Philanthropist.. i once took part in an action research when teaching.. something abt how producer of info constructs the information in a certain way for the consumer of info (us) to perceive.. so if the consumers of info (us) interpret the info (long long bananas) this way. it goes to show that the producer (yvonne) has that in mind too!!

hahaha... well, my hair is short now!! cut it during maternity leave, cos got no time to maintain and upkeep my long hair. now got no long hair to flip here and there liao, that's y feel so auntie.... haahaha... i can still remember my hubby's remarks when i chided him for not knowing how to tie ponytail.. he say "it's my 1st time tying hair leh!!" the nurse also laughed at him "so innocent meh?" hahaha

i also dun usually dress up EJ nicely.. only when got impt event or outing.. mostly he also wear PJs or bodysuits.

I LOVE TITUTEO LEH.. i booked her liao hor. :p so smart her. me getting headaches coz teng refused to eat.. smart lass suggeted use cheerios to tempt him as snack. apple puree..(coz the only two fruits he allowed to eat now. the other is.. ehh.. think one must go to another good fren find liao.. Bananas!) then slowly slowly. teng managed to eat half of an apples with some cheerios.. and more than 60ml of 'apple juice' ah!! finally the needed vitamins in his body to fight the virus liao.. heng ah..

Smart Lass.. next what ah? see lah. the steady ones *sigh* dunno why they like to hide and dun speak up one :p

oh yeah....yesterday...super sleepy...Ko very early...coz the nite b4 din sleep.
I tink mayb the dr gave you lacteal forte. Its also acidophilus. Brand name diff. But its the same thingy. Gastric fly..they woould give to help regulate the tummy juices. It won't cause constipation. Do you constipate after drinking yakult? No rite?

Today taking full feed liao?

hmm.. the minute i posted. he fussed again. think want to sleep. sleeping alot. let him lah. else no rest can't recover also..

actually he not drinking very well lei. refused the half strengths from 1 pm till now. so desperate.. took up joelle's suggestion cheerios with apple purees. and just continue feed water..at least he stays hydrated..(though barely lah)..i hope he wun throw all those up. els eno more vitamins for him liao..

morning small LS . then after i increased to 90ml half strength, half an hour later.. big LS.. hmm why ah? can't stand the increase or because of all the half strengths. hence LS?

got to force feed him the Lactol forte..(ya. indeed this one).. coz mixed with water also dun want open mouth.. then got to force feed.. *sigh*

hmm. i tihnk he not yet recovering leh. i hope wun trigger shingles lei.. seirously.. now imunity so low liao.. sigh. and body slightly warm.. but no fever according to the ear thermometer lei.. no full feeds yet.. i think he can't stnad it yet leh

what u think? continue 90ml half strength or what for his milk feed later at around 7pm?
 
Autum: Ah Jun is Teng's love.. noone can snatch her away from him one. not even lengzai EJ hor..they are playmates in slumberland park.. and will not part.. EJ, however handsome, stands no chace with Ah Jun one hor.. malao zai is my Love's son lor! :p

if he's not puking...not that bad. And wha wah twice...not that bad. Quite norm for teng rite? Can try full feeds. If he tolerating feed well..meaning no puking. Its okie. Coz yesterday he din eat much solids. So he wah wah sure a bit more liquidfied. If he wah wah..it means that at least food passing thru the digestive system. And nutrients are absorbed. If he pukes...dan more worrying. Coz the food not digested at all. Good way to check if he is hydrated...his lips..and also...if he is filling at least 3-4 diapers today...should be quite alright liao. Go for full feeds. And see how well he tolerate. But give smaller amt. Say abt half to 3/4 of his usual amt. Follow his cue. If after abt 2 hrs...he is hungry..and he isnt fussing..can give more.
no hard and fast rules lah. I not peads train....but hor..after dealing wif fussy son...and stomach flus...GE etc....thatz what i roughly would do. The force feeding part....no worries..you well get better wif it. Just remember..they dun know the med will help. But we know it will help them get better. SO have to do it definitely.

audrey: slightly spitting up of his very little porrige feed after i fed him anti vomit med.. so not sure that is considered vomiting also.. hmmm.

normal for him to poo twice. but not in such close succession. normally once after breakfast, once after dinner. and certainly not so liquid lah..

not filling his diapers certainly. not even heavy.. but he is still urinating lah.. lips quite ok. cry got tears.. hmm think still hydrated?

i have this feeling that he is going to reject his milk feed again later.. and porridge also. sigh.. ok.. i will try 3/4 full strength later.i hope he wun puke. really hope he wun puke. sigh..

Last time my gal LS, I made her some soup like lotus root with red dates.. with very little rice= v. watery porridge

at least some food for the little sick fella..

u can also make some watery cereal if u are not keen to make soup.

for Medication i've got no choice but to add in her milk intake.. I'll make 60ml with med.. and 60 -100ml without the med.. at least she'll finish the milk with med 1st then cont with the rest of milk feed.

I did not really half her milk intake cos for that period i've change to soy base milk.. friso tends to be sweeter for milk so i chose that.. maybe u want to try other brand of soy brand milk instead of the one u are using now.

I remembered my doc at Kidslink gave my gal some hydration "salts" for her to mix with water to drink.. to keep the body hydrate.

