Me (M): Will bbs develop a probia to solids?
Doc: no ..unless they have been forced fed repeatedly

M: then how if bbs dun want to eat?
Doc: as long as they are happy, alert.. no other special signs.. they could be just regulating their own weight.. let them be..

(this my own private qn)
M: ehh.. my boy has shingles before.. so everytime he goes on strike with his food.. i am very worried..
Doc: ya. can understand ur worry over this.. but it's really ok as long as bb is fine in everything else..

M: eh.. strike for a few days lei..
Doc: one week also considered normal.. anyway. ur boy has reserves to spare ..(duh.. he smiled at this pt.. funny lor..)
M: he went on strike for two weeks that time leh..
Doc: it's ok.. as long as no other signs.. dun force feed.. let bb guide u... respect the bb.. can try encourage.. if really dun want. and u are sure that everything else all ok.. then let it be..they wun develop probia for solids one..

What if baby bully mummy. Only want to eat food they like and shut their mouth for food they don't like?

Regulating weight? Aiyo, mine skinny liao, what weight she want to regulate? Maybe she think she is fat, that is why goes on diet...haiz...girl!
 
hope: ha! now u understand huh? :p else me like the siao siao noe always lamenting and complaining here and everyone doesn't seem to understand :p

what u mean by bully? soemtimes is because too much milk.. then really can't eat.. teng like that these 2 days.. whole schedule haywired .. totally haywired.. i let u know lah. actually teng onalso strike now.. coz sick.. he hasn't had any food and milk since 2.30 in the afternoon hor.. refused his tea time solids.. not a single drop of milk for 6.30 feed.. see? stressful or not?

think tomorrow more to come.. cry and cry.. dun want to sleep.. then sleep will wake up crying coz possible hunger. but still dun want to drink coz nose too blocked.. and no appetite for solids.. i give up!

hope: i went into depression before liao.. when teng 's two -three months. so been there and done that.. can't afford to go into another depression again. u were on mc for stress? ur workplace so kind to accept the mc??
 
KELLEY-I still alive and kicking ah but kicking lesser here only. If that's the case, a bit of morning sickness is more assuring hor? u take care hor, don't overexert urself. sayang.

astro_pro-teng flu? my boy also, but finished his 5 days of nasal drop last week liao. teng better now?

hope-if she drink or eat lesser for each feeding, can u shorten her feeding time interval? I do that when my boy don't want to drink or eat full, to make sure he don't have empty stomach for too long, better than nothing. my boy also 'miao tiao' lo yet he 'think' he is fat.

Enne: sweetie.. where did u go to ah? :p haha.. mushy. i know. sian lor.. just starting on first day nasal drops.. alamak.. think wasted money see PD lei.. i mean. i can almost guess what he wansts to give liao.. and indeed he prescribed zytrec and nose drops.. same types as i have at home somemore.. i think i should try to get myself into the medical school..duh..

astro_pro-I understand what u going through, my boy been through that too, even worse when he was hospitalized that time, doc even wanted to put him on drip coz he is not taking in anything, not even water?.. haiz but there's nth we can do, once he's better eventually his appetite will come back but its xing ku seeing him like that I know, strained emotionally and physically.
 
SQ: ehh.. unfortunately. yes :p missed u also.. saw u online in the morning. but was in a very shitty mood to join u in the chat.. *sigh*..

astro_pro-haha got la, something like mash's Jayden case but I think my boy worse coz he totally no appetite during his 4days stay, many phlegm in his lungs, arising in flu and bad cough, suck out his phlegm and got the ventolin inhaler. haizzz.

astro_pro-talking abt CIO, I never let my boy CIO coz he got lotsa phlegm so if let him CIO scared he will puke out his last feed.

think of the happier things: like how cute teng is, how big his eyes are, how lucky you are to have him etc. dun keep thinking of the "bad" things.

haiz....so sad to hear so many babies down wif flu.
yesterday i just went for a talk abt influenza....the specialist consultant say that the flu bug is coming. IN fact he suggest to all to take the flu jab. My co giving for free..but i din take. But after his talk.....i feel like taking.

anyway...yes...i tink my son and hubby both got flu liao. Veyr very important...as stressed by the profesional infectious disease DR....WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!!

