. My boi only upgraded to 150ml every 2-3hrs recently and alway waste milk.

Jovey's milk intake cannot compare to yr SIL Philson . Even though i make 150ml hor, he will leave behind 20-30ml each time. Than i will alway tell him "Dont waste milk milk, must finish otherwise girlfriend not pretty lor

Actually I only been there twice after I came back from my maternity leave hee...
I tried the chicken rice and western food. Tot it was quite a gd buy $2 and $4 respectively. My office canteen 'zha cai fan' min $2.30 but all vegetables ma chaim swimming in oil!
Have to go out for lunch and fresh air after working 12 years here!

eh, i saw new rice in ntuc b4. tink they can be found q easily lah. u wanna grind urself ar? i tot ur nanny feeding kate brown rice? is kate taking her sweet potato liao? n haf u started on avocado? i decided 2 delay avocado 4 a while. cos mandy can't eat much solid yet. avo cannot b frowzn n must b eaten fresh. then so ex! so i dun wanna waste $. i wanna go 2 cauliflower next, but v lazy 2 use e blender. wanna hold off fruits until much later, cos they're sweet.
btw, i've 2 go ard telling everybody mandy's a premmie cos they all look so shocked when i say she's 5 mths (now 6 lah). even when i said she's a premmie, they still look at her in disbelief. n yes, i've frequent guesses o , 2 mth, 3 mth...

haf a prob. ever since mandy started semi-solids, she's been pooing every 3-4 days when she cld poo twice a day b4. then after 2 days o no poo-ing, she'd b q cranky, esp at nite. she won't b able 2 fall asleep by herself n wld cry n cry. happened twice. then after poo-ing, she'd b sooooo happy. then lie on e bed immed sleep liao.. haiz....like so uncomfy.... she just pooed yest, so we're prepared 4 her 2 turn cranky in 2 to 3 days time...

Nowsday oso very difficult to get Denise to finish her milk. Have to sing, swing n feed. Each feed needs 3 instalments.

At times, she oso left 20-30ml of milk. She is drinking 120ml - 140ml every 3-4hrs ard 6-7feeds a day

my parents said solid food is heaty even rice cereals. Have to give more water during feed. Last wk Denise having swollen gum (think gg teething) so we stop giving her.
My fren told me tat oats is recommended for bb above 7mths cos more difficult to digest. I think Mandy cld b hv'g consitpation. Mayb can make the semi-solid food more watery?

OIC.. For my case, my hubby is the O shape.. So everyone will ask how come u getting rounder and rounder.. Hahaha..

I notice that my gal's intake varies.. There are times when she will finish 130ml of milk, there are also times when she will leave behind 10-20ml. Sometimes 130ml also nt enuf for her.. Strange hor.. I tot of asking my maid to upgrade, give her 140ml and monitor her intake ley.. Bt hor if everytime got leftover, i will be sim tia one..

Maybe the cereal cos some "heatiness" in her body tats y she poos less often. Must give her plenty of water, otherwise can give those heinz fruit juice?

Hi ladies,

Tat time hubby n me eating KFC, give him milk he dun want, make so much noise.

So I eat the gravy part of the mashed potatoe, then Ace eat some of those non-gravy part lor..

Ace seemed to like eating things, but he made those facial expression as if he is eating sour lemon..

He will only hold the bottle which contain plain water and drink from it.

To him, milk bottles are meant for pushing away.

Ya lor, thot of buying some baby bottle food from IMM later.
I'm so slow, most of you dunno feed semisolid for how long liao and now then only I'm about to slowly start..

thx 4 e advise. nearly wanted 2 stop giving her solids yest cos she like so cham. but then she pooed so cont e solid n she was sooooo happy. my hubby chked e net. he said w solid, bbs must drink bt 60ml o water daily. now i slowly feed her spoon by spoon lor, since she still dun take bottle (i tried again yest!). heng she likes water!

It seems like most of u hv intro semi solid to yr bbs...my pd recommended tat I delay the intro as late as possible...as my bb is stil on partial bm...

My bb intake has reduced drastically over the past 2 wks...previously...he was able to finish 180ml to 200ml of milk...now he either latches on for 10mins or finishes oni 60ml to 100ml of milk...Im so worried n helpless...does any bb go thru tis phase...for latching mummies...how long does yr bb latch?

oats r quite heaty, maybe feed her less oats? see if she still poos infrequently? my mum made madeleine some barley water to try, she said it's good if baby becomes heaty fr eating solids wor.

aiyo, speaking of eating solids, today, we started feeding madeleine porridge using new rice. terribly jialat. she was fighting us like we were going to insert her nose stent or something. hands all over the place, head turning here n there. grabbed the bowl n tried to turn it over, then grabbed the spoon n push it away with all her might. jialat. in the end, i think onli 3 spoonful touched her mouth after half an hr. really wish we hv rice cereals, so that it wun be so much trouble to prepare so little porridge.

