i same same as u leh....stopped work sometime before preggy.... thought have a break first then look for another job...then later realised preggy liao... so continue staying at home.... lol..
i stopped working since mid feb last yr... also coming to 14 mths le... grow mould liao...haha
but hor... i also dun like to work type... oops...keke
u so free till nothing to do ahh? i still feel like time not enough for me to do everything leh.... haha... nvr even get to read all the newspapers yet...always accumulate for 1 wk then read... think most of the time i m surfing net...then do household chore here & there... still have not arranged all my honeymoon photos in a big photo album yet... etc etc

today pd told me can give PH puree when he's 5mths old.. told me tt PH is developmentally ready for solid liao.. but ask me to delay till 5mths den start.. hmmmmm... maybe it's a gd excuse for me to join the BP.. hahaha..

i bought him to junior league at suntec city for his haircut.. it specialise in providing haircut for kids.. very cute.. still got tv showing barney/ tom n jerry etc to catch the children's attention..
but hor, haircut cost $18 leh... aiyo... more ex than hb's haircut.. shd hav bought him to QB instead.. hahaha..

Shihui, Im thinking of buying the hand grinder too but I am considering the electric blender too. Some receipes require us to grind brown rice, grains etc.

I have been busy since stared work last wk and no time to log in to read the post. now, got to 'steal' time fr 'zhou gong'.
today, hubby and I took my gar for her 2nd jab at polyclinic. appt is 12pm but we only reached there at 1225pm and was the last patient. so it took less than half an hr for the whole issue.

didn't online for long time cos by the time when I reached hm fr mum's plc, already dead tired and slp need to steal time to slp (will slp 1hr) before my pumping session started at 12 midnite.

oic, first grandson will sure dote on him one. hmm do yr mil scare of bb cry? my mum do. same same, my mum also loves to entertain my gar(despite telling her dun need to over entertain her and let her sometimes by herself or else u kept herself(my mum) busy only) and when we went to fetch her hm on thru or fri night, I saw my gar got eye bag man...so like u, I also let my gar rest and slp as much as she can during wkend.
yup, as a parents, we sure know bb fr inside out better than other ppls. but my mum also like that say she know a lot and understand my gar's pattern which is TOTALLY untrue. my mum dun seem 'like' her cos dunno why everytime, when we brought her bck to my mum'plc (already 2 mth +) , she will screamed but not at my pil's hse.
yup, for the sake of the bb, sometime, we mummies also need to close one eye as what many of mummies stated b4. our pil or mum already kind enough and willing to look after our bb so no choice but to lower our expectation but of cos, sometimes, some thign still need to highlight it out.

hmm bf also cannot drink DOM directly mah...if drink, cannot bf for next 3 hrs loh. I only placed DOM into fish soup or steam fish loh. chiken essence dun seem to work for me.
my gar also drank abt 700-750ml per day (this mth only increase her intake to 4 oz per feed). I only told my mum to give her 4oz per feed every 3hrs. sometimes, my gar needed to feed 2.5hr. if my gar is at hse, I will give her more during her first feed but not at my mum'plc cos afraid my mum anyhow give my gar the amt of feed till my ebm run out and scared not enough to tah han for the day before I delievered the new ebm at 7pm.
today, took my gar for her sec jab, she outgrown by 4cm and 0.4kg(only 58kg) loh. wow, yr gar quite heavy than my gar.
wow, u spent really a lot in yr elder's daughter birthday party. hmm will she remember the party or not wondering...

with rdg to the flipping, my gar also not so stable. recently, since 2 wks when she flipped, she has stopped flipping. today, when bringing her to the review of doc again (cos she did not pass the neck support test last mth when she is 3mth), doc said, by 5th mth, bb will know how to flip cos some bb develop fast and so not.

maybe u try to use handichief or little toys and placed on top of yr gar to see if she tried to grab it. I do it since she is 2mth, now she can finally hold her milk bottle(she still need us to adjust the bottle up and down to allow milk flow) while hubby or I just do my own thing but of cos got come bck to monitor.

for me, I mean I will only get bck fr my mum'plc 10+ only. but my hubby will be at home after 6pm. so see when is the suitable time for u to collect the item on 25/4. of cos not so late loh.

