dsii - 180ml per pump so much better than me leh...me max only 120ml per pump. But these days, me latch on more coz bb prefers that...ha ha!

How much can u pump out with ur manual pump in 20min time. That time i tried only manage to pump out ard 90-100ml unlike PIS I can pump up to 150ml..

The laser is not painful at all. But can smell the burning smell lor...anyway, only a few seconds, depending on how big ur keloid is...

U can press on the bone part of ur calf to check for water rentention. But some ppl will have retention on their foot & other parts of the body too. If after pressing wif ur fingers & the skin doesn't bounce back, but left a white depression, then most probably is water rentention.
 
Wanted to test whether baby still have reaction to cow's product so I ate some cheese cake on Friday night. Then yesterday noon, he diarrheoa twice

Ended up needing to use my frozen EBM. However have to wait to defrost so went supermarket buy ISOMIL (soybased powder). Dun know he can take soy or not.. The other time we tried goat's milk and ended up whole day did not poo.
Now pumping but not for baby to consume. Have to throw away the milk.. so wasteful.. sometimes I really scared if eat wrong things - like feeding baby poison. IF the soymilk ok for baby I really want to stop breastfeeding or partial BF...
 
ian oso dun poo everyday...at times 2 days once or 3 days once...PD said if bb digest well..may not hv poo one...and hor he said some bb 1 week poo 1 time...as long as the poo not hard...no blood...it's alrite leh...so u cfm ur bb allergic to goat's milk ah?

I thought my Gerrard is weird, coz sometimes he 3 days then poo poo once. So normally if by 4th day he still don't poo poo, I will get really to bring him see PD. But so far, normally at 4th day he will poo poo twice with big amount.
 
Hi dsii, We scared the cheese still lingers.. The other time we used EBM that was expressed out during a period where I drink Annum and baby stool got blood. PD say it's possible that the content still in mum's body for a few days.. Anyway, today half day we try the ISOMIL and see how it goes. I going back to work soon so need to use formulae also.

And then on my baby poo when drinking goat's milk, the quantity is quite little and the poo is rather dry type. If BM the poo is like mustard. We are not sure whether the poo is consider normal or not - is it??

Is it ok to feed baby with milk powder that is lumpy due to hardening?
Been using the big tin of Similac for 2 months as supplement and the remaining 10% has started to hardened.

I guess to play safe better not, the sign of hardening of powder is most probably because the tin was not close properly for a period of time.

It's recommended by the Milk Manufacturer to discard the contents after open for 1 mth...

TMC also taught us tat when the milk powder hardens, it means it has been exposed to air/water & had turn bad. It's better to throw away the remaining powder than risks getting ur bb sick & have to bring to c doc, right?

Mayb u wanna buy the small tin instead of the big tin? Since u only used it as supplement. Then the powder won't go bad so easily.

as far as I know, babies at this stage will not have diarrhoea...their poo will always be more watery when drinking BM compared to FM which tends to abit drier and bulkier...but if you are still not sure, perhaps you may want to check with your PD?

I noticed when I feed my boy with Fm and when he pushed out the teat, I tried to sit him to burp but he does not like and starts to cry, so I have no choice but to bring him up my shoulder to burp. Then when he finished burping, he continued with his feed but then, he will fidgets alot and keeps pushing out the teat and cry...why like that huh? It will take me a while to put back the bottle back to his mouth...I wonder if it is time to change the teats but then he is so impatient, I am afraid that he will choke. How do we determine when to change the teats? Is there a timing as to how fast babies shld finish their milk from bottle feeding
?

In addition, I also noticed that my boy will not be able to finish his milk during his night feed. After the first burp, he will sleep and no matter what I do, I cannot wake him up to continue his milk...then 2 to 3 hours later, he wants milk again...aiyo...what shld I do manz?
 
blessings, could it be that his appetite is decreasing? PD said at around 3 to 6 months, their growth spurt diminishes and slows down, so their appetite decreases. i was told that when bb is suckling exceptionally hard, it's time to change the teats. so far, my bb boy has changed to no. 2 Avent teats and he's comfortably suckling now.

my bb also like that, burp him liao he cannot finish his milk. now, i finish feed liao then burp, otherwise he'll wake up middle of nite wanting to be fed.
 
Hi misaryeo, My bibi diarrheoa poo is differnt from BM poo. It's really watery and there's mucus in the poo.

Btw, I tried ISOMIL and so far so good. Baby got poo and like BM kind of poo leh.. dun know, maybe it's only for 3 feedings today.. now back to BM so got to monitor his poo... never examine poo so closely ever in my life... ha ha
 
Btw, mummies who use FM, is it difficult to dissolve the powder?? When I use Isomil, I still find lumps no matter how hard i mix. Any tips??

mustard colour is the colour of poo of BM. if you happen to see the bb pooing, it shoots out in a mixture of water and poo/and pellet like sunflower seeds. If something is wrong, the smell is no. 1 smelly, and mucous like/jelly-like. So, the best is to watch what we eat. I read somewhere that it takes 2 wks before the food symptoms clear out of the bb's system. Not sure if really true. But for my bb, there was once i went to my mother in law's home for dinner on saturday, i bf as normal. On sunday morning the first poo is really smelly and really green(i ate lots of chinese spinich). It was like that the whole day. i continued BM as i had nothing to feed her with and after that the system will clear itself out. Aslong as not bacteria or virus, it is ok.my PD once told me if got mucus like poo, slimy, than there is bacteria in intestine. And he will give the lateol sachets(acidolphilus) and give one wk for the stomach to clear system.
FM : Put 3parts room temp water and one part hot water,thenadd FM,usu it works. Cannot too hot or too cold.

