hi wendy,

i'm wearing sandals which i get 1 size bigger and been wearing them since my initial stage. onli recently, my soles are getting more painful. i think it's due to the additional wt.

Ok, update on my check up this pm.

my gal now weigh 3190g at 38wks6d which is an increase of 234g over 2 wks. Quite upset that she has only gained 200g+. cos she used to put on abt 300g+ within this time frame.

was mentioning to my gynae that my gal's movement has reduced in the am, so was strapped to the CTG machine, which luckily she doing fine. My gal has not engaged and is still quite high. My gynae was saying that if bb's movement has reduced & not engaged, he may induce me. So he will be seeing me on Sat again. *sigh* really do not wish to be induced. though i'm getting a bit scared, as my EDD is so near yet no symptoms...

wendy,
sorry i wasn't clear enough. what i meant is that lock n lock can be used to store food in freezer or be used to heat up food in microwave. Therefore it should not have any problem with taking the heat from hot water.
what i used to do was to sterilise my pump at home, store in the lock n lock and bring to office. i will pour hot water over the pump before pumping. after pumping, will wash and rinse with hot water and keep back in lock n lock box till the next pump.

oic..at 1st i thot u freeze the LockLock box with water filled up together with the pump..now ic, thks..okok..nw i get wat u meant here on the storage & also rinsing method b4 & aft pumping..as long as can take hot water rinising i m sure i m happy enough for storing..thks..thks..will go & chk out the diff sizes available of the Lock Lock box range as well..cheers~

dont worry abt ur bb's weight gain cos u reaching full term liao so most prob ur placenta matured liao. in fact 3.2kg seems to be just nice if u want natural birth.

ya..i think if my babys' weight continue to grow when i see my gynae this coming Mon..then the chances of me gg for c-sect is also quite high..my gynae told tell me, it might be easier for me also..coz my boy's head is at the bigger size range..so i mgt hv a little difficulty to push him if he grows bigger..but he will want to try me for natural then if cannot we will go for c-sect..ya, i m in fact waiting for the reply from the lady i PM..hopefully she reply my email by today..if not, then i will have to go for Lock Lock whc is also not bad..i will let u know later if the lady reply..cheers~

i just did another detailed scan on Mon (ard 35.5 week) and it showed that my placenta now at grade 3 liao and gynae said usually pp at 39 week then grade 3. so that could be the reason why my bb not gaining weight. my bb HC was 32.5 at 35.5 week, fyi. ==> my bb has big head?? oh no...

Wendy, indeed I think your bb's head a lttle bigger hor. Rhys was only 33.5cm...So long as delivery is smooth, whichever method is secondary. You'll still enjoy cuddling your precious boy.

even bb oredi engaged since last week, but me no sign to pop yet. i think because of tat, gynae didnt perform cervix check for me. jz ask me to come back next week. told wendy last nite, i'm waitng to have contraction.

oh, thks for telling me that Rhys's head circumference was 33.5cm when he's borned..thks..i almost forgot abt this hor..that's why i think this is the reason why he's not engaged yet..i guess u r right..if boy-boy usually slightly bigger in size as compared to girl-girl..hopefully my boy's head size maintain..keke..ya, whcever the mode of delivery isnt impt as long as can deliver him safely..cheers~

See GP duno can help anot..coz i m too near to labour to possible eat any medicine leh..also quite worried that in case i dun get well by 3 Oct..then when my boy's out..i cant get near to him leh..now i m working very hard to drink lotsa water..eating fruits also..hope i get better soon..no lah..cervix chk is done usually to see how many cm u r dilated..hmm..usually when bb's engaged then gynae will chk ba, i think..there's also cases when gynae done cervix chk but bb not engaged..got to depends on ur gynae's practise la..dun think so much if the temp can cope aft u r on leave..at 1st i also got this worry..but u cant do much also..now u hvnt give birth, can call to chk..but when u give birth..then i dun think u can have time to do that..then i will rather u "train" ur temp to be independant also lor..i will suggest u spend some relaxing time over the wkends to relax ur mind & have a gd dinner with hubby...coz when bb is out..then u will surely be more than busy liao..by then, u want to go see movie or have dinner also not that easy liao lor..go see the Rob-B-Hood lah..abt this cute baby & also may help to relax both u & hubby also lor..ok?btw, did u sms Mdm Naini ur details to confirm the booking?

