dsii/misaryeo,
To increase milk supply or at least release the milk flow, u can try the following:
- rest well
- hv a hot beverage (rich in protein kind) before pump. I usually drink those protein powder (not milo, coffee etc). Our milk supply is usually low in the afternoon and BMSG recommends having a afternoon protein snack, so i take the protein drink (kill 2 bird with 1 stone)
- plenty of fluid but not excessive. The "what to expect when u are expecting" book actually says excessive fluid can also decrease supply (excessive = > 12 glasses)
- be relaxed
For me, if ss is low, it's usually due to inadequate rest due to my bb fussing too much or low protein level.
OC,
I hv the babysafe infant pillow which is hollow in the middle. Cannot use that to solve the "right side" problem cos he will suffocate when sleeping on his tummy!
fruitee,
do u know what is the special feature of an educational plan? My previous insurance agent told me it's very similar to an endowment plan. To me, endowment plan's yield is very low...
kin,
i also give up on the feeding table. My boy drinks very little if i compare it against the table. He's growing well, so i didn't not to let that bother me too much. Let him feed on demand.
YB,
When my fren was in TMC, the advice given was to wake the bb up for milk during the day but leave bb alone at nite. They are still very young, so need the milk for nutrients. I envy your bb can sleep so long in a stretch!
