Regina is running a low grade fever today. Pd can only come over tmrw. Interestingly, Regina really enjoys cold stuff... she looks so contented and comfortable whenever we put the cold towel over her head. And she doesn't mind drinking cold milk. I remember munching on tons of ice cubes towards the end of my pregnancy too. Hmm....

Whew, my in-laws finally left for home yesterday. Now we are expecting our neighbours from singapore to arrive in another few hours.

The play yard can look at WTS section, i got mine at $80 for 6 panels (Super cheap hor, hehehe). But have to do self collection hor.

Probably coz of hot weather, or maybe caught the bug from my hb. Regina is not teething and she didn't have any jabs recently. She's ok, it's a low grade fever and should resolve within a couple of days.

The pd who is seeing Regina is actually a consultant in the neonatal ward of a children's hospital here. In Italy, doctors working in hospitals are allowed to take on additional part time consultancy work. So, some doctors here get requests for assistance from friends or family. Our pd do house calls for us since we don't qualify for the local healthcare services anyway. I find it very convenient... sometimes quite paiseh, coz she only charges us Euro 50 for each visit, and everytime she pops by, it's at least an hour or more. More importantly, she speaks english!

Yah I went 1 day to Disneyland and another day to DisneySea. Actually not enough still. I have friends who spend 3-4 days at Disneyland + DisneySea, and finally had enough!

The fire started at 12.30pm! Aiyoh, so you were at home all these while. There were so many people standing downstairs your block looking up at the fire-inflicted flat cos it was closer to your block. Didn't you hear the fire engine alarm? And those firemen in uniform rushing about really looked quite cool!
Also, how come you are feeding HA for PH? Is he allergic to cow's milk? Hard to say which FM is suitable for babies. It's a trial and error thing. Also as babies grow older, it depends on what they like to drink too. Annette these days is not very interested in her NAN 2 FM, preferring instead to drink Mummy's milk. But my BM diminishing like a dried up oil well! So sad. There was a phase in Nicole's 1-1.5 years old when I had to change 4-5 brands of FM, sometimes with the entire tin only being consumed for 1-2 feeds only. Quite nightmarish.

Wow! Coincidental indeed...your girl is the same age as my girl and your boy is the same age as my 2nd girl! Next time if you come to our gatherings, can bring your girl along, then Nicole will have a companion! How many kids do you have?

I'm born in 1973, so just one year younger than you. Don't worry, so many of my friends had their first kid in their mid 30s, and then subsequently came up with 2-3 children before they are 40!!

It's interesting you were mentioning munching on plenty of ice cubes towards the end of your pregnancy! I had that craving too, sadly, this craving stayed on till today! So I am quite addicted to munching on ice cubes, which is not that bad actually, considering they are just water, hee hee. So Annette also loves cold stuff, perspires so easily and in voluminous amounts, and she loves to be hidden in air-con rooms and shopping centres!

Aiyoh, how you make sure no 3 will be a girl? I also had been thinking of no 3 lately, but in my case, I hope that it will be a BOY. Actually I personally have zero gender preference, but my hubby had been saying we 3 girls are forming a secret alliance against him, so he dearly wishes for a boy, keke. However, I am very scared of being pregnant again, cos Annette's pregnancy was fraught with constant bleeding till 7 months, plus I had quite a bad haemorrage after birth cos my uterus refused to contract, so am very worried about these aspects.

there are methods to improve your chance of getting boy/girl.. quite accurate for me. So far the 4 pregnancies I had the 1st two resulted in MC 3 and 4 were okay so shouldn't be that problem a 5th time around.

hai..as usual so many posting to catch up. today, bb tx fell fr our bed and landed flat on the floor. her left side of her cheek red red, other then that, she was ok. dunno how she fell leh....

usually, we will place her on our bed after her morning feed. hai...this morning at 11am (just woke up 20mins ago), when I was at the kitchen washing the cup and also prepare to eat some bread. then, heard a scream. I rushed back to the bedrm and saw hubby carried her and hug her closely. she was crying. I asked hubby what happened and how bb tx fell. he said he dunno and was too tired sleeping and dunno why he was so sleepy.wow piang, I am much more sleepy than him but no choice I got to get up early to eat something cos need to pump another 1hr+ mah. I told hubby that bb tx shd not be able to flip thr cos before I got out of the bed, I placed her boster and her bean pillow beside her and then she was still sleeping to the extreme left side (not even in the middle of the bed) just beside hubby only. bb tx even slp sideway facing hubby. hubby said he saw bb tx trying to flip and then he just removed the bean pillow and then he doze off. hai...this man...

hubby carried her, she cried non-stop then I took over, she is ok & stop crying. think she got a fright out of it. so I examined her her legs, hand, body and head, no red red loh. thks god man...she did not landed on her head.

but recently, her milk intake decrease, dunno why. also, she refuse or have hard time trying to make her drink with bottle loh except early in the morning. got to spoon feed her milk.

