(2007/11) November MTBs

kittybride:
U must be very heart pain.
sad.gif
Think better monitor yr tod to ensure everything is ok e.g. no fever and not active and etc.

mambobb, I usually get my HT cereal fr NTUC. Didnt try barley, but gave her the mix grain cereal it contains barley, oats and rice. I find that its smells nice.

kitty, oh my "bua du ku"! Could be she slipped from crawling and bang her head on floor, cos hazel also knocked her head wen she trying to adjust herself but no "bua du ku". Well i would bemad too but we ourselves also make mistakes hopefully this is the first and last fr ur nanny.

lazykat,
Weekdays depends, I can always take off.

cough, phelgm etc..
my gal had it the worst cos she was diagnose wif bronchitis. She was given ventolin via nebuliser cos that works fastest - goes direct to lungs. Now I'm very phobic to hear her cough or see abit of runny nose!

hi mummies,

long time no chat, was really busy, cannot imagine life can be so busy with all the small, trival matters everyday, so busy that look forward to the night time when bb finally asleep. SAHM life is worse than working mum life, in fact, no life at all. only consolation is to see my boy grows everyday.

sent my maid packing 1 weeks plus ago, she was really happy to go home, all the signs showed that she got no motivation to work anymore.

My hanns also got cough and fever from my nephew, now taking antibiotic :-(

now walking and running all the time, so lots of accidents, knock his head lah, fell and cut his lips etc...no way to prevent leh even though i kept following him around until i get dizzy.

just tested positive for pregnancy, got spotting for 2 days, this week hope to be able to scan for bb heartbeat, really tired, headache, giddy and bloated, so still hanging on there, after all the maids troubles, decided not to have maid and get part timer, hopefully can work out, hubby got to come home early to bath and help out on Hanns else I really cannot handle.

start renovation on new house, my life is really tough, every time I renovate house, I sure pregnant and everytime pregnant sure needs to move house, the last time with Hanns too.

I gave myself another 5-8 years before I can finally settle down to part of my old life ( hopefully lah)

Here comes Hanns, need to go liao, catch up with you all, bye

Happy: thanks for sharing all your difficulties. Makes us working mummies now take things for granted and cherish the fact that we can enjoy the best of both worlds. Most importantly, congrats on your pregnancy!

Injuries: Every child is bound to have his/her share of bumps and falls. Me & hubby are keeping score of the number of times Ethan gets an accident under that person's watch. =P

Kittybride: Aiyo! My hubby left the NTUC bonus stamp envelope on his desk and never post it! So paiseh...Hope you managed to redeem your plates in the end.

Chloe is so funny la. Why does she still want to crawl when she can walk. haha. So cute!

happy, be happy ok? congrats on #2.

kitty, how's chloe, hopefully not in shock.

Kitty: Hope Chloe is ok. U dun get too angry, bb inside lei.

Happy: Congrats on #2. Take care!

langlao - Yes i want to buy too, just login only... I will PM you shortly. Hope you are feeling better today!

Happy - CONGRATULATIONS!! Take care!!

Dreamer - It's ok if you want to bring your toddler along to the high tea. I may bring Ash along too
happy.gif

Mummies - When do you plan to bring your toddler to the dentist for their first check-up? I read on the magazine that it is good to do so as soon as they have their first few teeth. They will not be afraid of the dentist chair if we start them from young? Any comments?

Sharron, no idea also.. Mabbe u can check with ur usual dentist?

For me, i dun intend to bring Claire to the dentist yet coz i dun want to give myself a hard time... But i think got those dentist for kids one... Saw one such clinic at Paragon.

K@ye - Ok thanks. I saw one in Forum but just not sure when is a good time to bring him there? If pain then bring i guess the experience will be worse....that why i am asking for opinions..hee hee...
happy.gif
Hows Claire feeling? Better?

sharron, your order noted. I've not thought about bringing A to dentist yet. Bringing her to the doctor is already a nightmare.

mummies who TT to me, I cant check till I find my docket
sad.gif
Maybe I shd just go to the bank and reapply for one.

kitty, i prob can meet u tmr cos today i hv to rush to fetch A & also dunno if can tahan till evening cos not 100% well.

Sharron, Claire is better but super "teh" and sticky.... Still hear her coughing and breathing like Darth Vader at night!

