I just ordered some stuff from Old Navy than now they got extra $10 off for labor day sales. Hubby die die want the bb jeans so will be ordering again. Anyone interested to tag along? Than can share some of the charges from vpost since I got another order so will be cheaper lor cos split half already.

i listen to the songs everyday mah so can remember but only choose to remember the 2 cos i like the rhythm for 1 and the lyrics for the other. so i take that as my boy's favourite songs... (not even knowing whether is it his favourite or not)

yup... my SIL is 2 weeks ahead of me.
now should be ard 38 weeks.
I got the feeling that I will also give birth ard 38 weeks. Doc told me so... See how lor... just 2 more weeks before I reached 38 wks too... so exciting...

Dun know is I think too much or it is an omen hor... I keep having this fear that later when I give birth hor, Rhys suddenly turns out to be a gal leh!!!
Coz during recent scans, I always cannot get gynae to show me again that he is indeed a boy leh... How har??
Scary leh...

Jenny, when at home i also don't wear long sleeve. I only wear that if going out as not sure what kind of weather or temperature I'll be exposed to.

Gemini, my mum don't allow fan but say air-con is fine leh.

Selina, ya, when i cry bb also move alot i suspect she can feel the sad emotion so i'll quickly calm myself and talk to bb or sing song to her to calm her too.

Had a very bad night yesterday. Hubby brought home 'bu tang' again and he always dunno what is in the soup. Drink than couldn't sleep the whole night and keep sneezing got phlegm and burping. Think the soup too heaty liao throat very dry than keep drinking water morning got sore throat liao....sian

Can check with you the sofy pad is name as, went to watson TPY today when i went check-up got alot don't know which to take..... haha Actually bought the M-pads from Kiddy palace, but yr idea of bring the sofy 8pads seems more convenient.

Oh ya, doreen my mum said its not very advisable to take bu tang during last trimester le, cos later too heaty for both mummy and baby, i suggest u drink more plain water and once a while coconut for liang.

That is the problem lor... My gynae say cannot see anything coz his leg is bended lah... body block the view lah... so the last time i confirm he is boy hor, is during the 5th mth scan leh... think too long liao... a bit paranoid...

Now knowing that my SIL gave birth hor, I feel so excited.. until Rhys can feel it leh... keep moving and moving...

Yes the little one can indeed feel wat we r feeling. this aftn i was feeling quite upset at work and i had rather intense BH contractions for at least 30 mins. even my little one was kicking me non stop, dunno comforting me or he oso feeling frantic. sigh

i kept smoothing my tummy but my contractions wldnt go away. it only slowly eased away aft lunch. i am still feeling it right now, juz less intense.

i noe how wei qu u feel. there were 3 times during pregnancy i felt tt too. cried silently in the rm until hb pacify me. i think we r v emotional rite now and its easy to trigger our tear ducts. but u feel better aft crying rite? lets cheer up.

actually just want them to have a memorable memory (for both in-laws & parents) since it's the 1st grandchild..coz want to be fair..i know my parents wont reject me so dun want to let others have any chance to say i didnt invite my in-laws..so i actually asked my MIL 1st..but she cant make it & gace me comments lor..then later when my mum was told i am expecting a son...she also want to hear it "live" from the gynae..haha..so i asked her along ard my 15th or 18th wk (cant remember)..then recently..i asked my dad & mum along again..but as & when i also tried to be fair to ask my in-laws..only till last night, hubby's 3rd sis sms us that she managed to convince my FIL to come along this Fri...coz FIL also mentioned he felt weird, if it's his daughters, he sure go one..so see how ba..

mayb your ILs feel awkward to see your tummy ba. My gynae always scan below belly button, near bikini line. So personally I wouldn't even want my mum to be present during the scan.

have u all chk out & understand on the baby bonus scheme?i just went to the website (https://www.babybonus.gov.sg/bbss/html/index.html) to read and got to understand that 1st child only get $3k over a period of 4 instalment & for 2nd child onwards then will get $3k as well as the match dollar-for-dollar from the Govt..of up to a max of $6k..then this $6K cannot be withdraw out as cash..only can be used at
1) Fees at Approved Institutions which have registered with MCYS under the Baby Bonus Scheme:

-Child care centres;
-Ministry of Education (MOE)-registered kindergartens and special education schools; and
-National Council of Social Service (NCSS)-registered early intervention programmes for children aged 6 years and younger with disabilities.

