these few days, PH discovered a new way of communicating to us.. SCREAM! happy? scream.. angry? scream.. hungry? scream.. tired? scream.. aiyo.. so paiseh when i bring him out..

think PH could be teething leh.. kept crying tonight.. onli stop when i massage his gum n give him his teether.. poor boy.. can see tt he tired liao but unable to sleep.. got to rock him for half an hour b4 he finally slept...

Kimi, you may be right she is from a f...ked up family, she seem to be kinda bitter from the way she talked...maybe bitter after seeing so many families outside but she is alone with her son.

Berry, exersaucer quite a number of places have, robinsons is one of them. Think Toy Rus Us also have...recently thought of buying the exersaucer as Evee just like to stand, sit down will keep crying...but very ex leh...and most likely close shop already after Evee so like not worth it to buy now. U confirm going to buy? If yes, Robinsons having sale soon.

JT is having the same problem as PH. Keep screaming at a high pitch voice. My dad says she is having jian1 jiao4 hui4 (like those teenage fans screaming at their idol ) Yesterday brought her to Borders, she kept screaming at a high pitch voice, even when I was carrying her. So paiseh cos everyone looking at me, but can't leave cos hubby queueing at the cashier. haiyo.... if she continues to be like tat, I dun dare to bring her out so often liao leh.....

My bb monitor is Philips Dect. My dad bought it last year at the philips warehouse sale. Heard from my fren dun buy the normal analog one cos reception not so good. Actually with the bb monitor, its as good as bb in my room, cos I can even hear her suck her thumb at nite. Its ex lah, but I feel its one of the most useful gadgets that we have. Cos during the day, we can also on the aircon for her, and we go do our own things outside in the kitchen.

Talking abt parents not disciplining children.... I really dun understand these parents, do they seriously think its ok for their kids to hit other pple's kids. I am sure if other kids hit their own kids, she will flare up one. Think I will suan her by talking to my kids, saying some pple dunno how to discipline their children, so no choice I have to help them discipline lor....
When we went borders yesterday, the books at the babys section were all strewn on the floor. Everytime I am there, its the same. I dunno wat type of parents would allow their children to do that. If they sit on the floor and read, have to ensure the children put the books back where they found it, or if the children are too young, the parents should put the books back. I really dunno wat's wrong with Singaporean parents nowadays, isn't this basic discipline for children?

that woman is crazy. u r so good natured, sat there when she was scolding u all. should hv whipped out ur phone n recorded her hurling abuses at u n hb. then record her son kicking ur older ger n molesting evee.

i was in kk n once there was this boy who was disturbing madeleine too while we were eating lunch in delifrance. started with snearing faces n he was approaching to hit madeleine liao, all bcos madeleine had tapes on her face due to her cleft. his mum din say a word. i turn around n stared at the boy in the most withering stare i could. like the ice queen in chronicles of narnia. stared n stared until he slithered back to his seat. he tried giving a defiant evil grin, but i din care, glared at him some more.

Wau lau.. Buay tahan.. Think some of you are really so nice leh.. QSG, you also very good tempered!!!

Me got very bad temper.. Esp, nowadays got plenty of China woman here.. Basically bout 90% of those China ppl I saw do pissful stuffs!

They are generally rude, loud speakers, and very demanding.. They can hog the queue make the Shop&Save cashier blur with their stupid questions and they have PLENTY of complains..

They come here, dun respect others and think great of themselves! Yet they are just pieces of stingy, petty, greedy ppl. They talk loudly on buses and MRTs, see a seast and chrage towards the seats and fight seats with pregnant woman (aka me that time I was preggy)

Sometimes when they step on my toes, I just tell my hubby loudly, "See.. all this China ppl, rude and irritating... and 'you(4) nian(3) pi(2) hou(4) hou(4), si(3) bu(4) hui(2) qu(4) Zhong(1) Guo(2)'"

My mum dislike China ppl alot.. Esp those cheap china ladies.. Me dun like them too, every morning I take bus to work, sure to see a lot.. China men, those kind who will push and shove to get a seat!

