i vomitted twice & shivered a bit while in the delivery suite waiting the cervix to dilate to 10cm. but that's only temporary. after that no more liao.

ya i signed up kkh antenatal class last time. can't remember how many lessons in total, sorry. cos GlenE's class a bit more expensive.

My gynae was having dinner with his family lah, somemore his daughter's b/day. He inject anaethesia (i don't know how to spell, its those ma2 jue4 medicine).

Ya loh, i can really feel bb's head, even tho it might not be completely out, but the urge was so great...still ask me to wait...but guess they know the best lah, if really cannot wait, the mid-wives will sure deliver the baby. And maybe that's why i only take one push to push out my girl.

my no.1 I got no side effect, but no.2 had very bad effect. Guess depends on individual on how well ur body can accept the medication.

u r rite, one cannot adminster epidural if she's think 4 cm dilated or too painful.

If can, advice to u is better not take epidural, have a feel of natural birth. I wait until no.3 then got the courage to try... haha... now die die also no epidural, cos the last adminster of epidural is terrible, now I more scare of the administration of epidural than labour pain.

from wat i noe, there's no particular reason 4 having reflux. i oso got it suddenly. just tt reflux wld b worse when pregnant or if u're bloated or heavy at e stomach cos tt wld push more gastric juices upwards. v sian one. n it's nt curable. just haf to control diet n adjust ur lifestyle accordingly.

does he haf tonsil stones? i haf... so suay! cos ppl haf reflux r more prone to tonsil stones. they r food particles tt get stuck at e folds o skin at our tonsils (side o throat), then over time decompose n becomes white n hard. can grow v big n b very very uncomfortable. after a while, happy happy it will dislodge... v gross one. one nite, my v big tonsil stone dislodged but bcos o my reflux, i cldn't swallow it n it kept coming up to my mouth. imagine a ball o bacteria? eeks..

really like pang sai? we're nt supposed to eat while we're in labour rite? when my mum gave birth to me, she asked my dad to secretly buy her duck rice while in e ward cos she's v hungry. soon later, i came out... together w a pile o shit. hiyoh....

from yr experiences, seems ok to take epi... aiyo... very confuse... my main worry is i wait until by then want to take also cannot liao...

apart from the side effects of epi, another worry is i heard from some pple tat because they take epi, cannot feel how hard and where to push... so end up took very long to push the bb out... until got to use forcep to pull leh...

usually they will empty our bowels before we go into labour, so what happen to ur mum may not happen to us.

No anethesia injection if you are under epi lah..coz u don't feel pain down there mah when u are under epi.

When you got admitted in the hospital, your gynae will insert this bullet thingy into your anus so that you can clear your bowels...so most probably would not come out with all the shit.

i can't really remember... they carry quite upmarket designer labels like Liz Lange n other brands tt i've nv heard of. their cheapest range is Mother En Vogue liao. But i find their clothes to b o v gd quality n value 4 money, much better than thyme, spring etc...

if buy, dresses can go up to $400+.. rent shld be able to get nice dresses at $30+? hopefully...can rent up to a mth.

You know sometimes children or adults has very high fever, doc will prescribe this medicine which looks like a bullet to insert in the anus. Its something similar, initially a litte uncomfortable, but it will get disolve and after a while, the nurse will encourage you to go poo poo, after that, take a bathe.

Tok abt epi, i initially thot go w/o cos scared of side effects, but like vanessa say, backache can happen even without. Oso my frens say it depends on ur doc, if they are skillful, no problem. I hv a few frens no prob with epi and recommend it. And I oso thot to myself, i get very anxious easily have hv rapid heartbeat sometimes, so, in order not to make myself too stress and kena problem (choy choy), i think i'll opt for epi lor.

Anyway, epi can adjust the amount one. So they will adjust such that you can feel a little bit still and not totally numb that cannot feel anything until dunno how to push. Just listen to the midwives, they say push, push lor.

the epidural is to be inserted from ur back to the spine area. For my case, think the dr not skilfull or wat, cannot find the right spot, so end up keep poking, then cannot go thru, take out, poke again.... takes quite a while, so the feeling is terrible. But when I had my no.1 the injection was not so bad, no pain, just like insect bite and it's done, that's y I opt for it again for no.2, but now not for no.3 liao, I rather bear the labour pain, cos I was so afraid that she keep poking till later I kana paralyse.... spine leh....

dunno leh...that time i reached hospital, midwife said 5cm liao but i still can jab epi leh. so dunno must wait till more than how many cm then cannot jab epi. epi jab from spine behind. body must curl up like a prawn & STAY STILL. Don't move.

Must be really painful to be poke again and again on the spine..is it the gynae who inject the epidural or someone else does it? I heard from one of my fren that injecting epidural is a painful process..after the doc finish injecting the epi, his hands will be full of blood? Dunno if she is exaggerating or what.. but it really freak me out...

Do they shave the whole part clean or just trim off those hair at the lower part? I must do some "housecleaning" before i go into the labour ward..wld rather do it myself.. paiseh..

Ya now recall, think its a tube thing and squeeze someting into the anus...wow lau, old liao lah....

My case was done by gyane, because he was the one who admitted me...he even brought me to the registration counter, than brought me to the preparation room, did everything than go off. Even the nurse was surprise, she said, wow dr ang brought you in ah ? I think most probably was because, i was told to see him in the afternoon, me blur blur loh, dilated already still don't know, somemore can asked him, need to admit hah ? I still thot can wait, coz the contraction subsided the next morning.

Pai seh, sure will lah. But long before i decided to choose a male gynae, i prepared myself liao. And i will make sure hubby there for me loh...and the nurse is there too. Ya, the nurse gave me a robe, so after i done all my business, i bathe loh.

I am seeing a bb stuffs website. Saw Farlin pampers. very cheap.. is this brand good do u know? Cos NB bb tends to wet pamper more often mah.. So intend to buy some cheap one to use in the day then better ones to use at nite ..

I read that epidural is near your spine, not ON the spine itself. And hope get a good doctor to apply it lor. I hvn't heard jialat case yet from my frens, so hopefully mine will be ok. As for shaving, I always trim the hair anyway, so shdn't be a problem. I read from the book What to Expect When You Are Expecting, that nowadays, in US, they dun shave cos shaving may kena little cuts that kena infection. They say now more likely trim nia. Anyway, even if gynae is male, he's probably done it for many other before so, nothing to be paiseh about. =P

I'm not sure if the items are going to be cheap, cos for example, tollyjoy babywipes, I usually buy from Robinson 2 containers + 1 refill pack cost me $9+, but this one not sure if it's 1 container or the same as I bought one cost $8+ liao.

my frd recommend me to 1 ah poo ne ne shop to do.. Very cheap oni $25 nia. at little india there. My frd also did BW when she was like 5-6mths lidat. She say we chinese not so bad ar. she say for indian pple they got more more hairs there ar.. If u want i give u all the contacts lor. I wish to go but paiseh leh.. Open let pple see. then also dunno i will OUCH loud loud anot when she remove the wax ..

I find that after shave liao the hair grow more itchy ar.. aiyoo miserable.