I so angy wanna complain abt my maid!!!!How many hrs does your bbies sleep in the day??? Recently, my bb will cry Everytime i pass my gladys to her. She will get so angry. Then the next thing, is she will put her in the sarong cradle and rock and rock till she sleep. Everytime i pass my baby to her(when I need to go toilet, get a drink or what ever, she will put the bb in sarong and rock even when thecc just wake up for less than 10min!!!!!!)
I am so hoppping mad. When my husband ask her why put her in sarong, she told my husband say becoz bb doesn't want her to carry so she make her sleep. I scold her, bb just wake up, why are you making her sleep?She dont want to asnwer me. So angry. Many times already. I scared my bb get brain damage.What makes me mad is when I hand the bb for her to carry, she will immediately make bb sleep. She IGNORES me when I say, why you make her sleep, she just woke up!!!Bau tahan!!! Somemore i scared i scold her too much she slap my bb when i not around. Don't know why my bb always cries when she carry. Yet in front of us, she show she love the bb so much, like so heart-pain when bb cry. I suspect she cant tahan bb crying so always try to rock bb to sleep. If i were the bb, rock and rock in a confined space sure blur one what, dizzy and then fall asleep!!
I no choice but to depend on her,if not how i eat, go toilet, bathe,take care of older girl etc!@!!!Just now, baby wake up at7.00pm, I bf her and she so alert and playing, than i carry her while my maid feed the older girl. than after she finish feeding, my turn to eat, i hand bb over, baby start loudspeaker crying and guess what, before i sit donw to eat, my maid put the bb in the sarong and rock her and while she is crying, STUFF the pacifier in her mouth and force her to suck(I could hear her stifled cry and shout at my maid not to force her to sleep and she really sleep at 7.30pm, Now as i writning, she scream again, buay tahan, gotta go.save my baby!!!

My gal used to b like tat too...later I discovered she has a preference for Pigeon Wide teats bottle. If I give her those normal pigeon bottle or NUK teats, she will refused to drink the milk or will only drink half. I've also spent $$ on new teats, thinking tat she might have difficulty drinking from older teats. I think can only trial & error lor...

I dun think there's a timing on how fast bb finish their milk. For my gal, she can take anywhere between 15mins to 45mins to finish her milk.

My gal also used to wake up at 3am for milk but only drink half then fall asleep. Then 6am will wake up again for feeding. Wat I did was to gradually reduce the milk during night feedings. Sometimes, bb r not hungry even though they wake up in the middle of the night. They just wanna some cuddle b4 they can go back to sleep.

So nowadays, if bb wake up at night, I'll just pat her back to sleep. So she's now used to not waking up for milk already.

I'm using Similac & I find that it always has lumps at the bottom of the bottle. So I use a long spoon to stir the milk evenly.

for my case, i told my maid not to put my son in the sarong during the day. To enforce this, i put the sarong in my room, my maid dared not go into my room unnecessarily.

My maid carries my son when he is not sleeping. i think ur maid not patient enuf. Does she hav any chldren of her own?

I think maybe you try to talk to her by one to one talk in a closed room. Let ur HB take care of the children 1st.

Ask her why is she like that, explain to her why you don't like it and why and what should and should not be done. Give her examples, like if 1 day she were to have her own kid den someone help her but not the way she wants, how will she feel?

Bcoz maids after all, they also human, some of them u use hard way, later they take revenge in other ways.

As for my maid, she normally will carry my baby when she cry. I seldom scold my maid but she knows my temper lar bcoz if I flare up, I can scold until she cry 1 so she ok lor.

If I'm not happy with what she do, I will just tell her nicely and tell her I dun like what she has done and it should not be repeated again. I also told her I'm someone who dun like to repeat myself over and over again. Basically, its better to lay ur cards well to her.

My boy reject milk for the last 2 days.. was quite worried though then during the weekend, my mum went to buy brown rice (zhao(1) Mi(1)) mix with FM and guess what.. he finished it & asking for more.. he seems to be enjoying every bit of it.. hehe.. my mum told me the brown rice hor is good for bb's bones and will become fitter & stronger.. Seems like me & my siblings all drank that.. ehhee.. my 2cents worth!

yeah yeah.. Alfred was born premature with low weight at 2.3kg oni.. luckily he's able to catch up the rest of the bb and now he has reached 5.8kg at 3mths1wk1day.. He's on EBM+FM now..

YES.....he will never cry when he is bathing, will only keep laughing and keep kicking in the water. Waiting for the thermal swimsuit to arrive before I bring him to the pool for a swim.