ya, going to induce on Mon if tomor checkup shows bb not gaining weight lor. as i told gemini, seems like my placenta matured liao, not supplying nutrients to bb lor. by Mon will be 36.5 week liao, so still ok lor. since i had bleeding in mid-Aug, considered v lucky to be able to delay the labor for more than 6 weeks.

might be the next one cutting queue!

juz went for my gynae appt. bb's weight is abt 2.4kg at 36wks. bad news is umbilical cord is looped ard the body (but can't tell if its neck coz bb's hands blocking)so gynae suggested induction. if next thur's checkup still show the cord looping ard, i'll hv to be induced on 10th oct liao (at 37wk)anyway, today's cervix check showed the im already 1cm dilated, so maybe by the time of induction, will be further dilated by another 2-3cm..

I think the best rememdy now for u, is drink lots & lots of water, and try to sleep as much as possible. So that the toxins (heatiness) can be washed out from your system more easily since need to go toilet more often then..

coolcoolmum....we are in the same boat.....mine is contractions since 24th weeks...going for checkup tomorrow....

in fact...my gynae does cervic check at every visit since 25th wk...thats why detect my cervic was dilated for about 1.5cm at 26th week....tomorrow he should advise me when to remove the stitches...

I went thru induction too. I also dun know whether it is stronger or not as I dun have normal contractions before that. But I knew that if induction, the contractions will come faster, maybe a bit stronger when the drip with medicine is increased. That is to fasten your dilation.

Dun worry, still got miracle medicine called epidural. Anyway, I endure the contractions w/o epidural and with deep breathing, actually still bearable. Think depends on individual ... so dun worry too much... if i can make it, you can make it. (although in the end, I took epidural for other reasons...)

dont worry too much, must try to relax. think the most impt thing now is to make sure bb still moving. did u check with ur doc if neber move for how long u should rush down to see him? at least u already dilating, so maybe induction will be fast for u.

i was having contraction at 30th week when i had the bleeding, but i could not feel anything. then at 33 week i was asked to double my medication cos contraction came back, but i still could not feel anything. this Mon i stopped medication, went back for checkup on Tue but no contraction and hv not dilate yet (maybe too soon). still today i dont feel any contraction but i hope tomor checkup will show that i hv actually dilated.

did they first use the tablet b4 the drip? Rem u mentioned that Rhys' head was quite high and refuse to come down. is it usually the case for induction whereby bb's head will take a long time to come down?

coolcoolmum...exactly i dont even felt any contractions at all during that time...not sure whether gynae will ask me to stop the medication since i be 36th week tomorrow....

storm....i also very scare...heehee......be in natural or c-section....i am worried cos pain threshold way too low..

when i asked my gynae whether my bb has engaged, she also just press on my lower abdominal area. u going to due soon right, not sure how come ur gynae hv not do the cervix check for u? maybe like what wendy said, b'cos u hv no contraction and ur bb not engaged yet ba.

Hi CoolCoolMum,

I did not use the tablet which most induction cases does coz before I went in, I am already 2cm dilated, plus I have show the night before and most imptly, is becoz before that, I already having contractions (intense BH) every 1 min interval. My gynae dun want me to take the tablet coz my contractions cannot be less than 1 min liao... so i just started with the breaking of my waterbag then put on drip. I skip the tablet.

As for Rhys' head, that is not the case for induction. there is a lot of cases where induced delivery took place very fast where bb's head are already down. Mine is special case where my son is too comfortable up in my tummy and refuse to come down. Not a usual case for induction.
Actually, with bb head up high and induce, there is a higher chance of e-csect if bb refused to come down and mummy already fully dilated. But there are cases where bb last min will come down one lor... just like my case.

Dun worry. With or without induction, bb will come down when he/she wants too...
For me, I got to silently BEGGED my son to come down after 10 hours in the labour ward then he decided to give in hor... haa... so talk to your bb...

Vivia, the contractions at the earlier stage usually very bearable. It's those contractions nearer to the transsition stage and when bb is abt to come out that can be teraing one apart. But of course with great focus and determination I think we can all pull thru. Anyway, all the ladies in the past managed without epi when they have no choice...

Gemini, coolmum, my gynae also never do cervix check for me. he say not necessary to cause discomfort. If I'm dilated and the pain kicks in then go deliver.
