Another alternative is to let Cailyn drink honey. It will help in letting her poo. Actually, i will freak out if ask me to insert the bullet myself into Claire's anus!

bintan club med. yes i do recommend..but if u want to say what the babies can do there...
- swimming in pool
- play with sand at beach
- run around the area...haahaa

thats about it. its because they are under 2 yrs old.. so they cannot join petit club med where there will be alot of activities.. like drawing, storytelling, sand play, water play... etc.

but food wise, its no problem at all. they have a special fridge for all baby food, but its always the same 2 flavours. however u can ask the kitchen to cook whatever u want for the baby. i didnt ask kitchen to cook. i took wat ever on the buffet station and give it to her.. like noodles, pasta , rice, potato, etc etc... she loves it.. and she will eat lots of fruits everyday,, each meal. she loves dragonfruit.
overall, i say yes to go -- 3 to 4 days should be enuff... i had 5 days cos mine is a promo.

for the adults, can do canoeing, sailing, burn on the beach/pool, tennis, yoga, gym, pingpong, archery. every nite there is a peformance session.
best of all, there is a doc in house 24 hours..haahaa i tried it also. ash high fever...but go see doc ok liao. haiz...

k@ye: I have inserted few times to her liao.. so its like 'easy job' to me liao.. haha.. moreover she doesnt feel anything when I did the inserting..

So i can just cook the dried winter melon on water for her to drink. Will try that first before proceed to michviv's method.

I bought the Childlife Colostrum Powder from langlao that is to reduce her from constipation but yet to receive yet.. so at the mean time need to use other method to tahan first.

Any brand/type of dried winter melon will do right?

What kind of honey is suitable for the bb too? Any brand to recommend?

Mambobb:last week hayley's stools was hard too......hv to use some soap and shaft in inside her anus.....no choice if not....the next mrning they came out well hehehheheh but i think she "kiek" till alittle bleeding inside this time,3 drops when we shower her after her poop

barley does help and the probatics.....did u buy??????

Mambobb: You can buy it over the counter from any pharmacy. You don't need a prescription. =)

As for all the methods that involve something sweet, they are using the same principle as the enema by increasing the osmolarity (or salt/sugar) content of the stool thereby drawing water in by diffusion and softening the stool so its easier to pass out. Its similar to the enema or suppository except that those exert a "local" action in the anus and the rest are ingested and the excess undigested sugars move through the gut to produce a similar action. May cause a little gas though. Just thought you might want to know...=)

If Cailyn hasn't pooed for 2-3 days, can try using the suppository/enema and then bulk up her diet with fiber rich food to prevent future episodes. Hope this helps!

me coping ok. Confinement is ok as i still go out once a while. Didnt follow confinement rules like the last time. Which is why i feel 'more comfortable'..

my sister bot the bullet type of enema from Fu Hua medical. As we started using it on her son before he turns one, we used only half the content. can apply cream, such as drapolene, at he anus before inserting the enema to relieve the pain. do it fast so that it wont be tramautising for her. dont carry her upright immed so that the liquid wont flow out before taking effect.
 
michviv: thanks for all the info.. i think i have the liquid form one from the PD previously. Take 12hrs interval and needs to feed them alot of water. I think I need to give her that tonight if she still doesnt poo today.

I have mentioned to my nanny to feed her fruits everyday liao.. i think today I need to repeat myself to her again. sigh..

I have bought banana for her. hopefully she eat some tonight.

mambobb, i mix 1/2 teaspoon of colostrum powder into FM. Instructions clearly stated on the bottle.

I tried a few methods to feed the CLO most successful when I mix with SAMBUCUS (elderberry, echinacae and propolis) berry flavoured and add a little water and feed with spoon.

anyone's baby using Munchkin waterbottle? I just bought the spongebob one and found that it's VERY HARD to suck water out of it! Anyone faces this problem?

gloomybear, ya i hv the bottle too..HATE IT, cos suppose to be spillproof. so guess that is the cons of it. still stick to the non-spill proof type in the end

water bottle: Just bought from kiddy palace today...sigh... $13.90 wasted. I have a hard time drinking from it also.
My mum bought a crawling/crying baby for baby A as well. $13.90 also. Baby A loves it... but after awhile, the baby toy stop crying... spoil liao.. only can crawl. China-made. DUH. Another $13.90 wasted.

Gloomybear: Oh, i almost wanted to get the water bottle for my nephew last weekend. Hmmm...then remove the cover and dun use the straw. Use the bottle and put in yr own straw, else really wasted.