Haha, i agree with Langlao... Bringing our little ones to the doctor is already a nightmare... Can't imagine bringing them to the dentist. Perhaps, i might ask my dentist when i see him this Sat.

langlao,
take care & rest well. for the toilet seats, i think it's best u install those toilet child lock for safety reason. Ashlee is so mobile, accidents are prone to happen. dun be too hard on urself. for me, we have trained Jovan not to enter the kitchen at all. he still "test water" sometimes by putting one leg or one hand on the kitchen floor, but we will scold him for doing tat.

HAppy,
possible to get a relative to help u thru ur 1st trimester? esp so since Hanns is mobile already. r u having any morning sickness? congrats and take care there.

Catherine: I think Jovan and Ethan can hi-five. I am very strict with him when it comes to the Kitchen. Still that doesn't stop him from pointing his toe on the kitchen floor and giving me a "see? What are going to do about it?" look. Makes me kinda dread the "terrible two" phase.

Ethan is naturally apprehensive of the toilet as it has a different floor texture. (much colder to the touch) so he stands on the wood flooring and watches whenever we go to the bathroom.

Any mummies have started potty training yet? Thinking of starting but many books do not encourage starting till they can tell you that they want to go to toilet.

Michviv, i started letting Claire to use the potty to pass motion or pee when she was 1 mths old... Does that count as potty training? Hahah...

Now, whenever we see her want to poo, we will immediately put her on the potty.... Or after her nap, we will put her on the potty to pee. Think my Mum is better at catching her poo or pee on the potty than us!

And i will tell Claire that if she wants to poo or pee.. must tell us using the "eh eh" or "pee pee" sound... So far, when she wans to poo, she will make the "eh eh" sound... "Pee pee" sound too hard for her to pronounce!

Potty Train:
Any recommendations on the potty? Me thinking of getting one for my girl too.. I remember sally was organising the BP before..

Anyone keen for a play date this sat?
haahaa, my hubb is working and i want to bring her out but shopping seems to be out as its too crowded....

Rachel, not smart lah... We just conditioned her but hor, she will "eh eh" in her diapers at times too!

Mambobb, i think S@l mentioned got supplier problem... so the BP was not on... But, still can ask her to try again! Haha!

Grace, i want leh but i gotta work!
sad.gif

Haha...Catherine. =) I agree with you!

I was reading that girls are much easier to potty train compared to boys as they have control over their bladder at an earlier age of 12 - 18 months vs. boys who can only start at 18 months onwards the earliest. For poo poo, I think its the same story but its supposed to be easier to train than peeing.

I may consider buying a potty once he is able to tell me he wants to poop. But still cannot leh, but we can tell if he starts making some sounds like eh-eh but by that time, its already too late. =P

catherine:my hayley only took powder form herbs( jing feng san) and she's cool with it.....those drinking onw hummmmmmm dun think she;ll like it too.can add into food or juice ma.
to me TCm works faster effect on me :p

happy:ccongrats!!!!!!!!me trying also havent get hehhehehheh(too tired n lazy liao :p

tinkabel:eek:hhhhhhhh the last time i went out hv SALE looooooo
tats last week though.

Grace, not really... I worked half day but got housewarming and family dinner later in the day.... If not, you and Ashlyn can come to my place to play!!!

Michviv, we all more like conditioned Claire to get used to sitting on the potty... Sometimes, she will protest and prefer to poo in her diapers~! Claire's potty was bought in HK!! Haha, very cheap only HKD20 i think!

potty training ;my style like K@ye looooo,we usually can tell when she wanna poop and bring her to the toilet bowl(with children seat cushion) so now she's used to it looooo
sometimes we want her to poop.....we let her sit there read her book and she wil.

potty training - my gal if i put her on the potty , she sit a few seconds then want to stand up liao. even if she wanted to poo, she will not poo...
sad.gif
i dunno how to train her leh ...

and hor pacifier - aiyo, think she addicted to it! cannot sleep without it. and abt half hour before sleeping time at nite, she sure "ee ee eh eh " looking for it
sad.gif
i not looking forward to the day to wean it off.

Dreamer ah, we all very evil one leh... Sometimes Claire will wail big time when we put her on the potty... We forcefully let her sit there for 10 mins max to poo!

Pacifier wise, my Mum's method for the hardcore suckers is she will cut the pacifier bit by bit till they cant suck it or suck till frustrated then will give up the pacifier automatically.

