You're not alone. Throughout my son's party, I hardly had the chance to carry him too..he was mostly hogged by my MIL or my Dad...haha..but I dun mind lah, cos' I can mingle with my frens.

i hv been giving small portions of egg yolk since 8 mths and egg white only recently, but must be thoroughly cooked. For cow's milk, actually i had been using that to mix with her oat cereals (but its been boiled) - guess u gotta try it slowly.

glad Eagan's cool rock party went off well too! On hindsight i shld hv stuck with Neo garden cos i last minute switch caterer, portion so small and not as nice as last yr when we ordered! Guests hv to wait for BBQ food to be cooked.. so paiseh! Luckily the afternoon tea one went w/o a hitch!

wah, your experience sounds pretty much like mine, except that my gal was such a cry baby on that day it was such a spoiler!
yup, agreed that the food from ecreative was not really nice - even got comment from frenz about some items not properly cooked... the pineapple rice got egg shell in them (but only one guest had that 'honour' of eating them, thus her complaint!) and the curry chicken came w/out potatoes, just curry & chicken, and some chicken were not fully cooked (obviously they used frozen chicken lor).
as for my nanny, well... she also took over carrying my gal coz we were entertaining frenz which was ok but she went ahead to feed her cake, etc... even when i told her DUN FEED HER but she still insist is OK, and even feed another spoonful of cake to my gal! grrrllll... was so pissed i carried my gal away from her!!
as for photo taking, not very good either coz of my gal's crying, end up we didn't have really nice photos lor. and my hb super gan cheong, even before we had our family photo in front of the cake, he oredi went ahead to CUT them when i was carrying my gal elsewhere.... ahhh,.. MEN!!!
anyway, since it is over oredi, no point crying over it lor... so next year, it will definitely be a small affair! but a good experience indeed lah!

There was no book lice found in the products. Details of the affected products are described below.
Outer shipping cartons used to pack the affected products were identified by the company as the possible source of the book lice.
Consumers need not to be alarmed by the recall as there is no indication that the products have been contaminated. AVA has also not received any complaints of this nature.

Hi Mummies,
seems like many of us celebrated our darlings bday over the last weekend. Kiros had his on Saturday too. To prevent him form crying when singing birthday songs with unfamiliar faces around him, we rehearsed the song with him so many times prior to the event. Fortunately he was clapping his hands and smiling so happily when everyone clapped hands and sang.
Me also waiting for the photos to be ready. Fortunately had gotten someone to take pics for us else i tink will be too busy to really take pics on the day.

quite a few BD celebration last weekend! Another 2 weeks& all our babies will be 1
k@ye, just to share my Eatzi catering experience. Most guests were impressed with the spread and I have a lot of left overs tho I under catered. I actually ordered extra 50 pax of canapes. Fr their website, the canapes shd be on french toast & on that day they put it on ritz biscuits and the biscuits got damp and it became hard to take canapes so most guests left them untouched
The toppings of the canapes also not what I ordered. The meat were good but the veg so- so, the fresh green salad was brown stale salad. Anyway I feedback & was supposed to get a call back last week, still waiting....

any babies transitioning to take 1 nap now?
i tink kaira is kinda of adjusting herself to do that now...for a few days she's been waking up later in the morning (but sometimes still need to feed her ard 6+, 7am), then taking only 1 long nap in the afternoon.
now muz crack head to keep her entertained for longer periods of time! cos she can one stretch 4-5 hours dun need nap...

i started L on fresh cow's milk when he turned 1. I use it for the museli n oats for breakfast n for the pasta sauce. I am still trying to wean him off my breast so he takes that as a drink too. he totally rejects FM so im glad that he is ok with fresh milk. im giving him Farmhouse fresh milk.