Think coz it's China ppl, they got limited children and tend to over pamper their kid and end up the kid becomes a spoilt brat.

Yeah, you should purposely take pic/video of her son's doings! Shoot her actions down, etc.. At least anything happens will know the reason. How could shrewd idiots like her anyhow scold other's children?

Sorry MIA for so long. Went Bkk from 1st - 5th May than came back work and work and work. Last friday took half day coz Faith down with viral fever. Now still slight feverish. And worst was on friday nite and saturday, she woke up screaming, she was right beside me, i was scared by her her...quickly call her name and calm her down. And past nites hasn't been sleeping well, Faith wants me to be by her side always...i go toilet she also make noise, go drink water she make noise....

hiyah ladies,

v vexed... sat went 2 my uncle's place 4 mum's day celebration. it's e gathering o my maternal side relatives. v noisy so mandy din get 2 sleep. naturally, she got a bit cranky. my relatives hor kept wanting 2 carry her. n they din ask, just grab one. plus they're v rough n wld pat her hard hard, talk loud loud. she got scared n cried everytime somebody else carried her. even when we insist tt it's alrite tt we carry, my mum etc wld ngeh ngeh wanna carry her (somemore, my mum was SICK!)... so o cos she cried... louder n louder...

then my mum started saying i din bring her out enof (i did bring her out lor!). i din let her sleep enof b4 coming (she slept one whole day lor...). told mum she needs a lot o sleep one. she din believe. said if i let her sleep in e afternoon, wld b enof. she oso din believe tt she's just tired n scared by e loud noises. she looked hurt when bb cried in her arms, n kept wanting 2 carry, as if to prove tt she's e expert who can calm her dn. then they started saying we carry e wrong way etc etc...
after we ate, fed mandy, we 5 5 went home 2 let her rest liao.

can c in my mum's eyes tt she felt hurt n upset n i cld oso see tt my relatives felt tt i shld haf let my mum tend 2 mandy n tt we were too protective o her. mum said 'bb cry nvm one, must let her get used to it'. but she's SCARED N TIRED!!! y shld i subject her 2 tt???

haiz... now w e bb, me n my mum (n sometimes e relatives) just seem 2 haf this invisible barrier b/w us. my mum seems hurt tt i dun want her 2 take care o bb. but she doesn't understand tt i just wanna avoid a conflict. there r too many things we disagree w. n i noe she'll b v upset when i disagree w her n she doesn't trust tt i can handle a bb myself. i noe she misses her granddaughter n i feel v sorry 4 her sometimes. but she can't help interfering. e more time they spend 2gether, e higher e chances o a conflict. i can pretend nt to notice when she's doing sthg potentially harmful 2 mandy sometimes, but nt all e time! mandy q scared o her cos she's v rough. i hinted 2 her liao but she still like tt. i wanna let them bond but i dun want conflicts or let mandy suffer... is there any way?

my mil n fil is the same. told her madeleine dun drink milk if pple r talking cos she gets distracted. told her madeleine needs to sleep in quiet environment n how she likes to be carried. but they dun get it leh. fil will talk loudly to madeleine when madeleine is sleeping or clap right in front of madeleine's face, making her startle n cry. then mil will keep harrassing the maid to pass madeleine to her, but madeleine cries once we pass her to mil. i'm also at a loss on what to do. they r bb's grandparents, so i cannot bar them fr interacting with bb, but madeleine is friendlier to strangers than to them. n cos they r such close relatives, i also dun dare to tell them off directly. i am onli fierce to small bois who bully madeleine in public, so timid in front of my in laws. sigh.

for parents and in laws smtm we cld still console ourselves its a generation gap tat we handled thg differently. I felt so angry with a family member tt (in case she is reading this forum) who touches Denise face aft wearing socks n shoes for her boy. She bounced Denise aft her feed and told her son lets go c bb bathing. And she is a U grads ( I dun mean to offend any1) Wat I wan to say its tt as for parents or in laws we cld still forgive due to their absence of knowledge. BUt for ple who r so educated n still do thg like this its really argHhhhhhhhhhhhh!