Weishy, dun let Hayley read book on the toilet seat. Bad habit even though i also got this habit if i need to do big biz... :p

kaye,
why read book when do big biz is bad habit? i also got this habit leh...if dun have reading materials, i will juz grab any toiletries and read the labels..haha..

happy,
congrats & do take care ya, dun get upset, everything will be fine!

michviv,
no worries abt the NTUC bonus points lah, i managed to redeem more than enuf rice/soup bowls liao! :D

as for C learning to crawl, also not sure lah, coz now finally she can go on all FOURS instead of front TWO and then belly on the floor! ahahaha... but good also la, at least she go thru all the milestones, even if is they are not in sequence! :D

mambobb, cactus, langlao3,
thks for your concern.
i brought her home last nite and she was rather quiet and thot i felt a bit of higher temperature on her forehead. she also kept wanting to be carried and doesn't even wana walk/cruise by herself.
when i went to open the door for the deliery guy and left her on the floor, she wailed super loud till the delivery guy was a little take aback and ask me to carry her and he can wait. so paiseh!

anyway, dis mrng she's ok liao; woke up smiling and KICKING (as usual). and he bruise is less prominent oredi. thank goodness!!!

re: potty training
weishy, ur training so good ah, u make H sounds like adult leh, sit/poo while reading. :D

i let C tried once last wk n she cried!
she usually poo standing up
sad.gif
so thk go a bit of prob getting her to sit down. sigh...
other times is when she poo halfway, we will bring her to the bed and let her lie n poo; esp if her poo is super hard and she will take a long time trying to push (while crying/wailing, as usual).

will hv to try every wkend wif her - hopefully she gets the idea!
happy.gif

re: weaning off pacifier
this is a tough one... she can't sleep w/out it. woke up in the middle of the nite lookg for it (if not, will make a big fuss) and we equally guilty to stuff it to her when she is getting to vocal/loud in public places!
will let her wean it off herself, hopefully before she turns 3!

potty train:heee cos i tot just to let her get used to it :p
reading ar....e also like K@ye and poissons le :p
its oki to read la i hvt o talk somemore....well to who?andrew and my helper lor kekkekekkeke.me not paiseh one :p

pacifier:good idea e aunty(K@ye) never tot of that but i used 3 days looooo she;s oki with it le.....still young tat time.......like kaira now.......so used to it liao how to quit......hv to be more "heng xin " loooooo dreamer

finally had the energy to log on!

Congrats to Happy!

Langlao,
i hv heard a lot abt the BBS and Hou Ning San but not sure what to get and exactly for wat purpose leh.. later i go down to EYS and ask abt. Got a deadline? I will TT in a shortwhile on the vitacost.

Potty:
actually i was also thinking abt it, tho i can tell when she has pooped (cos she will gek a face) but its often too late to bring her the potty. Now the potty becomes a toy for her!

I hv the bigger task in weaning her off her thumb - associated with sleeping! At least when i am cuddling her, she will guai guai follow my instructions, but come at night when she is awake, I can still hear the "zuk zuk" sound away.. sigh

Hi mummies,
Finally L is back on his routine! He takes fresh milk in the morning n FM in the evening. Managed to get him to drink FM. He takes it via a cup. My breasts have shrunk back to their original size too n no longer engorged!

Great for u ueno,
does L still manage to sleep thru the nite? My little rascal now keeps squeezing into our bed.. going crazy every nite.

lazykat,
Yup he sleeps through the night now but the last 3 mths he didnt! It was a long phase for us. he kept waking up in the middle of the night crying n hungry and that lasted for 3 mths! Initially when i weaned him off i was worried that he will wake up in the middle of the night for milk but Thank God! he didnt. These days he will drink his milk then brush his teeth then i just pop him inside his bed n he will go to sleep on his own. Phew...

ueno,
i dun think i can last 3 full mths! Gotta keep trying to get her sleep on her cot again.. usually i will rock her a bit before popping her onto her cot, but nowadays she started to resist so violently that i hv to relent puttin her on our bed..

Happy:: CONgratulations! Happy to hear that!
happy.gif

ueno:: COngrats too for successfully weaning him off. I've always been telling my hubby how good a boy leroy is. Drinking from a cup! oh my. I wonder when I can get my T to do that. hahah.

lazykat:: HAHAHA!! well well. Travis also sleeps with us lohs. Sian. He has been sleeping in between us for like 2months liao! Waiting for him to grow out of this phase himself. MIL says he's trying to get our attention cause his sister is coming, he needs comfort. Sigh. Usually we will give him milk (still in a bottle) on our bed then he will fall asleep after finishing and flipping and turning. We used to transfer him back to his cot when he's dead asleep but he will GET Up many times in the night and point at us, and will only settle when he sleeps on our bed. SO by and by we began to GIVE Up. haha so just relented.
