(2007/03) March 2007 MTBs

Pax,
so I must train her to control? You let Jo goes out without diapers liao? I'm abit worried about my carseat and my clothes ... :p

swmom,
this is only the beginning. I think it's a test set by God. Kent was telling me today that he'll be convinced if by the end of this HFMD saga I still stand by my decision, haha!!!

Yvonne,
oh ya, I remember seeing your post about your new blog's address. Can I have it again? Cos that day accessed using hp so couldn't save it.

swmom
no no. def not P. :p no activity at all, how to P??

irin
cannot train one. she'll learn w time. yes, we bring Jo out w/o diapers. she'll tell us or hold her crotch area, then we know to bring her. for car seat, we got the kiddopotamus piddlepad fr BP. it's a must buy for toilet training! http://www.kiddopotamus.com/p_pid.php
if Reye still cannot hold, beta to "train" her to wear diapers when going out. at home, let her go w/o

swmom,
kids will still fall sick mah then with the housework and etc ... He thinks that I might just give up, haha!!

Pax,
the problem with her now is she doesn't want to put on diapers. We had to coax her into putting on pull-ups by telling her it's actually a pair of shorts. She's still in the shadow of diapers causing the pain on her bum. Then when she's in pull-ups, she wants to take them off before she pees.

irin
when RR r well, u can start by letting Reyes go w/o diapers for the short trips to n fro school. then u must let teachers know that Reyes is toilet trained, so that they can keep an eye on Reyes.
last time in the car when Jo tells us she wan to pee, she cannot hold, will pee. lucky for the piddlepad. if not, wash carseat till face green green liao. now she tells us she wan go, we tell her to hold, she'll hold...

irin
it'll take time for her to realise that her butt is ok. got to coax her to wear especially when going out. mr pax occasionally still wan Jo to be in pull-ups or diapers, esp on Sundays for her music class. once she's in diapers, she won't ask to go toilet.
piddlepad can use for any carseats... last time w M, i think dun hv such thing leh. end up, we got to put many layers of towels...

pax: go activity lah... maybe it's the lack of it... hahaha...*siam*...

i tried to tell cc tr to train S cos she prone to diaper rash, she only says she'll try... now S no longer toilet trained... she used to be trained except when she sleeps.... :-(

huingee: my mil told me to train S to squat on toilet bowl when outside..omg so dangerous..... i told her no, i rather carry her while she does it...

huingee
ya lor... that's why i must monitor n see if i wan Jo to go diaperless in HK...

swmom
u mean S was toilet trained? then did u tell CC? if u tell CC, then they'll keep an eye on her n ask her to go toilet regularly.

swmom,
huh? did you tell the teachers she's trained?

Pax,
let her go w/o diapers on short trips to/fro school? Then will continue without diaper in school?

Huingee,
ya, my mum also tells me it'll be easier for Reyden cos he don't even have to remove his shorts to pee??? haha!!

swmom
no lah. dun squat on toilet bowl. teaching the wrong thing leh. if toilet dirty, i rather carry her lor...

swmom, Pax,
I'm also worried about that when Reyes goes back to CC. I wonder if the teachers will really diligently bring her to the toilet or just put her on diaper ...

irin
yes. cont w/o diapers in school... the teachers will be glad to help u cont w toilet training in school bcos the initial difficult training part is taken care of liao..

irin
Jo still wet her pants sometimes in school. when they play, they tend to forget. call the school n talk to them?

Pax,
ok, I'll let the teachers know when she's back in CC.

