magoo, wow...that is quite ex. the one i booked is a promo which my hubby got it from ShangriLa. 1 night 50% off for room, free broadband internet access, 50% off meals & drinkings for dining at the resort F&B as well. Will do a mini celebration with Sam there, just 3 of us.

nateM: yes i agree with the rest of the mummies, you should just bring him urself to the cc to minimise ur mummy's pain. grandparents all sayang their grandchildren and i think ur mum is the sensitive type. gosh, must be a handful to comfort a crying adult+a crying toddler!
for yz, he only goes to cc for 3 full days a week. so teacher has warned me that it may take longer for him as compared to those who goes 5 full days. but luckily, he took ard 3 weeks to adjust and by now, he will sometimes run into the cc w/o saying goodbye to me!

and its true $600 is really quite abit . yz's learning vision after subsidy is $600 too. and every mth-end, both hb and me will lament so fast 1 mth again when we issuing the cheque...

I used to have to pay $600 for Faith's cc too...learning vision also. Really not easy, it takes a big chunk of my salary. As we are now also considered single income family, I took Faith out and enrolled her to My First Skool. Now paying less than $300 mthly. Much easier on our wallets lah.

Was just wondering when faith change cc, did she cry? How long did it take for her to adjust? Jade may have to change school soon...I am so scared for her to go thru the whole phase again!

Give him alot of assurance and keep a positive attitude and praise him for being a good boy for going to school
Keep asking him about his friends and whether he likes playing with the toys in school, etc...and tell your mum must be positive too...dun let him see that she is very sad when he go school..coz they will feel it too and sense something wrong.

MyFirstSkool was one of the choices i looked at when wanted to place sarah in CC. but when we went for trial, sarah and daddy showed much dislike to the place. and it pales in comparison to the cherie hearts nearby.
daddy also said, its either Cherie Hearts or no CC at all. so tat was it...=( stubborn as a mule, my hubby until he cannot tahan...paying for the fee! and i guess, when you are used to having a wonderful treatment, you won't settle for second best. that's my hubby.

By the way, if we enrolled them for places like Apple Tree and tots house, those 3hrs programme, still have subsidy for working mothers or not??
I know if we place them at the half day CC which is about 4 hours, the $150 subsidy still apply although it's not much different from the full day rate after subsidy!!

Justme: I think its great that your 2 kids have you to take care of them. It really is ideal. I know what they say about socialising etc and sending to playschool but seriously it is ideal for mummies to take care of and nurture the kiddos at this age.
Once they hit P1,you will hardly see them.

i guess your words will give me more motivation to persevere on when i take care of my 2 "angels" haha. actually, i just met my ex-colleague (dunno i still have colleagues eh? like soooo long didn't work - been 3 years almost!).
she was complaining that her kid, now 6 years old, seldom sits down and spends time with her. if she knew, she'd spend more time with her girl when she's so much younger. so hopefully wat i am doing is so worth it.
everytime my temper is abt to fly due to the kids' nonsense, i will tell myself ..."this won't last forever...soon they'll be independent and won't need me" =P
