Btw, forget to tell u ladies... This yr Taka baby fair on 12 March 09...

ASHM, u might wanna check out whether the Maclaren XT price there at the same time n see got better deals or not.
happy.gif

Poissons, Grace: Hahahaha....so that is why Ashlyn suddenly cried so loudly! I thought what happened. How could I miss such exciting action!

Vitamins: I just feed E fresh fruits everyday. Maybe I should start to feed him Cod liver oil. Hmmm...

missA, milk & honey only take in for age 2 & above.. heard abt good comment before and superb near me and it is only $180 (after subsidy) but hor when i call and enquire the other time, they dun sound that friendly tho :p

michviv, wow! i believed you went to Odyssey le.. very impressed hor.. superb tempted but really too exp for me. Ur hubby very good hor tho not confirmed but willing to consider. u went in the morning or afternoon? the other time I went on afternoon, so all half days students are left liao, the centre very quiet but still good place.

cactunah, *hugs hugs* pls pls take care, i went thru the same process & also did the blood test, but things came too fast tt I din even got the chance to see my blood test. eat more "bu" now cos ur body needs it. and dun overstrain urself.

michviv,
you have any luck in contacting LSH for their Open House? I tried calling, leaving voice msgs and even email, but no reply! But i managed to call Agape at NTU Alumni Club, we can just walk in, no need to register with them (Open house is from 10am to 2pm).

Actually i was quite slack in feeding G with vits cos' I have been feeding him with fresh fruits everyday too. His fav are strawberries, kiws and bananas...so I'm quite puzzled why he always kena those viruses.

kaye, Haha thought they say confinement drink water will get water retention! Haha. I have been drinking sparingly Haha. Your auntie mist have been really nice to claire! Come back she is not used to all the scolding Haha.

Poissons, my mil worked in agape before and she is against it. Don't know if its a branch thing or not.

Mm, Haha, hope so hope I Jia you ah. That time I could fit into pre preggie jeans after confinement for travis. Now, sigh. I still so yaya , put away all the preggi clothes liao Haha.

Michviv, Poissons, I also didn't give travis cod liver oil ley. What brand are u all giving? He only takes an apple a day. Hoho.

K@ye:i know la prices almost the sma ebut how much does the shipping cost????

poissons:hehehheheh G so cute and sporting!!!!!!

ASHM:good la no MS...so this time u wish to hv B or G??????

weishy - boy girl also ok la as long as the baby is healthy!! So funny my MIL told me that I am having a girl this time because she saw Ash's nipples which is flat!!! What kind of theory is this ha???!!!

Piggypiggy: Haha. No leh. Haven't gone to visit yet. Hubby is very busy with reservist now so no time. But he was the one who asked me to look at Odyssey so I think the least we can do is pop by one of these days.

Poissons: I left a message with someone who picked up the phone and they called me back leh. I think even if you don't get through, no harm coming down to visit.

Cindy: I don't feed E any cod liver oil yet. Will discuss with his daddy then decide. hehe.

Weishy, the shipping is HKD$350 but the supplier no response!

Cindy, heck abt the water retention. Water helps to keep u hydrated n MILK production...
happy.gif

ASHM, what?? I tot all nipples on our kids are all flat now! Haha.. so funny... Can help me ask ur MIL if flat nipples on gals, then next kid is what gender?

hey see my naughty Matthias in action. Latest stunt: Learning how to do a somersault. And keep trying to do it on the sofa and bed. And somemore he now can climb by himself up the sofa. Really can't leave him unattended at all now.