Was Matthew this fast in toilet-trained as well? I've got a feeling that Reyden will take ages to be trained. He's not the least interested in the potty at all.

swmom,
Squat dangerous also. I did try to carry Esther before but the angle not right. Kena wet her pants and need to buy pants to change.
Nowadays i buy a spray out to spray the toliet seat, more fan xin.

pax/irin: i told the techer she's 80% trained, only when she sleeps then she needs pampers.. other times, just need to tell her to go pee on regular timings and sometimes, she does it on her own... poo as well, she will tell us... though sometimes false alarm... now no more... back to 0%...sad...

pax: i didn't want to argue with her.. she won't listen... luckily she's not the care giver now...phew.. must watch it if we go out after S's toilet trained though...

irin
M was fast. by 2 yrs, he was off diapers when we r out. must give credit to my mom. M was seldom in diapers. my mom diligently bring him to toilet to pee since vv young. M already knows how to signal he wan to poo, since 4-5mths old. with Jo, bcos she's #2 n hv to take care of #1, no time to "train" her...

some kids r jus not interested in toilet training. dun worry. jus leave him be..

swmom,
what do you mean now no more? S don't tell the teachers she wants to pee or poo? Sometimes will have disruption when kids have a change of environment. Maybe you try again?

huingee: agree dangerous... but she's more concerned abt hygiene...told me "of we'll hold on to her lah" and also told me her proud success of teaching another gal to do the squat method...

Pax,
wah, that's fast. I heard that boys tend to be slower so I guessed that's not true. Jo will sleep without diaper in school also?

Irin: meaning S don't tell Me when she wants to pee.. she also used to pee in her potty before she sleeps, these days, she'll just do it in her pampers...

swmom,
maybe cos of the new change (going to CC)? Did you start to get her to pee in potty at home again?

irin
no leh.. teachers still insist she put on diapers during nap... i'm ok lah. once a day only. i already save a lot of diaper money liao.. at home, she nap w/o diaper

RR: yes, i do... but now she won't volunteer and we have lesser time at home... my mom says she once even told my mom.. "shh shh" then she walk to the potty and take off her pants and pee in it herself.. actually she's very independent...

these days after ccc, we go to mil's place or my mom's place for dinner, reach home by 8, settledown and go into room at 8.30pm. she sleeps by 9pm.

wkends we tend to go out, so not much chance to train her...

irin
not true that boys r slower... some kids jus simply refused...
rmbr to pack a few more pants / shorts in Reyes' bag....

QQ, *hugs* how's yr mum taking it? hope she is another strong woman like u..

mummies and tods, enjoy the birthday bash tmr!

pax: actually at ccc they also don't use alot of diapers... which i rather they do cos her pampers always so heavy when we fetch her... once hb even says the pampers drop when she jumped and the tr just pulled up the pampers again cos she was on pull ups...:-(

oh.. we bumped into Ivy Lee at Bt Timah Plaza NTUC. 2nd time liao. same outfit, but this time she's spotting a bump! #4!

swmom
her diaper rash bcos they dun change often enuf? i think must highlight this kind of things to the teachers. it also show the teachers not caring enuf leh. need to feedback to their principal. the toilet training part, actually can insist one.

pax: actually i told the teacher and even told her to apply diaper cream at every change... but i only provide one tube of diaper cream, now, i'm going to put 1 tube of diaper cream in every diaper bag, in case she's not the one to change her...

did think abt talking to the principal but worry the tr won't like it and it will affect S cos she's very clingy to her... i'll give her some time to settle the new kids coming into the class this month and chk with her again in apr...

pax, same leh.. in fact worse today.. whole day only drink 400ml.. sigh.. and she developed a bad habit of drinking only when sleeping. when awake she will scream and shove the bottle away macham we feeding her poison. so everytime to make her drink, my maid has to make her sleep first. and even so, also drinks a bit only.. dunno wat to do with her.. we are so scared to bring her out coz of her drinking habit.

Pax,
oic, I just want to see what's the normal practice so that I can tell the teachers. Tks alot for the tips.

Ivy's expecting her #4, it was in 8 days quite sometime ago.

Swmom,
oh ya lah, if not much time at home then quite difficult. If not for the HFMD, I probably won't get down to toilet train her at all. :p