Hm, care to share those gender methods? I read somewhere that it has something to do with the diet of the father plus the days before or after ovulation in which we are TTC. ;)

Aiyoh, TX is still sleeping on the bed with you and hubby? Better let her sleep on the cot or else, all migrate to the floor! Even if the bed is well barricaded, babies these age will find some ways to crawl or flip off the barriers somehow....especially if it's just bolsters or pillows, because now they have the strength to roll the bolster off.

Hope TX is fine now, and did not have too much a scare. *Sayang TX*

just some qns to ask,
1) wondering will yr bb so sticky to you (mummies) only whenever bb is at home or go to a new envirnoment?

my bb tx will scream(cry badly) when we went to in laws hse. when hubby carrying her, her hawk eye will kept on follow me whenever I go.

when she dun see me, she will cry. so pumping milk session is like war. past 2 sat, had already delay 3hrs but haa...ss milk increase but dun really felt so engorged till drip leh.

now, bb tx strange anxiety is ok but compare to 2 wk ago. when she is on bus or along at coffeshop, when strange smile or talk to her, she just stare hard and then no response. last time, she will cry.

2) wondering why bb tx milk decrease? how is the feeding interval for yr bb?

I have told my mum dun need to fix to 3hr scheuler cos nowsdays bb tx not so hungry esp in the afternoon, her intake of food is lesser.

3) any mummies still apply ru yu oil on bb's tummy?

4) any mummies still give jin feng shan to bb?

5) do yr bb cranky before slp?

Today, I went to mum and babes sale, wow piang, tot it is near iMM but hor, walk abt 2-3 bus for 20 mins stop from IMM loh after I alighted

fr IMM with hubby and bb tx. nothing much to buy, a lot of soft toy and shoes. I only bought the medela 2 tube and a funnel. wow piang,

cost me $43.60. the tube *((*^%% so ex cost $15 each.

my mum bought bb tx new clothes and do some nice nice pillow, cushion etc for her...ai-yo grandma always dotes on bb. even my mil also bought toys etc...

no lah, bb tx only slp with me and hubby after her first feed over the weekend. yup, have let her consume the jin feng shan every sun. in between her eyes, there a bit greenish, think she scared quite often.

yup, to make sure no3 is a boy or gal, food play a impt part. I read fr the magazine that dunno if eating more acidic or alakine food will

contribute to having gal or boy. forgot liao. another thing is having a gal much more difficult and more effort is required (deep peneration) cos female sperm will be weaker and die easily than male

sperm which is stronger(meaning that Sperm carrying X-chromosomes lives longer and swims slower than male Y-carrying sperm.). read also

dunno how true is it, Ovulation Calendar allows you to choose the gender of your baby.eg, for better chance of conceiving a girl, plan to make bb 2-4 days prior to ovulation and the closer to ovulation you make bb, the better the chances are of having a boy.

on sat, when I was home alone with bb tx, I took bb tx ard the neighbourhood with the stroller man...on the other hand, can treat it as a

form of exercise, long time never exercise. bb tx is happily sitting in the stroller but when I reached home, she doze off. haa...she always like that after outing.

afcai..oh no..but luckily fell on cheek..should have some cushioning there! :p maybe tx is teething so no apetite? i am really not looking forward to this teething thing... the panel got suction at the bottom, must press down, i think when i frist set up din press down to 'activiate' sunction then kate lie down next to panel and using one hand just push it away!!!! about 60cm tall. but one thing is tat quite few holes so in the end quite stuffy inside the play yard. different brand diff size, the one i am talking abt is from haenim.

kate is also cranky before sleep..i think bcos she is sleepy but wana play (not sleepy enuf to fall asleep)

Haiyo, I just got the play yard from Cheong Choon leh.... it's $110, luckily only $9 difference if not I sure very sim tia one.... couldn't wait cos JT kept rolling/creeping off the bumper mat.

Poor tx, last time I also used to put JT on the bed after her 1st feed on weekends while I pump milk. But if hb is very sleepy, i would still sit next to her so that she won't roll off the bed. Now they are very fast, better be a bit more kiasu. But luckily tx is ok.

in the studio that time 2wks sat ago still cant sit well. after that day she can sit steadily liao. at my mom hse over the wkend, she cried in the MN then very fast sat up & cry on bed. my mom cant even got time to pat on her back to let her slp back as she aldy Seated.