2232148.jpg

Cindy,
against Agape ah? But both Jovan and Ashley are there leh..hmm.. Actually my MIL is working in a childcare centre too, Kindercorner (Science Park II), but she was telling me that for 18mths to 2 yrs old, the curriculum is basically juz teaching them some basic stuff, sing songs, snack time, nap, etc...I can't expect much cos' its mostly for the office workers who send their kids there for convenience. Good thing is she can be there to watch G lah, so I can be more assured...sigh..dunno leh, in a dilemma.

tinkabel,
hee..Matt is so michievously CUTE! haha..G also knows how to climb the sofa, grab the TV remote and switch it on. Over the wkend he just learnt how to climb my bed, so dangerous! We have to now lock my room door so that he won't zoom in there when nobody is watching him...sigh...BOYS!

piggy, it's quite impossible to get thru to milk & honey. I am still considering cos thr's ano non aircon place in Ghim Moh which is nearer to me. I still hv to find time to visit cos need to make appt & on weekdays only
sad.gif

tinkabel, I diligently feed A with the vits & CLO. She was well for a month before getting sick all over again. Doc says as long as she's in school, she will fall sick all the time.

michviv,
yah u missed the action man. boy it was funny.
garreth came by and call ashlyn, jie jie...then i say ok kiss jie jie. haahaa he kiss once on the cheek, twice on the mouth.. i was quite surprised that ash never turn away. cos most of the time, i kiss her on her mouth, she will turn.haahaaahaa.so funny i tell u.

kaye,
she cry awhile only lah, distract then stop liao...

ladies :u guys were lucky!!!!!hayley climbs up and down the sofa b4 she cna walk!!!!!!!!after she cna walk lagi expert!!!!!somemore can stand at the edge and do diving with her legs first.....see la.......we just let her ....of cos she falls but climbs again............bo pian with her..........

ASHM:good good me too :p ,hayley also hv flat nipples le
happy.gif

K@ye:hkd 350 is quite cheap le
happy.gif
btu if u need i can lag it back for u.

they deliver to ur house or not??if nto so ex.....

missA:harrrrr hayley does go to playgroup 3 x a week touch wood so far oki.....i guess those parents in hgk very careful about not bringing their kids to school if sick

Tinkabel,
ZY can hi-5 with Matt too! In fact, I am the one who taught her that cos she likes to see things upside down now.. not exactly a somersault. She attempts to do a split earlier @ GUG.. i dun recall teaching her since i cant do one myself! So better watch what we do or say now with these copycats.

ZY also kisses us on the lips with mouth opened, but she doesnt really lean fwd, cos usually the adults will be kissing her with her mouth opened.. ha

Weishy,
in fact, she juz did that on her bed b4 juz her zzz, but very fast, so no time to grab the camera! Will try to.. hee

michviv - are you putting Ethan in any playgroup before the class in JG starts in July?

missA / MM - How did you find the trial in GUG Suntec?

K@ye - Ok i will ask my MIL when i see her the next round
happy.gif

lazykat - ya, i gian gian wana do something during the long ML but hor, like u said, maybe end up another 'white elephant' in my kitchen! :p but hopefully can at least use it to bake cookies ONCE lah...

gloomybear,
new place ah? when moving in??
btw, wat's a EF oven?

ASHM,
glad u got the contacts
happy.gif

yup, another month (or less) to go, getting gan cheong and my active baby's not helping coz kept kick-boxing me from within... gahhh... not sure if boys are more active leh coz last time C was moving a lot but not 'kicking' me that hard! hmm...

re: pregnancy wt
wah, weishy & ASHM putting on so fast ah! :D
is ok lah... now just eat and enjoy lah. i regret didn't take enuf durians earlier on - now gian but can't eat liao, too heaty!

cindy,
only 6kg left ah, good oredi liao leh... last time my 5kg remained then got preggy again, this time lucky dnt put on much wt but only worry abt the sagging skin n water retention! but keeping fingers crossed that the post-natal massage will work miracles!!! my jeans ah, all instead storage liao coz hip too big, cant get it up! ahaha...

missA & Poissons,
hope your todds get well soon ya!!

re: kisses
my C stil dun know how to kiss leh, ask her to kiss she will give us 'heading' instead! ahahaa...

kittybride - relax and take it easy ok.... i guess boys are more active..heehee...ash also kicked and moved alot when he was inside my tummy! Are you taking alot of coconut water now??
happy.gif

ashm, hehehe to me is jus so-so. it seems like most of these classes are almost the same except LNT n SM alike. I used to bring my son to trials n also was with 'I CAN READ' for 1 term.