L is taking 1 nap now, from 1230-230pm. except on fridays he will nap from 1130-12pm (cos he's in the car, on the way to class) then 3-4pm.

dreamer, ashlee still takes more than 1 nap a day. This morning she nap for abt 45 mins then in the afternoon took a super long nap from abt 2plus to 6plus! Sje just fell asleep mins ago.

i tink u should call the school and check. i actually dont know 1 term how many classes cos i missed 2 classes. i paid $150 so i should get 6 classes.... better call and check abt the HKG trip. as per all bookings for classes, it depends on management if they are flexible. so are not, so miss class means deduct money.

i've been giving all kinds of stuff to eliza to eat, especially when we eat out, but i choose what's ok. she tried egg, ie those steamed egg, chawanmushi etc. no reactions. somehow she is losing interest in her meals and always very gian3 with ours, will yell at us to give her to eat. i tried giving her bfast but she doesn't like oats or museli...dunno how to intro bfast to her..

skye skye, no worries. I used ecreative's catering for Mischa's party. I actually under-catered but the food was enough. IMO the food is ok. I didnt experience anything unpleasant. Jus sharing my experience with you.
Hi mummies, this is Isaac's cake from ai mummy and the chocolate taste very nice as well.
I celebrated his birthay on Sun but today is his actual day.
As for catering I used Chilli Padi, I think their standard has dropped. As the guests complained thirsty after eating the food.

I'm also in the midst of adjusting J's naps. Trying to let him nap 30 mins in the morning and 1.5 to 2 hrs in the noon.
My mum tends to let him nap at 3pm, which I always argue is too late. I will try to set him in the routine this week. Crossing my fingers.

Thank you all. I like the banner too. Ya, it's custom made by my brother-in-law. It's made of cardboard, so cannot bend and keep. It's now in his room, ha ha...told my HB we can re-use it every year. Just "cut" the face and replace new photo. Mine not consider grand, my niece having her party next month and it's gonna be Strawberry shortcake theme. My brother-in-law wanna do strawberry shortcake standee with a lobang in the face so the kids can take pic. Lagi busy then.
The goodie bag ah, ya i spent alot of time and effort. Yes, the kids love the sunglasses and wand. Actually have other ideas but cldnt find the material, so thot of the little carrier. Grace: Very disappointed with the photos leh. Cant write it in my blog else my HB's friend will see. Many of the photos din turn out the way we expected coz halfway through the party, my HB handed his camera to his friend to help take pic. Guess the cammy is new to him, the photos turned out blur. Sob....just hoping the rest taken by his friends will turn out well.

Jaydyn takes 2naps a day. She usually wakes up ard 8-9am. Takes a nap ard 12ish for abt 1h then another nap ard 430pm. She usually goes to bed ard 10pm. Very late hor.

Do you mummies still use slow cooker to cook porridge? Other than porridge, any other kinda food u serve yr baby? I think I'm not very adventurous in food. Hvnt let Jaydyn eat eggs, tofu, etc. Can I also find out what kinda breakfast do u serve yr baby? Can we toast bread for them? When some of u mummies mentioned abt muesli and oats, what type are u referring to? Cos I dunno wat to get for jaydyn. Wanna let her try. TQ!

k@ye: Isaac loves red, so he likes Elmo. I bought an Elmo hand puppet with 2 big eyes popping up. He will kiss Elmo and will laugh when Elmo moves.
if Claire likes Elmo, think John little is selling an Elmo toy when tickle when laugh and roll over. I saw my friend having it quite cute. I tot of getting one for Isaac. Check it up to see Claire likes it.

I have been giving Hazel breakfast since she turn 8mths. I use organic instant rolled oats- cow brand has this. I grind the oats first so its easier to eat. Jus add warm milk and fruits like banana/strawberry etc.. I also give her yoghurt.
I have started giving her eggs wif bread. I mash the eggs and mix a little milk and add in bread so dat its not dry. My gal loves bread. So I give her bread and non-sweet jam too! So theres alot of variation u can do.

k@ye, hugzzzz .... dun be too hard on yourself! guess when our babies have more social interaction, they will be exposed to more germs/bacteria. hope claire gets well soon!!

oh as for wat activites to do wif bb.. I also find it challenging. I read to her, let her play in her own play area, bring her out for a walk. I guess weather is getting cold at ur end so cant bring her out too often rt? If all else fails Show her cartoons/kids vcd? My gal likes elmo world and commercials ha ha ha