yup, my bb is very sticky to me. only mama(me) can make her not cry loh. my mum still very scared of her screaming and she will be stressed. so that's why she alaways set her routine feed for her as she scared bb cry during hungry. ai-yo. told her leh, bb cry is normal mah, is the way ofc ommunication. yup, dunno why, bb daytime easy to handle but when night came, it is different story. my gar almost every time cry when she want to slp at nite (except today, she super gd, she on her own at playpen cos past her usual bedtime liao today, somemore, today, she gone for jab and give her pandarmol so think she felt drowsy after taking).
hmm nappy rash, how often u change yr gar diapers? maybe the diaper u use not suitable for her? my gar only has nappy rash when she use dryers.
as for yr gar's slp time, u shd set a same slp routine for yr gal. poor u that day, must be dead tired like zombie? how 's abt leaving yr gar on the bed and dun bother abt her to see if she will slp on her own. cos one of the time(during ML period), my gar woke up at 5am for feed, she still dun wan to slp till 7pm and I was dead tired. so next time, she did it again and then i just leave her on her bed and she suck her finger till she slp on her own. I dun bother her.
me also till now, pants and jeans still unable to button up. sad sad man...still got a little tummy loh. my frenz told me that it might take a yr to slim down. her son turned 1 yr old this mth and she still got 3kg to shed.
me alos cheapo one, dunno long time never buy clothes liao. anyway, still got so many clothes in my wardobe (hubby complaint that so many clothes and my clothes occupied so many wardobe).
yup, for bb 's clothes, in future, will buy those 3 for $10 one at pasar malam or those neighbourhood shop which sells bb stuff. they also got lot of pretty pretty clothes mah.
is the brown rice powder like cereral form? wow, quite ex. but last time, my mum also told me that when I was young, I also eat that.

Ladies thinking of buying the Munckin food grinder,if you are thinking of using it to make fine puree for bb, the texture that comes out may not be what you expected. For fine puree, you got to use a electric blender. I have friends who said the grinder not easy to remove the blade and wash but if you bringing it for travel, it will come in handy when bb still take food in small pieces. I use a philips cucina blender for puree and i also have a mini blender i use to mince raw meat.

anyone thinking of freezing the blended food? i dun feel nice freezing the food n ration them for 1 week leh.. feels tt bb shd eat fresh food.. of coz will prefer now prepare now eat.. but since i working, most prob will prepare a day before... den next day bring to in laws..

Must go n change the diaper, see bei wu hua leh, yesterday i went to AMK to change. Wow, I got 12 pcs M size n 6 pcs L n 3 pcs XL leh, of cos lah, I use Renise n Reyna's birth cert, but with 1 pc of diaper can change 12 pcs of M size leh. I like so happy like tat. hee hee.

we only bought the hospitalisation plan from NTUC didn't get any incomeshield.
munckin grinder not v.gd I've got a mini blender called U-like from isetan. abt $50 can grind both wet n dry stuff n come with attachment to make fruit juice/ milkshakes. Easy to wash. and can make small portion for 1-2 feed 4 bb.

doggiebb, my friend who has it used it to grind cooked food to feed her girl when outside, not sure if it can be used to grind raw meat. The texture may not not be fine enough for weaning babies. In my opinion, for raw meat is better to use electric ones.
Shihui, for FTWM unless the caregiver prepares everything if not would be better to have some frozen food in freezer. Last time i freeze fruit and veggie cubes. Would be very time consuming and tiring to prepare everyday if din do in batches. I will cook the porridge and dump in the frozen veggie cube last.

According to the superbaby food, we can make vegetable cubes and freeze them.
The recommended vegetables are sweet potatos, long beans, broccoli etc. As the cooking procedure is longer, it will save us lots of time if we make them in batches.
First got to chop, steam and grind them. Then pour into ice cube trays with lids, after freezing transfer into a freezer storage bag and use a straw to remove all the air??
According to her, we make different colour of cubes (green and orange cubes), after thawing just mix it into the baby cereal and serve. We can grind nuts and seeds and add too to make it more nutritious.
For fruits, we can serve it fresh every day, not necessary to freeze as it's v easy to make. My mom say just use a spoon to scrape and serve for fruits like bananas and papaya.

the u-like is the brand name.. it is not by braun. There is normally a promoter showing the functions at Istean ( saw it at the Scotts Rd) last week. very small and compact.. u can go and take a look.

mbb2, i weighed Evee again today. She is only 5.5kg at 5 months really worrying esp now her milk intake drop from about 800ml to 500ml each day. Wonder what her pd going to say next week, think he may want me to start Evee on solids earlier since she really very underweight.

I did not train my gar to slp leh, she auto slpt thru out the night since she is 2mth and many ppls said I'm lucky. but hor, sian, when I took her to my mum'plc to stay after cny, she will then woke up at 230am and 530am to feed during her first 2 weeks. but thks god, after that, she only woke up at 0500am for the night after 3mth(but still sian). sian....mum used to tell me need to wake her up during nite for feed, I told her dun need, siao, let bb slp thru and ppls said bb slp thru the nite no feed lucky liao. then she told me, no gd for bb to slp thru the night without feed , later tummy not gd. wow piang, I told her, adult got woke up middle of nite to have meal meh...ai-yo...now, she prayed hard that my gar dun woke up during feed and she even let my gar drunk very full for last feed (she dun care abt timing, I repeat and nag at her that if my gar drink at 1800+ then dun need to give so much at 2000pm +, last few weeks, waste so mcuh ebm, so heartpain and mum blamed that my gar wanted to slp, ai-yo, wake her up to finish it leh...pissed off man), sometimes so pissed off of her words, very condicting, one moment said this and the next moment said that.
