hihi, aiyo my gal gave me a hard time last nite.yesterday she at mich's place still guai guai slept thru but when goin back time in kelly's car cranky already cos feeding time. but reach hm feed liao still cranky all d way till 11 plus until i no time to hv dinner or do anything,cos i was alone, last nite hb worked late n MIL went out. then my MIL came back says she expected it cos usu bb go out come hm will like dat. but she oso say must let bb get used to it lah so i will still bring her out but make sure go hm at nite not alone..hahahah. anyway i was so exhausted n then now got headache...sianz

Check with mummies that use pump to pump out BM ... I am using manual pump to pump , and everytime i pump , my nipple will be very very painful , and recently , i realise that my nipple outer skin , become very thick n hard , and when i am cold or what , my nipple is painful , and when ever i finish pumping , my nipple got alot of skin,if i pull out the skin , my nipple will have holes! ... what happen to me ? can i still continuse pump ?

Whitelady, which pump u using..? maybe yr nipples are sore. U use yr breastmilk apply on yr breast and air it. U got breast shell? u put on the breast shell so that yr nipples will be aired and not rubbed against yr bra. Since it's manual, u can adjust the strength..dont squeeze so hard when u start coz u need to stimulate yr nipples first.. it shld be less painful when milk's out...

Hi mummies,
Just came back from mum's plc. Fever subside already, but still got sore throat, cought, headache & dizzness. So left my gal in my mum's hse again.
Dunno wat my mum did leh, last night at my mum's plc, my gal slept from 1am to 9am in the morning!! My mum said she put bb lay sideways cuddling a bolster & put a big pillow behind bb's back for support. She said sometimes bb wake up at night not b'cos of feeding, but b'cos they want some cuddle & comfort. Once they feel secure, they'll go back to sleep again. That's y by letting bb cuddle a bolster, it creates the feeling of being cuddled & mayb it comforts them lor...I'll try c if it works when bb home tomorrow night.

i agree wif e other mummies tat e gathering was lotsa fun. i enjoyed myself chatting wif e mummies n learned lotsa things too (i didnt know until yesterday tat BF bbs need 2 b burped n if bb pee after they shit, it means no more shit liao). very pai seh 4 reaching so late!
mich, thks again 4 offering ur plc. beautiful plc (LOL abt e red wall in e kitchen), great food & fantastic host. ur girls very pretty, like mummy!

oh my god! somebody help me... my bb slept at 4AM yesterday!! wat is wrong? bb was at home whole day ,whole afternoon was fine,, till nite time, he was very sleepy, can sleep in bouncer but once in cot, he'll cry.. wanted to let him cry to sleep, but cos at the nite scare neighbours scold.. oh no! will it be the ame againn tonight? the day b4 sleep at 1am, yesterday 4am, wat's next?wat is wrong wif my bb?

My EDD will be on the 7th of Nov so is till have a few more months to go..
Btw, any new mommies would like to share how much thier total bill for staying in TMC 1 bedded or 2 bedded room with epidural.
Hope u can help me as i am doing a research if whether it's worth to take up TMC 1 bedded or 2 bedded room.
Would like to hear from mommies.

hong, no leh.. day time he was fine.. perectly fine lor.. he didn;t cry thru out lah.. he just wants to be carried and asked for more milk. then he will fall asleep in my arms.. when i put himin cot.. he'll sleep for less then half an hr and cry for cuddle again... i read up some articles it says could be growth spurts, if bb suddenly ask for more milk at night before sleep and fuss alot. nothing can be done.. just got to attend to bb.. but dunno why till 4am leh..

if ur bb not feeling unwell then maybe like wat YB says, they jus want to cuddle for sense of security. at times when my bb like dat i will try diff methods when all d usual are done like change diaper n feeding, so far those dat worked for my bb are:
-check room temp, maybe bb feeling too warm or too cold, a few times i switched off air-con then she immediately can sleep
-latch her on n let her suckle for comfort,she dozed off quite fast after 2-3 mins
-carry her out of d dimly lit room, change environment, switch on lights bright bright...surprisingly my bb will immediately stopped crying, closed her eyes n dozed off!
-let her sleep on my bed between me n hb first then transfer her back to cot after she goes into deep sleep...but this one is my last resort cos dun wan to let it become a habit
again diff babies are diff, gotta slowly catch their pattern thru trial n error, dats for my case cos methods like giving pacifier n letting her listen to soothing music didnt work for my bb. we are all learning, think jus gotta be patient n dun forget dat all these are part n parcel of d 'package' when we received our little bundle of joy

Dear mummies, Pls Help! I know its common that bb vomit. But my son is 1mth+ and hes throwing out some milk almost after every feeding! Even though he burps, my bb will still spit out some milk after lying down after sometime. also when were feeding sometime he will cry and feel like his in tremendous agony but still wants to drink.
Is it because we over fed him or problem with the FM?

it's normal for bb to vomit... ny boy used to be like that too... brought him to PD... was told bb stomach very small n shallow so cant drink too much at one go... if have to, give your bb lesser but more interval... tiring for u but at least he can take in the milk. Some could be due to formula... some bb r lactose intoralence... cant take cow's milk formula, have to take soy milk formula. which formula is your bb taking? how old is your bb?

Hi all mummies who total breastfeed,
It's amazing how all of u can do it... it seems so difficult...
I tried so hard... total breasfed my bb the first few weeks... at first it was ok... she latch on for 15-20mins one side and can last her for 2-3hrs...even at night... then she needs to suckle for 40mins and only last for 2hrs too. Finally she needs to latch on for every half hour and my nipples were so sore and painful as she tends to pull it hard! The nipple shell doesnt help much for me as it was too big for her to suckle well.
Finally i gave up! I gave her bottle instead. Also i'm not confident in feeding her outside as i took off my top to nurse with my bra on one side. Plus she suckle for so long.... if i nurse her in the public, i'll be stuck in the nursing room for more than 1/2 hr... How did u gals did it?
Ilm thinking of latching her on again... tried last night (3+am)... she only suckle for 15-20mins, one side only (I still had to pump out the remaining) and lasted her till morni feed at 7+... It's so tiring... and kept wondering if it's enough for her... Please help... Any advise? I'm hoping to breastfeed her till 6mths. Will be gog back to work next year, Jan.

Hi Alvina, Me too. Facing the same problem. Now most of the time I use bottle. He fall asleep when he finish the bottle (within 40mins) and I can rest. If I breastfeed (which I did this morning and afternoon), whole day he needs milk, dun know why. So tiring. Everytime I told myself this is the last time I'm going to direct latch. But then again I tried. This time, I think it's going to be the last time.. haiz.. dun know.

Today my bb is 1mth & 10 days old
since born we start gving him Mamex Gold (recommended by fren) and taking ard 100ml 3 hr interval. He actually wanted more but we try not to give more than 110ml. heard abt soy milk, might try it because during pregnancy my wife will also throw up after taking milk (might be the reason...)