If I will ever do this to her son sure get killed!!!! Now I like my mil more than her cld u imagine tat!!

Roo, understand how you felt about that family member...seems like common sense to have clean hands before touching bbs mah esp other people's bbs. How do you respond if that family member feed your bb next time using her dirty hands? Last time i got one friend use her hands to take food for my bb when there are forks and spoons around..so strange right? not conscious at all leh..

if she practised wat she does to her boy then I gt nthg to say jus think tt she is unhygienic. BUT she will sanitise her boy's bb chair b4 makan n tt is wat she did to my ger. Her boy is 18mths liao but my ger is jus a bb leh..........

sooo many posts cant finish all.

I having headache & giddy spells & stomache leh. up till now also. all becos of saturday Laksa that i ate in the morning. Within 2hrs the effect come liao. i start feeling cold & nausea when i go watch movie with my hb @ 1030am show spiderman3. Lucky my sis comes to my hse early to help me look after my gal.
then come back home giddy. stupid hb still ask me bring him to the new relocated salon opp my hse. come back home i hv to lie str8 str8 on bed. no strenght to carry bb. i then feel very hot outside but thermometer state i no fever leh. so i took a rest then 5+pm go vomit out my laksa. aiyoo miserable leh. then waist reali aching like hell leh. like want to give birth lidat. that kind of pain. then go massage 90mins. abit relief then. then when i m having my late dinne, i hv abit uncontroable bowel lidat leh. stain my panty leh.
sun also hv mild diarhoea. Now scare of laksa liao.

june's collages (closing june 11th):
1) babies guide: why it's cool to sit up. inspired by the numerous bumbo pictures i see everyday. all pictures of babies sitting independently, supported by cushions, in bumbo, in walkers, etc r welcome. will especially like pictures of babies doing something different (e.g. sophia reading a book) or being exceptionally expressive (e.g. talia ger laughing out loud in her bumbo).

2) angry baby pictures. since babies rule our lives, let's show them at their angry n demanding best.

july's collage (due 8th july):
1) babies' guide to eating solids. quite a few mummies r waiting until 6 mth to introduce solids, so july will give everyone plenty of time to take pictures of babies eating. all pictures of babies eating solids r welcome. happy babies, disgusted with particular foods, playing with food pictures etc. let's celebrate our babies' milestone with a collage.

kimi..does ur book mention how to heat up? boil/double boil or put into a container and cook? Am trying to avoid microwave. I use a blender, and kate does not really seem to like it... maybe cos first time she got hungry halfway, 2nd time she got sleepy halfway! Its hard to find a good time for her! poor kimi...i think its good that u continue to take care of mandy..at least now u r not working u can say u got 'nothing else to do' so have to take care of mandy... i thot i rem last time u post and said that ur mom will gan cheong the moment mandy cry? why now she said must let mandy get used to crying?

choo, dont think they are uncouth deliberately, but for some, like everyone in their home country is like that, if they are more 'gentle' then they get step all over by their own pp so have to 'stand up for their own rights'. I got a china colleague, very funny, more si wen compared to the usual china pp we meet, then she will always try to avoid any mention that she is from china...

hee, i dun think any babies r sitting up by themselves. some can sit unsupported for a few minutes but that's it i think. so long as babies r by themselves, they can be in bumbo, strollers, walkers, exersaucers, supported by pillows n cushions, ok liao.

Jen, initially i did say to her that she is the one "shen jing bing" and ask her to watch her words...she just rattled on and on then i realised she those unreasonable, quarrelsome type so give up...dun wanna behave like quarrelsome woman like her and frighten my girls... i tink i am staying near you leh. You stay in Jurong right? The foodcourt i mentioned is where you have possibly went to before too. That area like alot of china people and bangladash.

Bloom, do you cook your own meals during weekends? I think i will let Evee try stuff like that during weekends so that i can use the unused portion to cook something for dinner. You can use a small bit of cooked potato for her then the rest use to make potato salad for something easier if wanna avoid wastage.
