thought anything above 37.5 then consider fever. What to do with low grade fever? No medication, right?

you are good leh, no thermometer since birth? Sometimes when our bodies are hot, we won't be able to feel them accurately so thermometer is better lah.

Have used ribbons before, yah, not a big fan. I find it's tough to stick it on. But then again, I have self-adhesive ribbon, I don't use it much either.. :p
I realise you're a ribbon person..

I go by touch and feel literally. If the child has high fever, can tell one mah. No need thermometer I also know le. Can feel so hot, so I give Voren (or brufen) and then sponge. Err, maybe i still living in old-era.. hahah.. cos my mum also tells me last time they also never use such things like thermometer. So I dunno if want to get or not.. until now..

wah.. i come in n see the ring prediction instructions! i tried (my wedding ring like star is a platinum one). 1st 2 correct. i always felt if i hv #3, will be gal. so correct. 4th round, ring din move.

I remembered someone mentioned that for low grade fever that lasted for only a day or 2 are usually the bodies fighting some viral. It's only when the fever persists for days then need to take note.

Autum: Come to think of it.. You're right. In the olden times, there is no thermometer at home de.. See the thing with Anna is even when she has fever (can be as high as 38.5 kind), she'll still be jumping about. If we don't take her temp regularly, we may have missed it. But then again, these days whenever I hug/carry her and feel that her body is warm, I'll ask the maid to take her temp to check her temp cos the weather is not good lah.
I think you can consider buying one bhah.. Maybe get an inexpensive one..

you got the braun one ? we are using that too but think can get less than $110, we bought our fm JL when they had sales last time.

ok, actually i do own one. a super cheap one. it's Pigeon brand, but it's the type that put under arm-pit or put rectally.. and guess what, I think it doesn't work! when EJ was a baby, i used it before. But i find the temp like buay-zun.. so after a while I gave up.. and totally never use. I think by now should be spoilt liao.

see post above. haha, actually quite recently, I was very tempted to buy those expensive Braun type of thermometer when I brought EV for her first 5-in-1 vaccination.. but i procrastinated.. and guess what, EV didn't have fever in reaction to the jabs! (whereas EJ always had fever when he had jabs). So then I procrastinate further!
