Julie & Liverpool,

YB,
Wanted to let you know that the cake from Imina's great and I'm happy with it. Not too sweet and she's very accomodating. Thanks for your lead!
Mummies,
I was just thinking about asking you all for your babies' menu and food/milk intake these days and voila, this is already the discussion topic of the day. Think we all have the same questions/doubts during this stage of our babies' development.
My girl Caitlyn weighed 8.3 kg and measured 76cm 2 weeks ago when we brought her for her pneumococcal and flu jab. Slightly underweight but slightly taller than average for her age group. PD says ok, but encouraged me to feed her more milk.
As it is, her menu is as such:
6/7am - Latch on
9am - 180ml FM + some bread
12pm - Lunch (Si Shen brown rice powder + fish + veggie mashed OR cereal + fruit) + drink of water
3pm - 180ml FM + a biscuit + drink of water
6.30pm - Dinner ( Brown rice powder + Heinze infant bottled stuff - I try different flavours) + drink of water
8.30pm - Latch on
9.00pm - 180ml FM before Zzzz
I have been trying to increase FM intake to 200ml but was not successful. Decided to stick to 180ml again. Good thing is that she can finish a whole bowl of the brown rice thingy for both meals. She even likes it plain. Don't know if what I'm doing is right but I guess I won't rock the boat while the water's calm.
Reading the posts above, I was just wondering whether fresh milk is better than FM for our kiddies? I am currently easing Caitlyn into Gain IQ, but am also considering substitutes, e.g. packet milk for times when the family goes out. Any mummies thinking of trying or already trying any form of packet milk?
Re. potty training, I just requested from a relative a Potty training book as Caitlyn's bday present. Have started reading the book to her and will be doing so for the next 6 mths to transit her to potty proper. Hopefully she would be able to understand first with " in-theory training", and make my life easier when we go practical.
I also wanted to share that I have succeeded in training her to sleep in her own cot and room from 10pm to 6/7am for the past week! The training started 3 days before she turned one, and is working well so far. Noticed that the tone of her cries have changed from the "I really really need you and I am so scared" to "I want you to play with me and I'm frustrated that you aren't doing what I want" kind of cries.
Today she whimpered for only 1 minute before dropping to sleep at 9.30pm! Explains for my long long post today.. keke So happy.
Hope this continues!
