Wish me good luck for these wkends as my MIL, SIL they all are coming back. Hubby promise to lie to them we are out for 2 wkends so hopefully MIL dun come over my hse.

I realise when they want to learn new things, its like all of sudden one. We teach him bye bye for 1 mth plus he dun want. Then we kind of give up but all of sudden he bye bye to use. Then few days ago, he suddenly kept saying 'papa' my hubby happy until upside down. My hubby spend I would say the lesser time with Jayden because he got nite classes but Jayden saying 'papa' first wor. Kept saying non stop.
When my sis bring Jayden downstairs to wait for us to knock off. Jayden can recongise hb's bike. Will scream non stop. If other bike pass by he simply ignore.
Now Jayden will 'run off' if we tell him let's go bath liao. Sometimes seeing him can make me forget abt all the rubbish my in-law say.
Haiz. Last nite I dream of FIL insist carrying Jayden whereby I say NO because they get close with SIL who had chicken pox but he say its ok never mind. I say NO again then who know when I turn my back he go n carry Jayden. I scold him upside down. Scolding them for being selfish, inconsiderate.

Dun feel sad, it's js a phase they r gg thru, afterall, u r his mother, he'll come back to the glue stage in future... like my sis, she's very fierce to his 2 sons, even smack them with cane but they still stick to her like superglue, even dun wan to follow their daddy... like my char, she dun stick to me one, whenever someone say go gai-gai, she'll follow then dun wan me liao... sad oso but it's a short relieve afterall... so dun worry...

As for the belief in walking late = good life..I guess cos walk later mean get to be carry longer so good life lor..anyway, I realise that when kiddies lear to walk earlier, they r good at their motor skill which is physical developments whereas those that walk later concentrate on picking up languages & observation skills..but there some which are fast in both skills lah..so dun worry..
toking abt baby falling asleep..wahlau..cham ah...i realised these 2 nights when hb patted ian to sleep..he dun wan leh...he will cry n cry n cry..wahpiang..maciam kena abused...i tried to ignored for about 10-15mins..cos i can relaxed wheile hb patted him mah..but after that..buay tahan liao..so went in and took over...within mins...he zzz liao...aiyo si lah..like that how...i cant even relax when hb is home...everything must be me then jialat liao....

D also not keen on cereal anymore. So he eats less of that but I feed him other things like macaroni. I give him bits of what I eat too. He still likes his porridge although he's not as excited as he used to be. He likes rice which he will feed himself off his table. Good thing is he likes milk again. ;-)

Seriously, walking earlier is bad life for mummy, not for bb. When we go out, Dylan will walk off and walk very far if I let him. And if I don't, he'll create a fuss. It wouldn't be so bad if he could wear shoes cos there might be sharp bits on teh ground.

Wat u mean table food? U mean adult food? I find adult food is too salty for them. Why not u cook plain porriage then 1 or 2 small dishes just for E. Place it on the table just like how adults have meals. May be he enjoy siting together with daddy n mummy for meals.

Sorry for saying this. Understand that as the 1st time mummy we tend to search ard and look for info in web but i dun find some really apply to bbies especially for asian bb.
If u notice most of the parenting books are written by ang mo. They base on their environment and their culture value to groom their kids. So we must also base on asian value to work on our kids.
For teething - the only reason for the bb to have decay teeth. 1stly, sickness.. 2ndly, the bb did not wash off the milk after nite feed. The sugar may make the milk teeth decay. Beside that i cant think of any. Unless we feed the bb with alot of sweet goodies which i dun believe we will.

Hey, my ger still hate eating. she dont like food, i hv 2 force a little most of the time. she likes noodles now but dont know hw long it will last and i also cant just keep feeding her noodle right. at 1st she dont want porridge but still ok with cereal. now she dont want cereal liao! she still not use to drinking formula, again got to use some force! how how how!!!

