hi fizz,
which day did you go? i brought jared there on saturday!!! he loved it! amazing your boy can sit through it. we wanted to bring nat but she had diarrhoea and fever. luckily recover already.

thanks for your nice compliments abt cadence. she really looks like jared hor???? if you all can tell, means she really does!!! hehehe. got even more amazing story abt her and jared. coz on the day i gave birth, jared gave a 'prediction' on cadence's birth weight! and it was EXACTLY her birth weight.

Yah, I know I can't/shouldn't stay in this job for long. But now near end of the year, not so easy to find jobs also... and I can't just quit because i'll need to pull JT out from the cc if that's the case, considering the fees is sooooo ex there, dun think hubby can afford to let me be a SAHM while testing out my own small business..... I am targeting a certain govt body.... very sane working hours, very family friendly, but of cos pay is not fantastic. But no openings leh... my friend say cos its quite family friendly so seldom got pple leave wan... so got to wait lor... and see if there are any other openings....

Wah! Sit still for 90min!!!!!!! We've booked the SSO baby proms tickets for Dec, and now we're thinking how to keep JT sitted for 60min, and can't feed her cheerios to get her to sit down, cos no eating in the esplanade!!

Exactly!! This is very different from the "travel very occasionally" that they told me during the interview....and on top of that, every other month got regional meeting, so got to bring pple out for dinners..... So angry now %&$%&$&$ Will certainly very actively look out for jobs now...

i stayed at Oakwood. They have a few properties all over Tokyo. I stayed at the Roppongi one, abt 5 min from the train station. they allowed stay less than 1 week but cannot confirm so far ahead. usually only 2 weeks before. they give priority to ppl staying longer than 1 month, that's why.
i only roam around Tokyo. didn't have time to go to other places. spent 2 days in Disneyland and Disneysea. stayed at Sheraton near Disneyland while i was there.
forget your stroller, just bring a carrier in case Cae sleeps while you're out.

SSO Baby's Prom is basically introducing the tods to classical music. Hubby and I knew each other because we were playing in the same symphonic band, so we want to expose JT to classical music from young. Normally children under 5 are not allowed into classical concerts, this is the only exception, so must quickly grab the chance. Details here

I think the Sat tics for the baby prom sold out liao. I just realised that they are having it at Victoria concert hall, not esplanade, no wonder so little seats lah... but think they won't let tods go into esplanade lah... imagine if they dirty the place.... and screaming.... hahahaha...

I think the cheapest tics is $21 +$3sistic for adults. children under 2 is free. I think Kate can pass off as under 2 lah since she would have just turned 2 then I haven't been there before, but my friends who went previous years said there will be a session where they let the kids go up on stage and play around. wah... being a musician myself, I cannot imagine tods playing with my instrument lor!!!! I will definitely freak out.... I also saw the turf club one... was thinking of bring JT also... but we have a wedding lunch to attend earlier in the day, so have to see if she manage to take at least 1 hr nap, if not she'll be so super cranky in the evening. I'll sms you if I'm going to see if you're there.

Denise got her 1st dose Hep A jab. She was ok. Have yet to go for the 2nd dose.
The silly PD in TB poked her 3x at her thigh during the 5 in 1 booster a mth back. The next day, her thigh was swollen like my palm size. Now there is a lump on the jab area when I touched.

Morning Mummies
Aiyo this morning was so drama... JT woke up at 2+am and refused to sleep keep struggling and crying, had no choice put her to sleep with us (1st time in 20mths!)she was flipping around quietly for some time then finally fell asleep. I transferred her back to her cot at 4am. But 30min later, she woke up screaming "Mummy pi pi!!" went to check on her realised she had diarrhea. She was still crying then hubby rubbed ru yi oil on her tummy, then she felt better, but refused to go back to sleep. Then put her to sleep in our bed she finally fell asleep. Then at 7am she started to have low grade fever... Initially decided to take leave to stay with her at home, but when she woke up at 7.30am, she was so active and chatty, and even asked for isomil to drink (so strange!)Then her temp dropped to 37.3... so decided to bring her to CC. Hopefully nothing happens later... but I'm definitely a zombie now... didn't really sleep ever since she woke up at 2+am....

Actually JT still needs to be cuddled before she'll sleep. But she won't fall asleep in our arms... she just wants to be cuddled until she is ready to sleep, then she'll point to her cot and say "sleep". Then we put her down pat her for about 5min she'll sleep. She hasn't had a morning nap eversince she gone CC. But actually before that, it was getting more and more difficult to get her to sleep in the morning. so not a bad idea to just take a early afternoon nap, and sleep earlier at nite.

Yes, I can understand the bit about travelling and especially entertaining regional guests after work, so irritating! Can you manage the timing of your travels so that it will not clash with your husband's? For me, I will schedule my trips on days that my husband is in town. But then again, 24 trips a year for you is kind of crazy also...ask your boss to let you do videoconference la!
I really agree with you that it is not easy for us to chase careers when we want a good upbringing for our kids. I also do not believe in dumping our kids to our maids or even to grandparents, so I took up my current job with more fixed hours, lower pay, lesser travels so I can spend time with them...altho sometimes it's sad when you see your single friends charging way ahead with their careers. BUT I think it's worth it. And Dora, I know what you mean by employers being suspicious of you if you want to downgrade...very sad hor? Government agencies should be a better place to work. Their pay also not that bad these days...ALL THE BEST in finding your dream job!!!

Haven't made the final decision whether to quit w/o a job or not.... still trying to figure out cos the industry is not exactly doing very well now, so dunno how easy it is to look for another job after quiting... of cos $$ also lah... cos you know how ex JT's CC is... aiya hubby's pay is a lot higher than mine cos mine is very low mah... I am about 20% lower than my peers cos I went to teach PT for a while mah... kenna penalised for that and yet doing the same type of work... that's how fair life can be....
JT is also having her Mummy-only moments, esp when having anything to do with her sleeping. If she is sleepy, she will only want me and nobody else. You know my hubby is very hands-on lah, but yet JT still has Mummy-only moments. I think it started with hubby's recent trip, dunno if it is really due to his absence or just coincidence
