HJ: For the free gym, it's $15 for 1 hr. If you sign up for membership, it's $8 each time. The membership costs $50 and you get a free t-shirt plus 1 free trial lesson (the one with a teacher conducting and guiding in the activities.) So the membership is v worth it if you intend to bring your child there regularly. The trial lesson costs abt $30 on its own as well..

HJ: You mean the free trial class? Erm.. I think u need to sign up first. They'll issue you a ticket. WIth that, u can call up to book the trial class. Not sure if you can just sign up and join on the spot or not..
But if you're referring to the free gym, then yes, can sign up as member then pay $8 (instead of $15) for 1 hr.

Yvonne: ehh.. 11 kg at 9mths is heavy. coz for teng.. hmm. if remember correctly.. also the same leh. and he is a boy (boys supposed tobe heavier) and he is already considered overweight..

but i tell u.. dun be so affected by this.. coz as long as bel is happy and well.. and the food she takes in healthy and varied.. shouldnt be a problem.. at most concentrate more on protein and vitamins and minerals .. and reduce her carbo a bit.. still ok one.. bel quite active with her crawling. unlike teng.. so i doubt she will get obese or what one.. and somemore hor.. better if bbs have some reserves.. else fall sick.. like teng (not cursing bel ah).. they really lose weight one when sick.. so at least wun be that bad mah.. u understand.?

hmm. teng has an activity table. not very good , in fact quite lousy. a gift from Miser's friend.. but i dun think the activity table can resist the force by teng should he attempt to pull to stand? this boy heavy lei.. in fact i slightly concerned that the sit to stand giraffe also might toppled.. haiz.

yes.. the play yard is a must get.. how much did u pay for urs the other time? coz he must learn to be more independent and play inside it and not ask us to mayor him round the house all day!
can the panels when put together, tahan his pulling to stand?? and it is too high for them to reach when they want to pull to stand?

think me might have to start with the giraffe first.. see some results. then i got more bullets to shoot miser to buy somemore ! :p haha

today quite happy coz my mum saw some light as to cannot carry teng all the time liao.. coz i told a white lie.. say i got a fren (actually dun have at all).. the MIL keep carrying her dotter.. end up 15 mths liao.. still can't stand.. dun say walk.. then i think she slightly worried liao.. then coz teng always see her. want her carry liao.. she very siong.. can't take it already.. so this evening.. she actually left teng in the cot, standing.. then 'train' teng to cruise in the cot!! then teng, though fiercely protesting, still cruise the whole cot four times..i know nothing much. at least that is his first step to 'independence'.he moves by himself.. not with us holding him..

then also ask him to push against my dining chairs (heavier) and saw him actually move the chair (and himself) across the length of my hall!!!

i am happy. i hope it stays this way.. and one day , when teng finally pull himself to stand, sit himself up from lying position , and cruise around by HIMSELF,, i think i will weep with joy ...

Astro: Actually I find the table is more stable than my "giraffe". Anna has overtopple the giraffe a few times if she applied the pressure at the incorrect spots. Tha table is ok so far. One trick is always to place them to the gate/wall so there's some support. For the gates, it won't overtopple at all. The gates have vertical bars which the babies can hold onto while pulling to stand - ie they don't have to be able to reach all the way to the top for them to pull to stand.

Oh.. I got the gates from Cheong Choon. Should be at the same price as what the other mums paid for their set. I bot them long ago leh.. Before my girl was born! Again, I'm not ashamed to say I'm very KS...

by the way, u worried too much liao. hug hug is just hug hug, where got nao chu ren ming?? today tian played with tv remote then suddenly tv turned on, and it was channel 8.. with hk show, a scene when a couple slept toegther then one of them woke up n realised it. tian was like: OH? she opened her mouth. jialat! i use a tilam to cover her eyes, but too late liao. cham liao.

And I finally realise she's going to walk very soon.. Becos' she's able to put one foot in front of her other now while we face her and hold both her hands to walk.. Happy and sad feeling at the same time...
It's like I'm afraid she'll turn "bad" and rebellious one day.. Do u get that feeling sometimes?

Astro: It's at the HBD block next to People's Park. It's a baby store and sells many baby items. You name it, 80% she'll carry the item. Yah. she can deliver the gates to your place. I would say to orer 2 sets (ie 8 panels) leh. Cos 4 is only slightly bigger than the normal playpen size.. And as our babies grow bigger, they definitely need more space to move around.. So if can go for 8, if not have 6 at least..

My table is a Fisher Price one.. The table top is removable and double-sided. One side has a few activities, the other side is a pop-on block. And the set comes with some big blocks for her to stack onto the board. Well... all she does with the blocks now is put them into her mouth..

Astro: Yah lah.. Don't think it makes any difference whether she's holding onto our palm or fingers right? She is walking with the walker - one foot forward at a time. Now quite steady..

Bad and rebellious? Becos mummy is quite wilful leh.. So far she hasn't shown any symptoms of this character trait yet.. But I'm really very afraid she'll become like me. I will faint!
 
bbgirl: apparently. different leh. coz all along. teng was holding to our palms.. till went gymboree. the instructor asked us to just let him hold fingertips.. and first time we did that. he wobble a bit. coz contact surface smaller mah. less suppor.. just one finger leh. not all the fingers leh..

hmm.. then u have to 'eat own fruits liao'..heehee. 'retribution'? :p:p.. coz teng already like that. manipulative.. just like his mum!! so i already fainted liao.. :p

Actually we leave her in the playyard a lot. Sometimes we're not even in there with her. We set the playyard in the living room where there is most traffic. So she gets to see us walking about and doing our stuff. And I can see her from my laptop. She likes the table - has been spending a lot of time standing in front of it dunno doing what..

The name of the table or the name of the shop? Shop lah I think.. I don't have the name, but I have the tel number 65323855. The lady's name is Winnie. She also sells the mozzie patch for babies..