Poissons: G so well behave. I wanna bring E to Genting/malacca, but think we will need quite a few pit stop coz E will make noise after too long.
 
i have the munchkin water bottle (wo straw), it has a beak. I remove the stopper under the cover so everytime I bring out have to let it stand upright else all the water spill out. Are we referring to this same water bottle?

This morn, my mum called and told me abt Claire cried while pooing coz her poo too hard. My parents used the ear digger to try to dig out the poo.... My heart really pain when i heard her cry over the phone!

MissA & Plim, dun ask me how my Mum do that! I can only say my Mum is creative and it works!

But once she does that, Claire managed to poo the rest out.... just now, my Mum called and told me that Claire poo 2-3 times again... Faints!

Weishy, Claire very pattern one... Even not constipated, she will like to poo 2-3 times bit by bit instead of 1 time finished one...

My Mum even wants to use toothpick... I know its gross, my Mum told me that the poo was like stuck at the anus there... So she use the ear digger to get them out...

I dunno abt the hungry part coz she is forever a glutton one lor... Anyway, got blasted by my Mum for bringing her out etc etc
 
k@ye: I agree with Weishy that its dangerous to use the ear digger since its made of metal and worse still a toothpick! The last thing you want is to perforate the colon and cause an infection. Those can be very serious since the bacteria from the poo can get into the blood stream. What more, sometimes babies move unexpectedly and can cause a puncture.

But to be fair, Claire's constipation sounds quite bad leh. May need to feed her brown rice porridge from now on? plus have 1 serving of fruits only? If not, can consider the suppository or enema that Mambobb used for Cailyn. If all else fails, you may need to see a doctor for manual evacuation. I know doctors don't use tools to dig out but gloved hands instead. =P
 
missA, mine's the one with the straw. Baby A just learnt how to drink from straw, so thought i buy a bigger bottle for her. Ya, maybe I should just put my own straw like what cactusnah suggested. This non-spill design has a valve in the straw, and no pin-hole opening. So it's practicalling sucking in a vacuum, via a valve! It did states that it's for 2yrs+ toddler.

mummies with constipated babies, do you feed your babies yoghurt everyday? i tihnk it helps.
 
Michviv, the ear digger is wooden one. Sigh, partly my fault also lah... Din feed her fruits during the weekend and let her eat spinach coz spinach got high level of iron... Iron => heaty => leads to constipation!
 
k@ye: me use the cotton bud to dig cailyn's poo out but cannot.. cause its too hard to dig it out.. so she will cry and cry lor..

yest I asked the nanny abt her poo.. she only poo 3 times and 1 small round poo each time.. so I can foresee she will have a hard time to get all the poo out.. and I have fed her small amt of banana yest liao.. hopefully it works abit today lor.. if not I need to feed her the liquid medication to soften her poo liao..

oh ya, asked the nanny on the fruits, she said the fruits not nice.. so didnt buy.. sigh..

mambobb: The microlax (enema) is for insertion into the anus and not for eating. You only insert half of the applicator in the anus and squeeze the entire contents in and wait for bowel movement. Dun let Cailyn get up too fast or else it will all leak out.

Dun be sad...you may need to buy the fruits for your nanny instead of counting on her to buy.

michviv: the liquid medication was provided by the PD when I brought her to see her last month.. ya, I agree on the fruits part.. I think I need to buy the banana, apple and payaya on her behalf liao.. lucky this and nxt week, alot of PH, I can take care of her myself..

Dun be too worried k? I'm sure you will be able to get through this phase.
 
Poissons: I usually buy from Okaidi, Fox, Gap, Polo Ralph(My friend in USA) and lotsa hand me down from my nephew who is 6 months older than E. I have yet to shop for his CNY clothes too. Anything nice from Fox? Gotta start shopping soon. Let me know if u find nice clothes, ya.:)

Thanks for the info. Where can I find Okaidi? I find Gap too exp leh. Fox sales ok lah, i managed to get 3 tees for G...yah, tees again..his drawers are all bursting with tonnes of clothes. Haha..juz like mummy's!

Poissons: Okaidi & Obadi is at Raffles City Shopping Mall. They have outlets in KL too. U din use the $20 voucher given out during the Baby's Day Out at Hort Park? I have 2 vouchers and i used the voucher to buy E a jeans & a sweater. Very worth it.

T-shirt. Dunno why i find the Fox t-shirt quality not too gd lei. After a few wash, the collar always "jiao jiao". And we handwash all his clothes, still it happens. I prefer to buy shirt for him:)
 
cactus, I rem the voucher. U know they din state whr the shop is located, they thought they very well known. lol. Anyway I also din use the voucher, must be expired by now.
