I did not bush any olive oil, actually eggplant taste better when fried but unhealthy lah. I just bake it w/o oil, then scrap the soft flesh out, very tasty!

lately Rae likes to pinch me.. its damn painful leh.. anyone else's bb like to pinch too??
 
carol: try some lah.. heehee. skali u fall in lve with it after that? :p i think roasted ones are very nice.. but the mixed veg kind. mixed with mince.. nice but very oily one :p

the only 2 vege i dun eat is egg plant & lady's fingers.

astro: unless u make egg plant then give me some. if not, i make, left overs must throw. sayang leh

Carol: i say no many times liao, not working!!, dunno why she just likes to pinch me and not herself!!!

Carol: roasted veggie (eggplant zucchini, bell peppers damn delicious.. u should try. Eggplant is more tasty than out local brinjal (although same family lah).

Astro: my eggplant qty so small, i use oven toaster.. very fast 7mins done liao. if u wanna bake whole big egg plant, min 150 to 180 temp, abt 20mins to 30mins can liao (depending on size of eggplant). it will turn really soft
 
Astro: Best is pan fried eggplant slices, then u drain and cool the eggplant, then mix in olive oil and lemon juice + salt.. wha irresistable.. (if time permits, mix in some chopped pan fried onions, garlic and bellpeppers)can store in fridge and eat slowly!! This is my special mediteranian influenced eggplant recipe. BTW Egplant also known as Poor man's cavier.

Astro: forget to tell u, eggplant has a slight bitter taste, so wat u need to do before cooking it is sprinkle salt on the slices 30mins before cooking, this will draw out the bitter juices, then u wash the eggplant under running water to clear off the salt before u cook it.

u bring teng to coffeeshop to get ur b/fast everyday? how come he fuss at macs and not thr coffeeshop??

i love curry fish head's ladyfinger + eggplant!

saying no also doesnt work for me. when i say NO, my girl wants to do the thing even more. i pull her back, she crawl back again and again. tell her cannot take my specs, she looks very amused, keeps taking it off, and putting in her mouth.

Star: Anna pinches me sometimes when I carry her - I think she wants to grab on tight. These days, her legs will giap over my waist when I hip carry her.. Else, she just touches my face to show her affection.

Her appetite has suddenly increased! Can finish 1/2 soupspoon of rice + half soupspoon of lentils + 3 baby cubes of veg + a slice of fish + some minced meat and 1.5 cube of fruits within 10mins! And can still wallop up a hadnful of cheerios after that.. I need to increase her intake..
 
Maybe it's cos we brought her swimming just now..

Hey, she is even more relaxed with the water now. Surprise cos we haven't had the chance to go to the pool with the cold weather recently. She would lie back on her head on the float on her own! And she was smiling and laughing away. I think it's also becos there are other children around in the pool. Previously, it was just me (sometimes daddy) and her..

i read in the superbabyfood book that it is advised not to cook these cos cooking kills the vitamins. best is jus grate fresh and eat...salad style. =D

bbgirl: i give minced meat to seth.. jus that i loke to cook them casserole style n freeze. i dun like to freeze raw meat for too long... weird habit. =p

pink: is the studio u went to N****** by N*****? my sis n bil signed up for the 3k package last year.. thou it was about 2k then. they took family pics outdoors and got 1 album. on my nephew's full moon, 1 photographer came n took hundreds of shots returned in a cd.. no prints. n they say it comes with free makeover for my sis n family takin pics, plus dunno how many times of free passport shots.. and dunno wat yyearly family shots... think they figured jus take as much as possible before they jup4 lup4 (close shop) then worth it liao. :S my hb's first thot was oso wat if they close down next month?! but apparently they r still surviving. and my niece's pic is on display in the shop too! i got a call from them but turned them down..cos know the gimmick liao. =p

Rae taking 1 rounded regular metal spoon now. maybe i should increase to 1 soup spoon see if she can finish.
 
joelle: i dun like raw peppers, taste too sharp liao.. actuallly i will pick out half cook peppers on pizza, dun like. i only like when they drizzle lots of olive oil and oven roast it. gosh i am getting hungry.
 
Baby Girl: i think u r right, she seems to be holding tight, thus pinching but hor sumtimes, she pinches me for fun, i think she likes the feel of pinching soft flesh. she likes to pinch my jaw and arms, weird right.. or maybe our bbs are now refining their pincer grasp!!!

u seems to like olive oil.. think u should go for those olive oil tasting.. in europe. u did that during ur europe trip?? :p

miser and i.. when eat at some european resturant. mainly italian. they will serve oilve oil with bread.. then we want to pretend pretend act classy. dig bread in olive oil and eat.. end up. ehh. think we still cina giaks.. spread butter on bread.. and ignore the olive oil :p
 
Astro: er...act, me damn cheena one too, i actually dun like olive oil. i cook my pasta sauces using reg sunflower oil cos i cannot tahan raw olive oil's smell and taste. The olive oil i buy to cook is the super light type. And i DUN let me repeat i dun dip my bread in olive oil, so yucky..hehe haha. but cooking eggplant is an exception, u need olive oil to bring out the taste esp when roasting lah. so for eggplants i make an exception. I think i will puke big time if i go for those olive oil tasting tours! hahaha

aiyo, i already yaya to my hubby liao when i read ur post that time, I told him my ger loves me cos she likes to hug hug me.. even my hubby commented tat Rae only likes to hug me. it seems tat she only do this hugging gesture with me and no one else!
 
Star: Yes, I've just told my maid to increase her rice by 1/4 soupspoon. I want to increase her veg intake as well..

I'm drooling too.. My maid will never be able to cook that.. *sigh*

Anna likes to play with my hair. If I'm lying down, she will attack my hair.. And if I turn my head left and right (and therefore my hair sways frm right to left), she'll chuckle! *weird*
 
Baby Girl: Anna getting more active thus burning more energy, need to feed her more liao. i think she is also enjoying her food more thus the increase in appetite.

Yah lor. She's getting more active and I realise she's no longer got her rounded tummy. I think she could be losing weight.

i think if they dun have hae bee hiam, they might just give u lady's finger with sambal chilli, equally good lah. i think i should try to order too when i next frequent a tze char stall.

Astro: One thing my maid can't do well is cooking.. *sigh* No one is perfect and our priority is her childcare skills. So we live with it.

Star: It took a v long time - more than 1mth I think. One design I picked was OOS, and I decided to choose another one. Not sure if that's the reason.
 
Baby GIrl: u got the shoes direct or from a BP here? how is the quality of the shoes? btw has Anna outgrown any of her shoes yet?
 
Star: From a BP here. The shoes and soles are soft. Not sure if this point is valid but I prefer shoes with a strap closing than those without. I find it easier to put on.

Yes she's outgrown at least 5 pairs of shoes liao. 2 of which we seldom wear, maybe just once.

I ordered the L size from pediped, good thing they're still larger than her feet now, even if I take into account her wearing socks.
