QQ: ya i use to add barley water to her cereal too.. just gotta sneak in more water.. infact,now i even feed her water after her last latch on my breast.

I just saw the TVC for the Triumph Part Bra range.. the plunge neckline and low back bra looks very good leh.. i wonder if its expensive.

My 1-year old son often have constipation problem. His porridge always have 1 meat, broccoli, potato & tomato (sometime carrot). Will these meal cause him to have constipation? I give him a lot of fluid but doesn't help.

Answer
If you are using white rice for your porridge, you may want to switch to brown rice porridge. It is also known as red rice - it is rice where the husk is not taken off, thus the fibre content is much higher. You may want to mix it half and half (white & brown) initially. Increasing the fibre content of your son's diet will help with the constipation, however you have to do this gradually. Adding too many high-fibre foods too quickly may cause gas and bloating. Other high-fibre foods you can introduce are wholemeal bread, wheat crackers and rolled oats. Also if you are still chopping up the vegetables very fine, you may want to make them chunkier as chopping finely breaks down the fibre.

i think should be seperation anxiety... i went orchard today... so far so good... cos my bestfren's fren help to entertain her... den at NYDC eating my 2 slice of cake... she was carrying bel... den bel suddenly freak out tt she cant see mi, scream out loud... cried badly again... faint...

mommies... i veri happy today... cos i had 2 slice of cake... wahaha... i noe is abit silly to post something like tt... heee... had BIG O AND CHOC ADDICTION... so yummy... even hb said he going to pub with his army frenz, i don feel anything... whahahahaha... till now he is not back yet... his ah ma sitting in the living room now , worring wad time he coming back... i happily sitting here surf net... wahahahaha...

this 2 days i cook porridge for bel... the broccoli i nv chop.. i put the whole thing in.. good? when she wan to eat den i use the spoon to chop smaller pieces... and i need to ask u... i actually can feel the bone in the cod fish, cos when it is not cook, veri difficult to take out the bone... so i steam it first... den after it is cooked, i cant find the bone liao... y hah?

looking at wat u type abt leia's crying. i know wat's ur problem liao. u r not catching her signals, like when she's tired, she need to rest before she's overtired. once she miss the cue and become too tired, she wil jus cry cry cry. too hungry of cos will cry lor. my suggestion would be difficult for you bcos u only look after her on weekends. wat dun u ask ur maid abt her schedule? maybe leia has nap times, feeding times. jus follow wat the maid do with leia, like that vv difficult to go wrong. if not, then u got to be vv alert and catch her cue. otherwise, like Yvonne, put leia on schedule best.

will babies at this age still get colic? i wondering... cos i think maybe she got wind and get cranky? eat too much broccoli will get wind? i m not sure, but nick's ah ma said before broccoli got alot of wind... and so is sweet potato...

told u lah.. it's ultra lah.. make me happy for a while.. i dun use ultra. too premium. anyway, my mom already "trained" Jo. Jo now vv guai. wan to peep will eh eh.. wan to poo, ngeh ngeh.. diff sounds one.. most of the time quite zhun, can do in potty. so i save on diapers. anyway, both M and Jo use huggies dry. the huggies pull up i bought is for going out... dun wan to struggle with her outside...

yvonne: i have seen such cases of bones disappearing too! i suspect it's soft bones... hard when uncooked but soft when cooked so we cannot find. i usually flake the fish n manually press thru with my fingers... then when feeding, i will use the spoon to scrap thru it bit by bit in case i miss out! sometimes see bone-lookalike, butvery soft kind..

actually, i seldom change her diaper outside coz she usually poo in the potty eveery morning.
but think coz bcoz she shock from the fall, poo-ed 2x today.

how to train potty... i give up this idea liao... now i use her potty as my stool ah... i will sit on her potty and feed her... funny? and i read in a mag, saying tt baby should be train after 18mth? cos bladder not mature yet... and is not good for them to control their urine... ?? how true?

yvonne: dunno leh..jus be careful lo. i suggest u scoop out the fish fr ur porridge, then go thru them with ur spoon... u know? like use the back of the spoon n 'rake' it.... will catch any missed out bones... or use finger... but i find spoon more effective. cos finger skin thick..haa..can see big ones..but small wans still may miss out..best is do both... after dat, then feed seperately or add into porridge again.

we r not teaching them to control, but trying to teach them to tell us when bb wan to poo or pee. there's a difference. that means we go with their flow, but must catch their cue. i think poo cue is easier to understand and catch than pee... this one hor, i can't really teach u bcos my mom is the teacher.. heeee... weekends, i jus dump Jo in the diapers. :p

today, i cooked porridge w fish for the 1st time.
i find quite nice leh.. coz some bones but i managed to remove and wire mesh everything thru.
after that i gave Kiwi for dessert

pax: just fed up with virgos' too 'calm and collected' appearance..lack of affection at times.. and too much trust in partner's 'capability'.. will leave partner's to their own devices.. so i told him off .. he just listened.. and left the room without saying anything..then i cry cry cry lor..

ya, but its display set lor. then mattress i using existing bbsafe matt. mothercare one cost $360 as well! so exp.
personally, husb & myself prefer bbsafe one.
 
kiwi might trigger some alleriges. coz after all.. it can be considered citrus. so slowly on that.. though very high vitamin c.. teng only took that like 3 weeks back??

how come your level of your cot bed look so high? looks a bit dangerous. i still dun dare to keep leia in the cot, so afraid tat she will knock onto the sides even with bumper.

i can't match my timing with the maid. usually i go by every 3-4hrs wont go wrong, but once in a while maybe she got hungry earlier or i mistook her for wanting people to play and carry..hiaz.

anyway how about the stranger anxiety? leia got in since 5th mth, i wonder how long it will last. this is important because it will affect my decision whether to have a big or small celebration for her first birthday.
 
pink.. stranger anxiety.. in fact both anxieties peak at 1 yr.. then slowly fade off by 2.. pax would tell u it depends on characters also.. true. teng stranger more anxious than seperation..

she's not ready to be potty train. u r jus catching her signal. potty train means can hold her bladder, but like u mention wat u read, they can only do it fr 18mths onwards. once u got her signal, jus drop everything, bring the potty and take out her diapers and sit her on the potty... she gets the idea that when she poo, it would be in the potty... if u miss her cue and she poo liao, nvr mind, jus sit her on the potty with the diapers and let her finish her biz.. she wil get the idea.. i think if really wan to train got to ask QQ, Tian is "trained"...
