Hi Fruitee,
perhaps it got to do with the teats? Is it time to change?
BTW, when is the time to change the teat? Mine still using avent newborn...as my boy is rather impatient, so I dun want to change the teat, afraid he will choke.

I tried changing the teats to Avent no.2 but in the end, he vomit everything out.. maybe the hole too big liao.. so I let him stick to the newborn one.. he ok ley.. My boy also impatient that's why I tot could be becos the new born teats too small but in the end...

my boy usually sleeps at ard 10+. Actually wat times he wakes up at nite depends on wat time his last feed is. I experimented these few days and realise if i feed him at ard 11.30pm onwards he will wake up at 6am. But if i feed him at 10+, then he will wake up at 4am. So I intend to give him his last feed at 11.30pm-12am, even when he is sleeping, I'll still feed him, i think this is wat they call dream feed.

u all dun see ian so jumbo hor..actually he quite a small eater...he very jialat leh...at times 120ml milk oso cant finish...then 2 hrs later cry and wants milk..me damn pekcek at times...wanna spank his butt...haiz...OC and Misaryeo said ard this age...shld drink 150-180ml liao...if he can drink more and less frequent gd!!

My friend was sharing with me that it could be due to the teat --- she's using Avent teat, realized that her bb is drinking less & less, changed the teat and it is fine now. Blessings, u still using NB teat? It could be too slow and hence very frustrating for ur bb to suck.
My bb got mood one, sometimes 2 oz (then need to feed very frequently), sometimes 4 oz in one go and then must top up within the hr. Then hor, can finish 4 oz in 5 mins, sometimes 2oz takes 30 mins. sama sama!! i also wishing boy boy can drink more & less frequently but he's not cooperative. Cannot force it down his throat right ?? And becos he doesn't take too much in one go, think he still cannot sleep through the night. Or he's too used to it (definitely once at around 3+ or 4+)...

at least this week, i get a break cos boy boy is staying at MIL's place. Sleeping through the night --- my fren tried this method, dunno whether it works for Ian: gradually reduce his early morning feed (like 3oz, then 2 oz, 1 oz, then 0.5 oz) over 2 weeks. Or some pple feed water instead of milk. I hv no chance to try yet, cos my MIL thinks it's very impt to feed bb when they cry early morning cos they need nutrients to grow...

My mum gave him water to drag his time for feeds. AT first, my boy was like every 2hrs wan feed liao... quite hiong at night loh.. so my mum every 2hrs when he cry, give him some water and he fell asleep.. so drag to 4hrs liao.. increase the milk intake..
so now is like he get his feeds at 11.30pm, his next feeding time is around 4.30 or 5.30am.. siao siao one

my boy is currently drinking 180ml, every 3.5 to 4 hours interval. I did not change his NB teat because he seems to be feeding fine at this moment...will monitor and will change accordingly when needed...hee hee
I did not try to fit my boy to my schedule...I follow his schedule...I guess when babies are getting older and mature, their body system will change accordingly. But every babies are different, so we have to be patience lor...

Shining: Some of my colleagues know i expressed milk in the office, but not the male colleagues. Actually I don;'t see a need to let the colleagues know, unless the topic probe up. It is indeed abit embarrassing to let the male colleagues know about it, especially the younger ones who are not married. although wat we are doing has got nothign to be embarrassed about. If it is really a must to let them know, maybe you can get a female colleague who knows abt this and u trust to rely the message to them?
Blessing: my bb prefers the left! instead of the right. i suspect he might be a left handed, cos seems like he prefers to lift the left hand to his mouth!
OC: dun mentioned abt the ride!

my boy sleep very intermittently also, like sleep half hour wake up, then suck his drumsticks until tired fall asleep again. repeat itself until time for milk. his attention span also very short ley, flash cards barely 10 minutes, he look elsewhere liao, gimme boring look.

My gal will also fidget in the middle of the night or early morning. As long she doesn't cry out, I'll not give her milk. Normally, she'll go back to sleep on her own again...

i read in a book that if bb dun drink enuf in d day, esp d last feed b4 sleep, they tend to wake up in d middle of d nite for milk cos hungry.

i managed to solve this problem by letting my bb sleep on bb pillow, those with a hollow in d middle, then she cant turn her face liao.

mummies, dunno why my BM supply suddenly drop? in fact for the pass few days i have been latching my boy on, as they say latching on will help increase supply. then last 3 days, i didn't latch him on but i did pump my usual 3X a day. anyone knows if exercising will decrease the supply? cos i track down my activities n the food i eat for the pass 3 days, nothing unusual, in fact only that i been to the gym and body abit aching...
hopefully this is only temporary.. i realise also although supply decrease, but the BM seems thicker.. why like that? anyone can help me?

huh sori i cant help u on d decreased BM issue cos i only latch bb on to make her sleep or when she cranky.
maybe sometimes not enuf rest oso BM will drop?
my fren always say eat well, rest well n have plenty of fluids, she recommend to take fenugreek oso.

maybe after latching on, the body dont recognise the pump's power.as the suckling of bb is much stronger then the breastpump. so maybe breast gotta re-adjust. Exercising also may cause you to lose more water thro yr perspiration ,need to up more water consumption, if not, BM thicker and lesser ..coz less water intake

And she can last 3hrs-4hrs. those who saw my loudspeaker baby will know that her being a small drinker doesn;t mean small size.In fact, i don't follow the recommended feeding charts as they may not be as accurate, may not fit our asian babies etc. So I go with the flow.

ai yoh, pai seh you all,i no expert. just experienced. I went thro quite a bit while bfeeding my first girl(she was on FM for the 1st mth of her life due to ABO blood incompatilbility)After whic I went thru a lot to establish back a milk supply for her thro pumping,direct latch, trying al sorts of methds etc.
Eventually, breastfed her for almost 3yrs(direct), but only exclusively for coming 2 yrs.aftrwhich I mix with FM. I blame myself when i couldn't bf her for the first mth, so i really worked hard.
Now i also suffer from low Ms,a little depressed and stressedand now have stupid maid problem.
OC, yr girl also loudspeaker, i remember.I latch her on demand. Nowadays, her demand also drop. like not interested to suckle too. When I need to go out, or teach for a few hrs, I let my maid handle and so put on EBM for at most 2 feeds. That is how i observed her intake. Apart from that, direct latch on is 95%, whic is every2hrs. However, she gets distracted and doesn't drink a proper meal and within half hr, need to latch again......I prefer to latch on, builds bond and keep supply up.....

I went to visit my doc for a review on my slimming pills....lost about 2cm off my tummy & about 1.5kg overall(after taking water retention & fat burner pills for 1 wk). Quite happy wif the results cos my jeans already very loose around the waist, hips & thighs.
Wanted better results, so doc prescribe me another slimming pills which is more ex. He also wants me to exercise more & drink more water cos the fat burner pills will dehydrate my body. Can see my legs still got water retention, so will continue will the water retention pills for another week.
Sigh....no choice cos my sis's wedding is end of tis mth...no time already...

YB, now i remember it is you who went to the doc for slimming pills. Did the doc says it is safe to take while Bfeeding. From what i know, so far there is no slimming pill that is breastfeeding friendly, esp so if it has to be prescribed by doctor(much stronger).I think you look fine, for someone who gave birth recently. Is that the reason why your girl is having those pimples on her face. Coz those pimples look quite bad as in they don't heal well. Remember i was asking you abt them?want to PM me the names of those pills as well as the water retention one so i can check up for you??