Soooo many gorgeous photos of all the babies, and all look chubby chubby!

Alabone, I might bring my 5 year old Nicole as well...she can help to babysit some of the bbs, although she is very LOUD, keke.

I have not really started Annette on solids except for the brown rice milk, but that's through bottle. So, think I better start hunting around the supermarkets for elusive and highly sought after rice cereals! Sounds like Heinz is good but like so hard to find. Didn't use to be the case during Nicole's time leh.

Mommies who started babies on porridge - what did you guys add inside the porridge?

Feed by spoon not that bad.. use the small chinese soup spoon. Roy down water faster that way then drinking from a bottle ( he still hates the bottle). I have let him try the dispoable straw but he can't suck from it as yet. May try a straw bottle for him next month.

Those mummies mention that by 3rd mth BB should double their birth weight. But individual BB grow at their own rate. So it only a guidline, so long Ivan is healthy and active that weight doesnt really happen

i hv started jav on porridge tis week. My pd say can giv porridge already. he even told mi can put fish, meat, vege inside.
So far, we added fish, papaya n potato in the porridge.
this week, his appetite seems to b back. he can sit there guai guai, eating his porridge.
last 2 weeks was a nitemare.. feeding him was like fighting a battle. i tink tat time his gum itchy.. but so far haven seem any whitish tingy on his gum leh..

sianz hor, heinz rice cereal is Out of Stock whole islandwide.. I hav another food to recommend to u gals. "Si Sen brown rice" i also give jav to eat tat when he was 4th mth plus. veri nutrients.

Thanks for the info on the Eubos bath oil. I am using the sebamed bath oil recommended by PD. Haiz.... I conclude using whatever products also won't help if she is hot lah. Yesterday went to get her from MIL's place. Her WHOLE body covered with red patches. And she scratched the leg until bleed. So heart-pain. I buay tahan on air-con for her when she wanted to sleep, MIL makes so much noise again.... then hubby told MIL JT has been sleeping in air-con every night lah, what's the big deal, then she bo bian and said "nowadays babies really different hor... where got babies sleep in air-con one... will catch a chill". She is really stubborn lor.... it's so hot nowadays even I feel like having heatstroke inside the house, how to catch a chill?!?? haiz....

JT not yet 5 mths, but at 4.5mths, she's still 500g away from doubling her birth wt, so I dun think she can double her birth wt at 5mths.... I want to care also cannot care liao lah.... have to see open and accept the fact that the chubby heavyweight baby that I gave birth to is somewhat not growing well

No more Heinz rice cereals ah??! alamak JT will only be started in >1mths time. Hopefully it'll be back in stock then.

aiyo.. scratch until so jialet ah.. very poor thing leh.. sometimes in laws thinking really different fr us hor.. we brought PH go swim swim.. FIL kept saying tt PH will catch a chill, get scared etc etc.. hai~~ den tues i carry PH n sit in front of comp for less than 5min he came n start saying radiation bad for bb etc... tues say liao.. wed repeat to hb again...

last night he feeding PH.. comment tt bb sucking too slow.. i told him it's bcoz he covered the ventilation part.. aft he pull out the teat abit to allow ventillation, PH was drinking so fast.. he still say it's slow... PH usually take 15min to 30min to complete mah.. which i think is okie lor.. hai~~ always got a feeling tt he feel tt wat i buy for PH is not gd.. coz he comment b4 tt the NUK teats not gd.. too small.. avent better.. big big teat so PH drinks faster.. where got this theory one...

tt time PH won't even want to touch avent teat.. onli when we change to nuk then things got better... den since last night till this morning, FIL treat me invisible.. say hi n bye to him he ignore totally.. hai~~ alot more to complain.. but better dun write liao... else will be endless..

I read from somewhere in the mag that acc to the bb guidebk, bb below 6mth cannot eat the following:
- barley
- bran
- Farina
- oatmeal
- Rye
- Semolina
- Wheat

cos they are gluten containing foods and may cuase allergic reactions, including gastrointestinal problems in infants.

in addition, food to be avoid till age of 1 yr are:
- egg whites
- Nuts
- shell fish
- Citrus fruits and juices
- berries
- tomatoes
- cow's milk


at the age of 1 yr, avoid food that may be more diff to digest are:
- cucumbers
- onions
- cabbage
- broccoli
- cauliflower


Till the age of 4 yrs, avoid foods that are likely to cause choking:
- Nuts & peanuts
- Grapes
- seeds
- raw carrots
- popcorn
- hot dogs
- hard candies