Mummies...if sick..pls wash hands...if looking after sick kiddies...pls wash wash hands also. ANd if da mummy is sick...wear mask. If the kiddy is sick...mummy to wear mask also. ANd dose on vit c....i read from somewhere that our kids can drink small amts of orange juice..which can be added into the food. AS this aids wif disgestion of calcium or izit protein food.
 
hope: reason whyu i ased.. coz some GPs will write down the reason on the Mc.. if put stress.. some very mean employers might not accept lor..

enne: wah.. siao liao.. sian hor? teng's lungs clear... else u see me more frustrated..
 
audrey: vitamin C aids with digestion of iron in protein food.. calcium needs vitamin D..

astro_pro-yupe doc say if ever boy cough a lot can hear phlegm, must take note of his breathing, coz phlegm in lungs causes breathing difficulties. haiz so worrying at times.

gak-never-ending phlegm ler, don't know what to say liao. u know, I keep thinking its my fault, maybe I never eat well or anyhow eat wrong things during pregnancy days, I can't think of other reasons liao lo haizzzz. hehe ok la how abt u, how's life??

Sigh, my ger very lazy leh. She refused to take the cheerios and put in her mouth. MIL said she just open her mouth big big and put her hands BEHIND herself and wait to be fed... To date, she still won't hold her own milk bottle.

I found some organic barley (not Pearl barley) quite excited, i think its hulled barley leh. The lady that runs the organic shop does not speak english so she dun understand what is hulled barley..but confirm mine is not pearl barley.

OF COZ GOT CRY lah. BEst part..the old nag also dun know i cry. I so pissed off with so many things..wif kids...wif pregnancy...wif so many other things like the old old nag nagging way way too much until i pack my things and left her house. Next day put son at my in-laws house...she never forget that time till now lor. Everytime say my son now so skinny...becoz of in-laws...and always threaten to stop looking after kaylyn and ask me to look for in-laws or childcare. SUre got cry wan lah....
we are females leh...our gan qing feng fu.
Yan lei also dou dou. But we strong..cry muz always look at the best thing. Only we have the strength..and bodies(our figures now can prove it) to carry this little baby for 9mths. So...all this small things...just seems so trivial. We can make it. Thats why we got forum...and ours has the most posts too!!!!

orange juice...
i drank it everyday when i was preggy...even now also everyday. Coz i love love it so much. Its either orange or lemon juice. I tink the phlegm part will pass. My son also like got phelgm. LAst time when younger...dun know how to cough it out...when older...became better. I din give meds at all. Only once or twice when he was all blocked up...till he was a little cranky.

gak-alamak I can imagine how heartache u must have been, lucky its over hor, now is he ok now?? mummy is not an easy job esp when baby is sick, see with eyes, ache in the heart. how nice if there's no illnesses in this world.

starfruit,gak-which organic shop u referring to?? last week went to an organic shop in Kovan, my MIL bought a packet of powder form for my boy to mix in his food, think got walnut and don't know what else. hulled barley good? for what de?
 
gak: i also still cannot confirm if the barley i got is hulled barley but it does looks like it..kinda brownish..i must try and get someone to verify. Not expensive..only $1.55 per pack.

Enne: The shop i bought the barley from is located inside Upepr Serangoon shopping Centre.

hulled barley vs pearl barley is the same as brown rice vs white rice
hulled barley more nutritious than pearl barley

i gave my boy mainly for the cooling properties

i'll express out the BM & add into his FM...gradually ur BM will slowly decrease
but i still need to occassionally EBM le
my breast still feels engorged at times
at 1st dragged abt 2days b4 i need to EBM then became a wk..

BTW heard that if nv wean baby b4 1yo,
after 1yo, baby won't wanna wean liao lo
