(2007/11) November MTBs

michviv, me too i always tot SAHMs are very 'weida'! at least for me, i cannot tahan facing kiddos 24/7. once a while like weekends still ok. when my parents went for their holidays mid of this yr, i had to take care of my 2 kids for a good 10days. The very next day aft they came bk to Spore, i quickly plonk my kids there and left! wahahhaa....

i really think that SAHM is not a 'job' for anybody...but to stay in touch with the world is important, like coming to this forum cos we hv a good mix of SAHM + FTWM + WAHM like me!

Michviv, housewife is just not for me... Haha. Thought of doing that but now holidays, just 2months with him and I already thinking back of gg back to work! too tiring to face him all day, all week, all month, all year long. Gets very frustrating Haha!

I also same sentiments as you. But I'm still thinking if I shld be SAHM wen she is older ie. 2yrs or older or wen I have a 2nd one... but scared later wan to come back work no job for me :p I actually enjoy being wif her at night and weekends but the other part is the lack of me time.

told my hubby if he goes football after come back sure his "friends" will be more energised!!!!so maybe can swim better upwards kakkakakkakak......so far he too tired after games......poor me.

Me down with a major flu and i m still at work.. Sigh.. Going home soon, the doc ordered me to rest at home...

Poochi ah, be optimistic like me lah.. I also think its more economical to be a SAHM if 1 hv 2 children. Work wise, can always find one... Dun worry!

me not FT SAHM, ha, at most 70%? I still hv dedicated in laws whom help me out on some wkdays, like i am "dropping" ZY at their place so can sneak out to do own things, shopping, etc! Hubby still help me with moset housework, so i'm not complaining too much! =P

now that u mention, ZY also eyes big big when she first arrived, hubby still ask me eyes not supposed to be closed one meh? (as tho i will know!) And in split seconds, she wail out aloud, so mouth big big and eyes close liao lor..

Cindy: I used to be like you. I couldn't wait to go back to work after my maternity leave. I was even clearing my email from home and on teleconference during maternity leave! haha. Think mainly becos I didn't see direct returns for my efforts but thats so different now cos Ethan can learn so fast and I'm so moved when he remembers things I taught him.

I used to be VERY career minded becos I feel strongly that a woman needs her financial independence but the factor of time just hit me that if I don't spend time with him now, it will be over and there is no going back! Poochi, I too really enjoying being with him after work and the weekends. So I may seriously consider working part time when I deliver my number 2.

k@ye: Aiyo...go home and rest la. Its not worth it!
 
Poissons: for the sterilizer, it depends on which hotel you go to. When I went to Thailand, Banyan tree had a sterilizer in the room and I didn;t even need to ask for it! Think Fairmount also provided when I stayed there. No harm asking la. =)

Weishy: Babies eyes are usually swollen after staying so long in amniotic fluid so the faster the swelling subside and they open their eyes the better. But at that young age, they can't see anything even if they open eyes thats why they go by smell so sense their mummy.

aiyoh, new nick, very the long leh.. TT yr head! Even if so, its HDB TT only, haha. I cant multi task nowadays, not much energy left after taking care of the little mischievious at home. Think i shld be the one taking more vit!

these few days i teach mischa to say 'pretty pretty'whenever i put on hair clip for her. hahaha..now she will nt reject and will wait patiently while i put it on for her then i bring her to the mirror, she will go " pee-ty pee-ty'..hehehe...

Poissons, let me console u..hahaha....i repeat myself..BOYS are very very slow....dun compare to girls of the same age...and i tell u yr end kids especially boys always at the losing end. they tend to be seen as 'slower' than peers...i know cos my son is born Oct. can see the diff betwn him and mischa's development base in the same age. I always tell myself, they will pick it up, jus a matter of sooner or later. btw my son started to really speak properly only at 2.5yrs old...now i cant make him stop talking!

poissons:ya man i always hv to amek sure i hv 2 or 3 cos if one break daown i still hv the other....so far all hotels hv but usually rented out pretty fast :p so many things hv to charge,hp/laptop etc......
HEY!!!!!hotel kettle super dirty one pls try not to use!!!!!!i know la and trust me on that really!!!!!

once my crew chk into the room wanted to boil water and found panties inside the kettle!!!!!!!!!!so use ur slow cooker to boil the water but will be super slow,or ask housekeeper to bring one pot of water just tell them fro making of milk(ADVISABLE to bring ur thermal flask~store ur hot water)

ohhhhh and aussie tap water may not be portable too,last time in sdy hv case,cannto even use to wash face!!!!!!

Grace/lazykat:har the ferry ride is choppy????dun like rather prefer trubulence kakkakakkaka.

Hi mummies

Hope you like the desserts on Saturday. So sorry cannot make it to the party. My gal is down with Broncolities again. Was so worried that she will need to be admitted to the hospital again. Doctor says she got weak lungs and sensitive airways. Really hope to beef her up, afraid she'll be asthmatic in the future

lazykat: Wah! Good life man! I don't think my parents or in-law can tahan Ethan for 1 night. Haha...Its always a nice surprise when they say a word or 2. My hubby always goes into Ethan's room first cos his clothes are there and tells him "Eh? Wake Up already ah?" then, last week, Ethan was stretching in his cot when hubby walked in and Ethan said "Wake up". haha.

Poochi: I agree! Then we can go en masse to those weekday playgroups instead of queueing with all the rest of the mummies and babies. See first la. If my hubby's business does well, then see if I can persuade him to let me convert to part-time. =P

Wow…seem like everyone were enjoying the party. I will try to make it next time. So far, I have seem a few mummies before only. My hubby always have activity on sat…

Starz: I bring my son for the swim around 9+am cos he normally wake up about 7+ to 8am. So just nice for morning swim. I know some kids can wear nepia at night but mine is a No no…sure leak like nobody business. So I sure use Pamper Active for the night.

Kittybride: saw that you mentioned can closed shop liao. Congrats ya!

Pig: Congrats! Baby Kicia so adorable! Its made me think of my son when newborn.

Langlao: I want to order the vitamin too. Later i will update in your list. :)

glad that u like the gift. They dont carry it here, i bought it from US. I bought 10 of those back Hehee.. i thought that they r perfect for walking toddlers at crowded places, as we need to keep them near us. even if u dont wana use the harness it can be used as a cute backpack for the kids.

poochi -- me -- not so fortunate! cannot drop kaira off to anyone to help look after for a few hours so its like 24x7 looking after her.. honestly .... it does get on my nerves sometimes... especially when she's in a cranky mood! (like recently .... she ALWAYS cry before she sleeps....very sianzzzzz....)

i also don't know how i manage, but i think u will somehow manage when u don't have a choice!

u know what i mean? juz have to take deep breaths sometimes and continue smiling at our DDs ...hehehe.

actually, its much more enjoyable now with them i feel. like now, even though cold, i still bundle her up and we often go for walks @ the park and she loves looking at the animals @ the mini zoo and birds flying around the pond etc etc... then she will laugh very loudly ..... very cute one. i enjoy those times very much.... i love to see her enjoy herself.

so for me , its a matter of "learning" to enjoy the moments with her and those "difficult" moments (which thank God isn't that often!), pray for strength and wisdom to get through....

but i do miss my "me time" very much. i have 0 me time.
