Hubby tinking of staying a 3day 2nites hotel for Ivan's 1 year old birthday...(ya stil 6mths to go) we look ard like not much choices..cos we have stayed most of the nicer ones.....we narrowed to rasa sentosa.pan pac n conrad...

do you grind your own rice and other ingredients? i don't have the food processor to do it at home. i know you have to wash the rice and ikan bilis etc and dry them before you grind them. well, i'm not hardworking anyway since i'm working. so will buy those ready made ones. anyway, will graduate to porridge rather quickly la, its ok. : )

as for new rice, just see that on the packaging its stated 'new crop' will do. there are a few brands. it looks exactly the same as your normal rice.

anyone out there into organic foods for the family?

maybe u try other bland foods like potato, avocado etc. better dun jump 2 'tastier' food just 2 make hannah eat lah. she doesn't need e food 4 nutrients now, but 2 cultivate gd eating habits. later taste tasty food taste bud spoil liao then jia lat. i guess most bbs here like potatoes.... but hor, at least 4 kate, mandy n natacia, avo nt so appetising! hehehe...

hubby read fr e net, once start solid, bb has 2 drink bt 60ml o water everyday. i'm trying my best 2 spoon feed her. takes a lot o patience tho. now i just pour water into her mouth fr e cup! hehehe..

yesterday dun feel like working so took 1 day leave.. :p morning at in laws place.. den afternoon went shopping at lunch time to buy a blood pressure monitor for MIL.. aft tt went southpoint collect Nan milk sample.. :p den went make a pair of new specs.. wah.. cost me $380 for a pair of 1.67 high index specs at spectacle hut.. got a bad feeling tt i'm being chopped...

I went last night, and nepia is OSS...nepia selling at $14 there... nt really veri cheap right? they extending offer till end of the mth and its applicable for delivery.

u ladies got try the TCM massage? quite good $10 for 10 mins massage, 10min spinal adjustment and a consultant session with the TCM doctor.. now my hubby bugging me to go for TCM treatment.. which i dun totally reject cos he is paying for my massages haha but see how la.. dun like taking those chinese med.

and that silly John little warehouse sale.. how can they dun have the baby stuff??? I went with the intention to stock up the baby wipes and baby toiletries... wasted...

Ladies, wanna check... nowadays belle seems to be waking up more often in the night.. crying but eyes closed.. give her milk then she will drink...like last night, she nursed at around 12, 2+ and then at 5+ again... first time since she was 6 weeks that she woke up sooo many times.

is it sign that she is not full enuff from the milk? shd i still wait till she is 6mths old??

that is a sign she wants fooodieee! glorious fooodieee! i also couldn't wait even though talia ann wasn't waking up at night but she was waking up earlier and earlier. i gave her her first foodie when she was 5 mths 3 weeks old!

Ladies who wanna stock up Nepia..

Don't go too late, most of the sizes were OOS when i bought them around 7pm.

I bought 2 packs of XL pants diapers, $14 per pack, but buy 1 pack will free extra 4 pieces of the same size/type.

Yesterday when I bought left only NB and XL ones..

Will be going today also. Coz my boy waste a lot of his mum's diaper $$. He is wearing diaper pants most of the time liao. Imagine, 1 pant bout 50-60 cents..

Really enjoyed the adventure to the motherhood fair yesterday, although there's nothing much to buy lah!
CF, err... luckily your hubby wasn't around to see how I tortured his car :p But I was telling my hubby I am quite proud of myself, cos the car didn't stall even once, although I haven't drove a manual car in 3 years!

Tape diapers tends to cut into his thighs... and if we tape it loosely, will leak.. even though it's Mamy Poko.

Pants diaper never leak so far and doesn't really cut into his thighs..
 
hi Fizz...wat's the fear of being home alone with bb for too long? its not so bad....i absoulutely enjoy the time together....maybe its b'cos i work and by the time i reach home, he's asleep. i guess you can say i'm lucky that he sleeps before 7.30pm. but miss playing wif him lor! since yr bb not drinking as much, start solids la.... its a good sign. : ) bb sian of the milk liao.
i'm lazy, won't process my own bb food, will just buy instant ones. later on i'll be more hardworking to make it up wif porridge. : )

qianhui, maybe you wanna try fitti's tape diaper. i last time use for my ger, its not too ex and does the job well. : )

i was lucky to have my mum take care of #1 from day 1. trust me i didn't need to lift a finger! now i take care of my bb from day 1 till 3 months old and leave him wif my maid. cruel hor? hee hee....no choice la. its not that difficult la. everyone learns a little along the way. you'll all manage!
 
choo, some bb are just not bah bah one la... as long as they are healthy, its enuf. soem bb drink little bit of milk will also 'pong nee' one... dun worry too much. : )

Hannah took to the flight and travelling very well. She is ok with the cold weather too except that her cheeks got red and dry at Blue Mountains. Once we got back to Sydney, her cheeks healed....very fast...wish my skin as good as hers! We let her wear 3 layers - a romper (short sleeve), long sleeve shirt and sweater. Pants is 2 layers. Then hat (cos she botak) and mittens. She is healthy...no cold etc etc...praise God!

We brought our own pram and booked taxis with baby car seats when we took cabs (which wasn't often at all). No extra charge for those taxis. All in all travelling with Hannah was easy...it's like normal (in Singapore), just that we hv to pack more stuff...and we overpack a bit! heehee!

I think Oz is one of the easiest places to bring baby to in terms of easy to manuover pram, food, diapers, etc etc. Plus, almost everyone stopped us to coo at her, tell us how cute she is, play with her (even on the bus!)...

I have 2 sticks (120ml) of S26 Gold Step 1 which I bot in Sydney. There were 5 sticks in a pack, i used 3...cos I ran out of formula and had to try Hannah out on new formula...fortunately, she not fussy so we bot a big tin of S26...hence, left 2 sticks. If u want, PM me.

Australia hv limited brands of diapers and formula milk. I used Huggies diapers and S26 as well as Johnson baby wipes when I was there. I booked a hotel with kitchenette and a cottage when we were there...so preparing food for hannah was a breeze.

You can request for Wyeth samples at this website www.wyethnutrition.com.sg but they won't give samples for S26 cos its a regulation not to give free samples for 0-6mths. But you can request for promil that's for 6-12 mths.

yup, it's a WHO guideline that no advertisement allowed for FM of 0-6mth to encourage breastfeeding. Singapore adopts this guideline as well

no lah, normally, will take 1 or 1/2 leave on fri or thur to rest weekly cos super tired during wkday esp slp only 4-5hr only. also gd that I can pump at home and dun need to transport all current day milk to my mum'plc when I fetched my little missy. but in the evening time, I still need to pump one more round at my mum'plc.

hmm tg pagar loh...which fm yr boy is drinking? u can try to get nestle - nan 2 free sample for yr boy loh since nestle office is located near tg pagar.

oic, then u will pass by clementi mrt station loh since u will need to transfer train at JE, am I right? maybe can meet u during wkday (dunno what time u knock off). I will reach clementi at ard 0615-0620pm.

wow...so many bb borned on 8 dec huh..tot only 5, welcome to the dec 08 born bb club. so there are TOTAL 6 mummies here. maybe we shd have a grp photos if all of u are gg to the dec party.

however, there is a common thing among us except Hwee, all our bb are gar.so hwee's boy (tim) is among the roses.