That's why I always seek first opinion from TMC specialists, PD, my fam doctor and dentist first before I search for more information from the web and books, and I understand that there could be diff versions of stories from one source to another. Mummies nowadays are well educated, I think they should be able to judge whether the info is reliable or not

For oriental style, soak the macaroni, then cook with chicken stock or ikan bilis powder to give some flavouring and when the water is boiling throw in meat, shredded green vege, carrots, etc.. cook until the food reach the texture u wan

in my case, ethan doesn't like anything grainy inside at all, despite it being soft to melting pt! he gags at them. he prefers them pureed still. he's just started to teeth, the 4 front teeth slowly sprouting and at the most, he can chew (chew only) on the teething biscuit. how to encourage him to take more textured food???

My boy has more teeth now, so he prefers something that he can bite and chew on.. it's very much depends on individual bb and their development i guess.. and perhaps their liking? My PD told me this, when u see bb showing interest in taking your food and reject his own food, that's time when u can introduce him with more textured food..

Hi mummies, it's been quite some time since I post.
Need your advise. I am having a hard time cleaning my gal's teeth. She doesn't allow me to clean her teeth at all. Whenever I bring the cloth near to her mouth, she will shut her mouth tight and refuse to open. How har? How do you clean your bb's teeth? Help!! Thanks...

I use the first teeth with the rubber toothbrush. Arin regards it as a flavoured chew toy and has no problem letting me clear her teeth and mouth while chewing on my finger..sigh.
btw, the cloth u are using, is it spiffies? I had tried that with Arin too and she didn;t like it. So maybe yours just didn;t like the taste/texture of the cloth?

Emerson also dun allow me to brush his teeth, and worse after nite feed for milk he dont want to drink water. How huh.. I scare he got tooth decay.

Last time he use to "say" byebye by claspings his fingers (like signing for milk) after he knows how to wave his hands.. he mixed up the two.. and he only know how to say byebye after he clap his hands. Coz we always ask him to clap hands then say byebye. Now he confuse with arms-up/byebye and wave yr hands. The only thing he capable is clapping, but that skil learnt sicne 7mths.

I have a family friend who has looked after many many babies and she says not to force clean their mouths cos then this will put them off brushing later in life which is worse. And she says don't worry about not cleaning their mouths now. It's ok. Her children all have very nice teeth.

toothbrushing - i've yet to try the Spiffies..but recently my ger will bite our fingers when we try to clean her mouth...so finger brush is almost of no use anymore...really painful when she bites even though it's thru the rubber. Using toothbrush now but sometimes, she just clamps up her mouth n refuses...my hb wonders if it's cos she doesn't like taste of the toothpaste...i oso dunno how to clean her tongue now since she bites, used to clean it with gauze but painful now man! then her tongue getting whiter n whiter...dunno how

Cheri - E also likes to bite.. i got toothebrush and he will want to hold the toothbrush as if brushing on his own.
pooh - haha...mabuk baby good wat...hahah...no lah, just half or one can enough plus water like usual...but not too often lah...very fragrant one leh...hahaha..i like.
PM - haha..i oso dress my girl at times at home in those singlets with holes...urs is it like sarong net material type? n she would look so much like a boi boi...but at home nvm lah...go out then dress pretty pretty

Btw, any mummies bb has big head hai mine when preggie doc says his head on bigger end till now still big just bought him to kk to see doc polyclinic ask to go normally there is a check up at 9 or 10 months right forgetten liao the doc says his head is above 97 % increase so cannot lo must go check

Oh ya Summer bites my "rubber-finger" too when i brush her upper teeth (lower teeth she will open her mouth wide wide..dont know why). then i will stare at her and ask her to stop biting then she stops and bites and stops...but overall she likes it!

Ya each time before feeding her got to cross my fingers hoping that she likes the food this time. Baking the macaroni is something interesting. Hope mommies can let me know what cheese to use. I think can bake using toaster right??