Hope your little precious get well real soon..
 
Sunsweet: my ger also like to eat lotus roots but she is not tat crazy abt the soup.
Maybe i should give her lotus roots as teether, so much cheaper than bellamy!!!

Sunsweet: thanks for the note and concern. at least ur bb will drink milk with medication .. teng wun.. yes.. i am practically forcing teng. water parade.. apple juice what not.. if still like that think i need head for another visit with the PD..
did talk abt soy forumula. but eventually conclude stay with half strength FM coz not too sure if teng can take it.. becoz i too get abit of LS if i take soya milk.. so dunno teng will too or not. anycase.. he did have a slightly wet diaper just now and certainly consumed more liquid (not a lot as compared to his usual) than yesterday...

Audrey: teng didn't finish his full strength feed. took only 60ml. and again forced feed him lactael forte and his usual medication. dunno how much went in. he was struggling very badly..

one more LS.. not as much but still quite a lot.. and i really think he feels warm.. why is that happening? should i be concerned and ask the PD abt the 'fever'? coz the thermometer reads 36.5 only. hmmm..

and the WHOLE family is down with the stomach flu liao.. just now was like war.. screaming bb.. busy mum trying to force feed bb with medication. and sick grandma vomitting in the toilet (and LS ing also).. unwell papa came home.. LS once in the bedroom toilet and laid limp on the sofa.. now both of them are off to see the GP.. *sigh* ur experience of whole family sick with stomach flu is repeating itself in the Kong Family.. i just hope that i can stay strong and fight the damm idoitic virus off..!!! *sigh*

Pax and audrey: i have this vitamin C for bb .. can i feed it to teng now along with infacol and his antivomit med? else dun think he is getting enough vitamin C to fight the stomach flu..

STar: not busy feeding.. dun even have to feed.. coz rejecting.. busy pacifying him.. crying. how come i also get the feeling that he might be teething too??? .. NO shingles pls!

AStro's joke of the day: Miser told astro not to use the masterroom toilet coz he LS there scared virus. Earlier.. AStro's mum LS and vomiited in the kitchen toilet.. there are only two toilets in Astro's house.. So where should AStro go to relieve herself and such? Use Teng's diapers??

Recently I have just organised a JE551 Spree for friends and colleagues and one of them ordered the dress you posted! It is very nice, I felt tempted to buy but I have got way TOO MANY black clothes, must try to colourise my wardrobe.

Hmm, I've been tempted to buy also but the images of my ger tearing out the pages of the books, whacking the unit on the play yard cross my mind... so I think, for that kind of money I can get many board books, cloth books which are less likely to be utterly destroyed. So with the link that Pax posted and the recent BP, I went ahead to spend close to $200 on books for her. Okay, so I made up my mind, no little touch, maybe when she older, I'll get the next stage for her.

One of my colleague, her whole family - 4 members sleep together on two queen size mattress on the floor... her 2 gers always have been sleeping together with her. Her eldest is 4yo.
 
btw, I got some JE551 clothes from my recent spree up for sale at the WTS section. They are too small for me... A further $1 reduction in price for the march mommies!

Star, tian also made my day today la.. though she was fussy in the midnight (last few days).
When we gave her straw cup today, she drink from the cup.. haha! it was water. then maybe sometimes over shot a bit, but seems she already knew how to do it but i still blur blur never give her try. so today, confirm she can drink from straw cup liao. happie sia... when she is not as messy, can try milk milk in the cup liao.
so, i dun need to buy more cup.. its magmag.. orange body, green top. ugly combination since i did not want to buy extra cup ma. just use previous cup .. if she can drink more then i can buy any colour she likes.
later come back and catch up again.
 
QQ: good good.. told u to use the straw cup ..the yakult straw really to diff to suck for her lah.
I managed to make Rae drink close to 150ml of water from her straw cup today.. me happy happy too.. hope this will ease her constipation a little. ya milk in the cup is my next step too.. when my dumex comes next week, i will let her drink from the cup.

Atro: alamak, how come whole family also down with stomach flu. U wanna ask ur mum to go home and rest and stay away from ur place till she reovered.. cut down the possibility of infecting anyone futher. U have to take care leh. Dun fall ill too.

SQ: I used nature's farm as the starter culture for my yogurt. Pax used Paul's yogurt as her starter culture. BOth our yogurt turned out equally fine. We did not give these yogurt to bb to consume. And according to Astro, there was recently a recall for baby yoplait so she dun dare to buy them for now. Thats all the info i can provide so far.
 
autum, book my tian? haha! my tian gangster one leh. timid and yet chor lor.. haha!! EJ leng zai woh... and they crawl crawl also same pattern. aiya, this teng is too flowery heart liao, i ask tian to see clearly, dun end up being "pao1 qi4" in the end. Astro.. after you puke in toilet hor, then pls use chlorox (1:10) to wash it, then germs can be killed.

star, an improvement to rae today. good la, like that elder kids won't get constipated too easily cause they manage to drink more fluid from cup hor. many aunties told me MUST continue using bottle otherwise bb won't want to drink milk from cup. if intro cup liao the surely duan4 nai3 (stop milk). i wonder how true it is.
 
SQ, i use paul's as starter culture. never try others before. i guess either one will do.but got baby yoplait ah? specially for bb ah?