Isit he stage now recognising pple liao? If she is lidat I will be very tired, cos cant go toilet, cant bathe, cant do things liao.</font>

monitor ur bb these few days if she hv vomiting, fever or swollen on her fell area. Dun worri. shld be fine one. cos i am the only WORST mommy here who let my bb fell from bed many times. My gal action is too fast liao. 1 sec dun see only she aldy feel dwn liao. she even hv her 5th fell from bed & hit onto OSIM Isqueeze & hv her Ba-ru-ku. but recovered within 4days lar.

any mommies already grinding ur own ikan bilis/silver fish for bb? the silver fish that i got like very saltish leh..compared to my sis' ikan bilis..are silver fish more saltish in general than ikan bilis? And my grinder cannot make it very very fine ..not sure if its the grinder or is it becos i dry fry instead of baking in oven (cos no oven at home).. sighh..my sis said might be too coarse for bb..sighh....

Ya I made my own ikan bilis powder using silver fish. I wash wash n wash n still qute salty. Think must soak overnite n keep changing water. But my mum say silver fish is more salty dunno true or not. Am going to buy bigger ikan bilis to try this wknd. I also fry leh but I fry with abit of olive oil as this will provide bb with some omega oil. Then I grind until powder v fine one. If not fine enuff scared will irritate bb's throat when swallowing.

Lil, thanks. Think I will use ikan bilis next round instead of silver fish since its confirmed more saltish. As for the grinding, no choice hope its not irritating for my bb else I have to borrow my sis' grinder liao.. my grinder is new whatsmore!

Denise nw oso will cry n scream when I dun carried her if she sees my presence. Its a happy problem but at times can b stress. She nw under my parents care. ydy she dun wan my dad to carry her. I hd to ren xin n let her cry when dad carried cos we worried when we go hm my parents can't handle. After 10mins I surrendered cos she cried until voice hoarse.

roo, yes the ikan bilis is for the calcium... i think its the same as cooking porridge with ikan bilis just that i was thinking of she eat the whole thing she gets more calcium than if we let the calcium of the ikan seeps into the porridge :p

any mummies alredy place their bb on walker?
these 2 wk, bb tx dun seem to like to be on walker. when I placed her on walker and let her play with the music on the walker, she kept on opening her arms and want to be hug. she also cries. if I told her wait for me while I go and get sometimes, she will cry louder and then out of depression, she will 'run' with the walker and chase after me.

but hor, when she sit on the walker at my mum 's plc, she dun scream leh. she is happily running ard the hse. dunno why loh...

hmm..thks for sharing yr view on the qns I posted. bb tx still cannot sit so steady, a slight movement, she will topple down. if she stay still, she can sit.

1) re: sticky to mummy issue: wow, after confinement u brought Selinna out liao. for me, I confine at home for abt 4 mth, the only time I went out is my gar first jab and then followed by my in laws 's hse which is within the same estate.

hmm..but if u go other ppls' hse, if ppls carry Selinna, will her eye follow u?

2) re: decrease in milk supply: yr gal consume only 60ml of milk which is consider quite low.

3) re:ru yu oil: my mum always apply on her belly button there after bath twice per day. she applied a lot one. ai-yo, told her it will be very strong for bb tx's tummy but she still do that.

ru yi oil sold at Zheng zhong medical hall only $1.70 compared to other places which sells at $1.90.

4) re:Jin feng shan: wow, do she consume a lot. for me, bb tx consume a teaspoon once a wk and I just applied on her gum.

5) re:cranky bb: yup, bb tx if pass bedtime, she will be cranky.

ai-yo, mentioning abt the plastic piano, bb tx slam it and then part of the piano already broken. so her piano are pasted with masking tape. poor piano.

that's what my bb tx did now, making me so busy, even go toilet or away for a while, she will cry. hai...even when hubby carry her at home, her eyes kept on hawking me and then when I came closer, both her hand and body will auto lean twd me meaning that she wan me to carry. I told hubby at least he must go down to my mum'plc once a wk to play with bb tx while I was pumping or else bb tx when carry her home on fri, she dun wan daddy liao.

er..I try once to sit beside bb tx while pumping milk but then accidently knock my ebm off and all over the bed. wow piang...then 80ml are gone. faintz....so on sat, when hubby not ard, I will put her on her rocking chair next to me while I pump in the kitchen.

it's no joke if bb TX should fall again.

from time to time, meg will cry if stranger carry her and her eyes will search for me.
like Jen, i also take her out alot, even during confinement.

I dare not put Cae on my bed after his fall last wk...the pd said tat as long as there is no fits, lethargy or vomitin durin the lst 24hrs...it shld b fine...otherwise u wil hv to rush yr bb to the er of the nearest hospital...

