Hi Zoe,
How was ur insurance search for Dylan? I just met up wif my isurance agent in the evening today. Was asking him about the hospitalisation policy for Kaylyn. Apparently there's no policy in S'pore tat covers GP/PD's visits. Normally only co. will tie in tis benefit wif their employee's medical benefit.

AXA child hospitalisation policy does not accept medisave to pay for premium. However, the premium remains the same from 0yrs to 18yrs old. The policy can b used to claim hospitalisation & all pre & post-consultations wif specialist related to the hospitalisation. There's also a discount for every yr of the policy. 1yr 10% disc, 2yr 15% disc & up to a max of 3yr 20% disc. I'm still thinking thru abt the policy though...

Anyone knows other than NTUC income, any other isurance policy can use Medisave to pay for the premium?

Think i'll join the april class then. more spaced out.

ylc,
Oh dear, I grinded the rice without washing first leh...sigh..wasted. I'm using the Multiplexer from Braun & it's really good. I use it to blend vegs & fruits too...

YB,

oh well, its another learning experience for all of us. I actually didnt know whether to wash or not but my mum's maid reminded me must wash then pat dry with the paper towel before pounding.

Insurance - That plan yes, but check out the list of GPs/PDs included, I opt that plan out because the GPs/PDs bb usually go is not included. Other insurance co like AIA, Aviva, GE also had sheild plans that u can use medisave to pay. Prudential's is not competitive.

Hong - Very very sorry abt it. I didnt have yr contact number so didnt sms to ask u. So Sorry. U wanna join the 2nd class?

YB - I didnt use pork rib as stock because after cooking there will be a lot of those small bones, afraid that it will choke bb, so i use pork instead.

My method of cooking very fast...3-4 hrs. I usually prepare when E takes his first nap and by the time its lunch, porridge will be ready.

First, I wil boil the pork/ ikan billis over stove. While doing that, I wash the rice and soak.

When the stock is done, I remove the rice water and pour the stock in. Turn on slow cooker to "high".

I will check the porridge every now and then, if too dry add some more stock in it. When it's half done, I add in broccoli, carrot, sweet potato, cauliflower or potatoe.

I like to use broccoli and potatoe because very nice smell.

As for fish, I will steam them and feed bb direct with porridge, like how adults eat.

PM,
How long do u boil the pork? I will go back to sleep when Kaylyn takes her 1st nap, so I guess slow cooker is the best for me.hee..hee..lazy mummy.

YB - Very fast, its like abit longer than boiling half a pot of water. Once water boil i off the fire, if not the water gets lesser and lesser.

I tried to put pork in, but no taste and the porridge gets very dry and thick if left for too long. At least I can add in stock as and when. I find that I can get hold of the consistency better.

PM,
Can only visit the GPs in the plan 3 times a year? Then have to pay a portion of the visit, incl hospitalisation ourselves? So cannot fully claim lah?

YB - same as PM, i also havent sign up for tat plan. becos I dun wan to change Zavier's usual doc.

Maybe u look thru the link from PM.
happy.gif

YB, sorry I didnt read that plan in detail coz once I see E's usual doctor not there I didnt consider liao. If u wan I can intro u an agent from there. I bought the income shield plan from him. But he's no friend of mine. I met him at KKH.

PM - wow!!! Nice. wat software u using?
since my blog is done now.. i thinking of fiddling with digital scrapbooking. :p

YB - check if ur hubby's company can add Jr as dependent? usually companies hosipitalisation plans are better.

Most Hospitalisation policy in the market requires a co-payment and deductables.

wow... everyone like so onz in cooking for little one. :p

for me, most of the time is still cereal & Food jar. Zavier only eat cooked porridge in infantcare and at my mum's plc. i only cook for him on sunday morning. :p

btw how many meals are ur jr taking now? 1 or 2 or 3 already?

MTDT - Digital scrapbooking! Alamak, that time I went to ask the link from zita, and it takes ages to download them, I eventually gave up.
I cheapo, I download Adobe Elements 5 free 30 days trial... May consider buying the software, but me looking for shops that open and close very fast de.... HAhahahahah...

MTDT,
Nope, hb's co doesn't cover dependent, incl spouse. Stupid jap co. haiz.

PM,
Nice! Wanted to try digital scrapbooking but always no time leh..haa..haa...rather surf net.

Was thinking if can boil the pork then freeze them. So can use everytime when cooking porridge.

Before E was sick, he use to eat 3 meal... but "leftovers" meaning,

Breakfast - As usual, he cannot finish his milk, I will use the leftover milk to mix with Heinz Banana breakfast cereal.

Lunch - Freshly cooked, piping hot

Dinner - Leftover from lunch... Dont want to waste and lazy to cook again.

I am somehow quite reserved abt giving cereal and jar food... because if they can be stored, there must be some kind of preservative...but this is mine thinking lah.. I still give like now.. coz they are sweeter and E has no appetite now, so using that to help him eat.

PM,
I tried to download Adobe photoshop, but take ages until I buay tahan..haa..haa...

MTDT,
My gal's feeding schedule:
9am - milk
1pm - porridge/cereals/jar food/veg/fruit/or milk if she refuses porridge & cereals
4pm - 6oz milk / sometimes bb bisc
7pm - veg & fruit puree
9pm - brown rice w/ milk

I think I really fail to give my gal semi solids...sigh..the one thing she eats is brown rice mixed with FM in btl & vegs/fruit purees.

For btl food, how long can we keep in fridge after opening?

digital scrapbook program - v big file huh.

the one u using is it easy to use?
I hv some old version of adobe photoshop etc. but never really go explore.

but realise tat my pc always crash after installing it. so now dun dare to install. my pc now hv alot alot alot of zavier pics n videos! scare!! :p

Fruitee - We all wanan fill BB with activities, hahaha.. dunno if I still so ON if I have my second child.

YB - Think I ever read one of the mummies doing this. Shld be able to..

Anyway, I bought the super baby food from a BP, waiting for the organiser to mail, will post more interesting recipes after i've read.;)

Fruitee,
haha, cos I think most classes cater for 6mths & above babies mah...also, I think we mummies like the company of other mummies to chit chat lor.

PM,
I also feed Kaylyn wif Heinz Banana Cereals.Sometimes she can finish all, but most of the time, she only takes 1 spoonful then clamp her mouth shut...sigh...how much do u feed Emerson? Normally I make 1 scoop of cereal (similac spoon) with 50ml of water.

I think my gal likes milk more than anything...oh, bb biscuits is an exception..
happy.gif

MTDT - PEach also using that software. Then better dont lah.. dont take the risk unless u back them up. Our bbs pics and videos are very precious. I use to have PS also, but dunno how to use, I find this more user friendly and can create more things like Photo Albums, CD labels, CD jackets etc etc. U say easy to use or not lah? Im a lazy cum stupid one...

YB - Kaylyn likes milk which is good. How I wish Emerson likes milk too. Can u imagine, he's drinking only 2-3oz each feed even before he was ill. Actually everytime I make cereal I use my "agaration" because I dont have so many scoops for the different packs of cereal. I just make sure its the same consistency.

Emerson likes Gerber Graduates Finger biscult, each time I shake the bottle, he will dance and wave his hands. Hahaahaha.

hey mummies,

for trial at julia gabriel, you all prefer weekday/weekend? what time? let me know then i can ask the person in charge. TQ