2) MediShield or Medisave-approved private integrated plans.

Sure the placenta is healthy lah. Our babies spend their formation in there leh. Extremely bu one! I read that placenta is an organ by itself wor! Amazing hor?!

Ladies,
now whenever my tummy itchy, i'll scratch. Tot that genetics play a part in stretchmarks formation. My mum dun have mah. This morning my colleague told me she also scratch until shiok shiok. After delivery, THEN u see the stretchmarks appearing. OOPs..i better stop my itchy hands. U all take note hor.

Janice, I always wonder how scratching can cause stretch marks. Stretch marks occurs when skin with low elasticity expand or shrink. So it's possible to get stretch marks after delivery if the skin shrink too quickly and the elasticity of the skin is not good enuf to accomodate the speed of shrinking. Scratching only leave scars if we scratch till we bleed...That's how I see it.

If town hv, i gotta buy lor. no choice, since Sofy is sooo popular. but u gals feel its weird 4 preggies to buy sanitary pads? i helped my mum buy a pkt a few mths back, then i felt awkward when paying. hahahah

placenta is nutritious, tts 4 sure lah. but how to eat? OMG... if its dried up into pills, mayb not so bad... but then again... better reconsider. hahahaha

aiyoh, not advisable to scratch lah! might cause stretchmarks. i try to tap tap to ease the itch lor. and if had to scratch, its over my clothings. trying to minimize scratching man. getting more nowadays.

I also think it's the scars that cause stretchmarks but my colleague said no leh. Agree with u that the shrinking of the skin could have cause the stretchmarks too.

i not exactly sure but i think i read somewhere tt during pregnancy, the skin on our tummy is alrdy stretched to v thin, so its easier to get stretchmarks when we scratch as we tend to use finger nails. u juz try to imagine ur nails over a layer of v thin skin that has been stretched? the underlying cells r bruised as a result and thus causes the marks. does it sound logical?

heard tt shrinking does not cause stretchmarks. its caused when we expand/stretch in size. we might not notice it but when it goes back to original shape, its like being compressed and so we can see the stretchmarks more easily?

Actually hor, dun say your in laws lah. If I were them, I also feel weird to go. Daughters and DILs are different, at least daughters not so pai seh, especially for FIL.
My parents and PILs never go for checkup with me. Only hb goes with me. I find it weird wor, with parents or PILs, while gynae performs scanning on me.

The 4 pcs per pack Sofy got a lot of stock. I mean out of stock one is the 8 pcs per pack one. The 8 pcs per pack one is inside the Watson, near to the corner area, while the 4 pcs pack one is near to the entrance. The 4 pcs pack still got further discount or not huh?

For the BB Bonus, for 1st child, the $3K will be given by 4 instalments. When BB reaches 18 mths, you will receive the full amt.

For 2nd child, the $3K is the same as the 1st child. But there is this Co-Savings, where a dollar will be matched by Govt if we save into the account, max is S$6K, till BB reaches 6 years old.

You will receive a letter once you register for BB's BC. You just need to fill up the forms and send back. Of cos, you need to open a bank acct for bb first. If not, credit the $ into your acct.

i heard that vaccination for bb is done cheaper at polyclinics.Anyone knows the rate? my MIL keep asking me to go polyclinics cheaper, she says last time got free vaccinations, so no need to take up kkh package for vaccination tat costs abt $400+

Good idea to get your PILs to bring the gifts home for u. Hubby also brought the stuff back whenever he goes home cos on the day of discharge, still got the bath-tub to bring back from MAH. You're not the only weird one lah, i also dont like so many people to come pick me up when i discharge. That time, hubby and i managed it on our own.
Oh yes, another thing to note. if u receive floral baskets in the hospital, remember to leave them outside your room at night. Not v good to leave them in the room while sleeping (esp if u want bb to sleep with u) cos of the pollen etc.
For me, i "donated" to the chapel in MAH, got too many liao. Actually quite a waste of money.

Not too sure with the bb vaccination charges from Polyclinic cos I dun go Polyclinic one. My gal's jabs all done at GP cos more convenient. I heard from my aunt those mthly jab (old kind) are free. That means got to jab mthly. Those 5 in 1 and 6 in 1 got to pay. But some jabs from Polyclinic is free.