1) wondering will yr bb so sticky to you (mummies) only whenever bb is at home or go to a new envirnoment?
Cae has no stranger anxiety...n he is not sticky to anyone...

2) wondering why bb tx milk decrease? how is the feeding interval for yr bb?
Cae's milk intake has also decreased sine 5 mths...sometimes he drinks oni 100ml...

3) any mummies still apply ru yu oil on bb's tummy?
I stopped after my confinemt...

4) any mummies still give jin feng shan to bb?

5) do yr bb cranky before slp?

I brot Cae to the physiotherapist last wk...guess I jus hv to exercise his ankles for 6 wks...

Any mummies dread cookin semi solid for their bbs...I guess Im one terrible mummy to dread tat...

so glad to know that you are feeling happier. can understand how you must have felt. i hope this is a passing phase for you and you won't feel like this again. indeed, i think you're very positive and self-helping since you mentioned counselling if need be.

today brought nat for her 6-in-1 jab. it is way overdue. dr said her weight in the 50th percentile and height in the 90th percentile. never realised that she's tall for her age coz i think she's still quite chubby... on the other hand, dr said jared is in the 10th percentile coz at 2 years old, he is only 10.7kg...

my jared fell off the bed last time and scared the shit out of us coz his nose bled. don't take this lightly. i think it's not a fantastic idea for her to sleep with you all. even if they can't flip/crawl over the pillows, they can kick it away now. with the pillow kicked off, there's space to roll off bed.

up till now, i've not cooked more than 5 times for my son... you're not the only one who dreads it.

you know wat? up till now, i've yet to receive that pink bee swimsuit i bought. the BP person said it must have been lost in the mail.

I'm like you. Dread cooking. So I only give my son those Heinz bottled food or instant cereal. Was wondering if the nutrients will be lesser???Anyone read/ heard that such food is no good for bb??

My cousin grew up on Heinz bottled food only n he went to Imperial College n is now a successful engineer. So evidence tat no harm was done rite

Books do say tat nutrients r less in bottled foods but as long as they r still drinking milk, think is ok.

Sigh, in a foul mood from last evening.... My HP was pickpocketed at causeway point!! When I was paying at coldstorage, I noticed the zip of my laptop bag was opened. I didn't take much notice cos I tot I was the one who forgot to zip it back. But later when I tried to call hubby on the mrt, then I realised that I had lost my HP!!! Boo-hoo!!! The thief is really cheapskate lor... its such a worthless SE K700i, why does he/she bother to steal it?!?!! But I really sim tia all the contacts in the SIM card.... boo hoo!!

But I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Singtel's service. When I called to report loss of my HP, I realised they can courier my SIM card to me FOC today.... wow quite impressed leh.... anyway, took MIL's old Nokia HP just to tie over lah.... will go HP shopping this weekend.... haiz....

And hor, my JT got eczema flare again.... this time even her face got it quite bad....aiyo dunno if its the carrots that I fed her over the weekend, or because we brought her to chinatown/people's park tat day and it was too hot.... but I've decided to stop the carrots 1st.... and it's back to steroids!!! haiz...

Fizz/Decbb/Alabone
Up till now, I've only prepared spinach, carrots and avocado for JT, on top of the heinz rice cereal. I dun mind the prep part actually, cos its quite easy and fast. But I dun really like washing her bib/hanky after feeding cos its really yucky :p

how's the playyard? good or not? Was thinking maybe i rent to see if it can "hold in" hannah before i buy...haha! Lately Hannah pulls herself up in the cot, looking out like a prisoner lidat, licking on the railing...so funnee!

*sayang* aiyoh, poor thing...ya, it's not the value of the phone but the contacts in the sim card that's sim tia. I think now with all the crowds at GSS etc, more pickpockets around...must be careful.

abalone is rite...pillows not safe to keep bb in. Hannah crawls over pillows and cushions and whatever's in her way. Nowadays she will pull herself up in the cot.

Playard is very gd.. that's why it increase in value. Mine appreciated in value from $90 to $110( current selling price). It is very sturdy and can keep toddling bb's in. Also easy to dismantle and less place needed to keep it as compared to playpen. I use my Thomas mat and another soft mat as "flooring" for it. Also u can attach lots of other toys to the "grills" of it.
Easy to clean also.

my hubby and I took leave yesterday to hang out together and it was great. Haven't spent any couple time on our own for a long time.

sorry to hear that your phone was stolen. I don't think carrots will cause eczema flare up, more likely the heat. Sometimes heat also cause Nicole great discomfort.