GUG, I CAN READ, PDS...i guess more or less abt the same. it may seem interesting at first, but aft a few classes, basically only the 'theme' for the week changes...but the class module /structure is abt there.

sorry if i sound discouraging. but thats the way i perceive these classes. i m more or less confirmed NOT sending M to such classes n put her in daily toddler's class/playgroup instead until she is much older say, 4-5yrs old then i will consider enrichment classes. for daily playgroup (3hrs kind)i think she will learn more stuff n also will hv a proper daily routine of 'going to school'.

however i m giving LNT some serious tot later part of this yr aft i settled my new hm - cos now dunno which branch is more convenient for me.

the above is jus my personal opinion...hope i didnt offend anyone.

ASHM:hey last pregnancy me never take coconut water at all le.....wats it for ????

MM:me too i think some is almost the same alomost weekly.......unless different i dunno but the one in hgk 3 x a week but usually the same week after week le.......me also thinking of withdrawing also :p

MM - Thanks and its good for you to share your personal opinion - this is what we need to know
happy.gif

Weishy - My mum told me to take it the last time as she said is to cleanse the internal body heat. Do that only at the last month of your pregnancy if not it will be too liang......

ASHM,
yup, just had one coconut just last nite coz body over heaty - took baked beef the day before n fell sick ystdy... too heaty for me liao lor.
intend to have coconut juice at least trice a wk now...

weishy,
some say the coconut juice will also cleanse the bb from the residue of the white protective thingy lor. then bb comes out more clean :D not sure how true lah but last time wif C, she was still pretty much covered for almost 2 days on her forehead lor - looks a bit yucky back then! ahahaa...

lazykat,
i went for LNT last sunday; it was the jap session. it was so.... long leh, 1.5hrs and even though only 6 kids (C included), it can be distracting when ONE start to throw tantrums! my C was distracted whenever one kid start to fidget/scream/etc and then she also had her bouts of about 3 times - thinks she also felt the session was too long liao, esp when she has to sit still for the entire lesson!

hoping this coming lesson in Chinese would be much better lah - at least she understand some simple words oredi.

MM - agree with you too... m just letting C try out n also for me to find out what's available. but once i pop #2, most prob no time for those ECC liao - will put C to childcare and get her on a routing as well while i cope w #2.

i thk #2 will also be 'short-changed' on trial lessons since wil be too busy handling both! ahaha...

tinkabel:
Matt doesn't look like a 16 month old tod.
happy.gif
Looks very big.
happy.gif

Cindy / Kittybride:
I put on 5kg for my prev pregnancy and the 5kg still stay with me. So now I have put on 7kg for 2nd pregnancy, so I hope I won't have 12kg with me when I deliver.

That day gynae said bb dun grow bb, so I go and eat durians, so I put on 2kg within 2 weeks and bb put 300g, so gynae asked me to stop eating durian.
happy.gif

What is the weight of yr bb now? Mine last week 32 weeks was 1800g.

Weishy / ASHM:
Seems like both of u r doing well. Can put on weight and eat is a good thing.
happy.gif

MissA:
What happened to yr girl? I tot she is doing well in the child care?

u mean the school give her honey and milk is it?

rachel c
going for my appt this fri, hopefully bb grows bigger liao. last chk up at wk 30, bb only 1.2kg nia. i thk now bigger coz my tummy also getting bigger
happy.gif

how you coping with #1? do you still carry her? my gal still wants me to carry even though i told her mommy tummy pain pain cannot carry... but she still insist and will wail big time (just keep wailing while standing at same position with her arms up)... sigh, end up i give in lor... she oredi climb up to my head!!
i thk honey and milk is name of the childcare center leh... heeheee....

Kittybride,
how come its 1.5 hrs? Ours only 1 hr and its enuf for me n ZY liao.. Our class quite small, 3 when I first start, now only 4. Mine is the disruptive one, sad to say, 3 more to go for this term before i decide to continue or not.

