinaga brand (cant be bought in SG) i need to order from HK. Claire sees doggies & any animals also go "woof woof".

Weishy, me so angry at the HK supplier... I email them my order hor.. No response back.. Then, the FM delivered to my office just now and charged me HKD$437 for the delivery when previously they told me HKD$350 even though the postal is HKD$306. I m pissed off abt them charging me w/o acknowledgement or what... They re going to get it from me!
 
Kitty, the milk powder can hor.. all in Jap.. No Angmo or chinese words... Ya, the Japanese supermarket here dun sell this brand!

I did let Claire try Goats' milk and i think she loves the taste of it... Its very nice!

Hi mummies, hope everyone is well. Me jus came back from Japan. Pretty nice time over there even tho its my 4th time .. had a short me time so now come back enjoy time with my girl!

Weishy- got lots of brands for milk in Japan. I was at the "drugstore" and they had many many packet baby food and formula milk. They also have those pigeon juices. Not tto ex abt Y160 onwards. Think u need to know how to read japanese or at least chinese characters to know the ingredients.

KittyB, so qiao I jus wrote the recipe for snow fungus and pear dessert in my blog. Jus wan to share my humble recipe.

U gals very onz abt classes me dun really bring her but I tink its a good start to get them interacting with other kids esp if no other children at home also they are like sponges now so its the best time to expose them to things! If got enuf $$ and time y not? but in moderation I guess...
 
poochi:no la i dun read japnese.....just see from packaging...hayley drinks those juices too btu i super dilute them kakakkakak one small box can mix 4 to 5 bottles of water :p

my friend who lives in japan told me...in japan the quality of stuffs go by $$$$$ so mroe ex then better wor.......

I hvnt committed on LNT new term starting in Apr yet, cos they cant let me switch fr a wkday to wkend halfway thru the term. Anyway next term Fri got 2 PH, they will only reimburse for 1 session, so lugi. May switch to Thur or Sun to maximise.. ha

ZY tummy can get very big if she din poo too. To think she is poo-ing 2 times a day and imagine all that in there if she din poo for 2 days!

prob Ash is overstimulated in the day, dun worry, shld be fine soon. ZY sometimes sleep talk too, guess they are juz "sharpening" their newfound skills.

G took karihome (goat's milk) when he was younger. Smelled nice but I never tried, shld be not bad since he never reject. Can be found in supermarkets and guardian pharmacy.
 
Kitty, Haha.. She got get it from me. I can sell her coz i got 16 tins now! Oh, u can ask her to let her bb drink the "kai nai cha" as it helps to stimulate appetite.

I did check with my cousin y they buy Moringna coz this brand is famous for helping baby & toddler poo. Meiji brand is good for the skin complexion. How true it is, i dunno? If its not out of desparation , i wont even let claire drink it... So expensive and difficult to get!

Claire indeed high maintenance! But at least it suits her, hopefully when she is older, can take those generic brands.