Foetus grows exponentially towards the last tri, so still got time to beef him up..
happy.gif

ASHM,
I went for the GUG trial yesterday @ Suntec, find it so-so, more for ZY to play with other todds, as usual, she goes around and attempts to sit on the chair when everyone is on the mat.. but she has fun based on all the hugs and giggles
happy.gif

MM,
is there any such playgroup nearby our SK area? Cos i also scared once she goes CC, falls sick too easily.

lazykat,
ya, was told Jap class is longer coz the teacher need more time to explain. 1.5hr too long; even i felt tired! i think there is only ONE boy who sat thru the whole class n was able to participate well - shd be full time student coz he can recite the japanese numerics from 1 - 10!! amazing... and he's also year 2007 baby!

so sad my gal verbal skill still limited. dun know how to catch up or learn with the rest in the class if i sign her up! hmm...

Kittybride,
can't compare, cos dun forget ours the yr end baby, our class also hv a 20-mth old todd who can recite 1 - 10 in chinese, after the teacher. She has been attendin since 12mths according to her mum.

But I do see some slight improvement, like now she likes to pull her little chair to the low table and do some activity, be it reading on her leaptouch or playing with coinbank.. so i think the classes did hv some impact on her afterall
happy.gif

lazykat, i intend to put M in Talent plus playgroup when she reaches 18mo. i think the one nearest to me (us) is at blk 303 somthing. i will check it out again.

cos by May, my hb will be busy with his new biz, i might be the family chauffeur, it will prob be good if i can 'park' M in the playgroup for a few hrs in them morning while i run errands, marketing etc. then when i move to PR later part of the yr, i will transfer her to the PR branch. Favian used to be at PR branch n i tot the fees were reasonable n the teachers are quite well trained. Oh the good thing is that Talent plus practises partial montessori teaching.

i think its sort of a good exposure for ZY before u put her in CC. at least she can slowly build her immune system by mixing ard with other children - its a matter of time.
as i was telling ASHM the other day while at Gogo, my son doesnt really fall sick (*touchwood)as much as other kiddos ard me who attends childcare.

kittybride, dun despair OR compare
happy.gif
...every child is unique.

for M, she picks up new things pretty fast n i tink its becos she has an older sibling to learn from- or rather imitate from. U can observe ur #2. its quite amazing.
n i agree with Kat too, yr end bb tends to lose out in terms of learning. so its nt fair to compare our Nov babies with those in the classes.

my son is an Oct bb...i also feel that he tends to be slower in picking up skills compared to those children in the same yr, but early half of the yr.
as long as she is keen to learn, she will get there sooner or later
happy.gif

MM/ Lazykat: I was also thinking of putting my son to playgroup or CC. But I don't know where.

MM: Talent plus is half day playgroup?

Kittybride: you must be getting excited now. Another one month, and your second one will pop. :)

lazykat, jus to add:
the 2-3hr playgrp in Talent plus is only for 18mth to nursery 2 (N2- 4yrs old)
aft that i put Favian in Kindy at Treasurebox cos Talent plus does nt offer Kindergarten classes.

alternatively u can find other schools that offers classes from Toddlers all the way till kindy.

Rachel: No la, in terms of size, Matt's ave. He's abt 10.2kg now only.

Re: Playgroups
MM, I tend to agree with u. My mum made the same comment also. Cos we signed up with Gymboree here in SH. Then realise, the activities are somewhat similar wiht different music or theme changed. not too much a big deal. I wun sign up anymore after I am done with the current sessions.

tinkabel, ya i believe so. maybe for 1st kid, usually we tend to be more 'ON'..hehhe. so poor M, didnt really go for any proper classes exccept trials..LOL.
i told hubby we rather save the money n let them attend enrichment when they are older - those that they can enjoy n see results.

good lessons i would recommend will be abacus - my son is learning now n i see improvements
happy.gif
- but thats way too early for our Nov babies! hahaha

Plim, u can consider this for Bella.

n now my son tells me that he wants to learn swimming, so signing up for something they enjoy i think is more mmeaningful. I find it a chore to bring M for lessons evryweek (usually those are in town area) n not knowing if she truly enjoy it or not. tats lazy me la..!

lazykat/MM
yup, can't compare but somehow feel that it mgt frustrate her coz she dun understand... maybe more is from me lah.

and yes, she also likes to pull out her little chair and sit to do some activities - having snacks, playing wif her toys or just scribbling on a piece of paper. at least that takes up some of her time instead of roaming about the house n pulling out towels/linens/etc!! :D

the other day i let her transfer cloth pegs from one basket to another while in the kitchen... ahahaha... that gave me at least 15mins to prep lunch while keeping an eye on her as well! :D

Classes for todds now:
I kinda not agree with MM's thots (sorry MM!). Personally I enjoy bringing G for these classes and I think he enjoys attending too. They may not understand everything, but it's good to expose them to new things. For G, we make a point to recap/practise some of the stuff he learnt in school, ie. tap the mat, knock the mystery basket, the hand signs for the songs, etc..and amazingly he can remember and anticipate it during the class. And I reckon this is why the class always have similar activities, music or theme - repetitive actions/gestures will form a permanent memory for them rather than we keep on doing different things with him every week and they can't digest all of them in one go.

Just my two cents worth
happy.gif

poissons, yes i do agree with u regarding the repetitive teaching. its not wrong to send them to such classes if within ur means n time, by all means. n its good that G enjoys them.

maybe it only me, who finds the lessons boring n not justifiable for the fees they charge
crazy.gif
. so i personally would rather expose M to the playgroup.

during my recent GUG trial (with mambo), i notice 2 children didnt seem interested in the lessons at all. they didnt even seem to care what the teachers were demonstrating etc. Maybe its nt intersting enough for them cos every week is the same old thing??

Gelyn, for Sengkang i heard Faith Educare is nt bad, there is one newly opened at Buangkok Kopitiam hub. Another one is in rivervale or compassvale, cant remember.

MY son is with treasurebox - Parry Ave (serangoon) they hv schoolbus service to n fro SK. U may wan to take alook there. Jaydynbb is also considering putting J there.

Tinkabel: Matt is so funny with the stunt, esp with the cutie pants on.

Shld be able to apply half day leave to go high-tea in Apr. Let's arrange again nearing the date.

Poissons: My MIL always give E Ba Bao San whenever she sees him on the verge of fall ill. Think it helps. G will be alright, dun worry.
And oh, i saw the photos u uploaded in FB, both G & A are so cute kissing. Can send the photos for competition. Hiak hiak...

Rachel: Hey, u only put on 7kg in yr 32nd week? Wow...

Cactusnah,
My mum also gives BBS, she feed like it's free supply from EYS..haha, very shiong on my pockets :p Haha..yah, the pics on kissing very cute hor, hope next time if A sees it, will not hate G...haha.

How are you btw?

MissA,
i rem u asking when our todds start to learn/distinguish colours.. so one day i sort her coloured balls in pairs into 4 different containers. During gogo playdate, i let her play with the sugar satchets @ Jones, and she actually start to categorize and in particular pick out the red satchets and put into the container. So u may wanna try activities like that at home.

Tinkabel,
I shld be able to meet up for tea or something when u r back if its on a Tue ~ Thur. I am not sure abt Ellenborough's lunch spread, but if u still hv craving then, we can try that out. Else there shld be many places with gd value set lunches on a wkday.

Thanks MM, I will go and have a look at Faith Educare and since Treasurebox have school bus service, I think its good for me too. Both that recommend is full day one right?

Talent Plus sounds good but too bad its not full day.

Cactusnah, hope everything is going well for you. Take care ya!

Hee...nah, A wont hate G, dun worry
happy.gif

Poissons & Gelyn: I'm "good", at least better aft i confirmed the fact. Sorry a bit gross here, but i passed out the tissues over the wkend. Went to the gynae (recommended by my boss) who is a lot more patient and attentive yesterday, did a scan and he said the sac is out and shld be ok. My uterus wall is thinning and uterus contracted too and hope all will be bk to normal when i see him again in 4 wks time. Was so scared and worried that i may need to go thru D&C.But he did ask me to monitor for any fever and to go bk to him immediate shld i develop any fever coz he's afraid of infection if there's still tissue.

So, i'm good again. Will "rape" my HB again after doc gimme the green light. Hiak hiak hiak...:p
