Jurong Gal,

sad.gif

hi gals...

wow.. so many plan to csec? but dun worry, as long as bb and u are healthy and well, csec is not tat bad.
happy.gif

jabs - i also thinking of going to polyclinic. but they dun hv 6-1. so maybe for 6-1, will go GP, then rest go poly. :p

Sandy,
i cant really sit with my legs close.

Jurong gal,
overdue meaning got to go to c-section?

MTDT - How come Polyclinics no 6in1 anymore ah? For my 2nd girl, they used to have 5in1 and 6in1 leh.. My #2 born in Apr Last yr... not too long ago mah..

i read in jun thread tat they all along dun hv 6-1 leh. only hv 5-1, so hv to take the hep b jab separately.

ur #2 took 6-1 in poly?

Hi Hong,

my gynae say if natural gotta wait at least 2 weeks that is too long liao, so most prob will c-sec as induction may not work for me...

hello, me back from meeting....

Steph., how much does the 5in1 cost? in polyclinic?

MTDT, ya, think i also heard polyclinic doesnt has the 6in1... only private has this jab...

I can't really rem leh... hehehe 1 yr ago liao..
sad.gif

I took 1st Jab then continued in GP cause TPY Polyclinic closed for renovation previously.

Gebbera, If I'm not wrong its not much diff leh...
I actually prefered to go GP cause I go to my family doc whom I'm more comfortable with...

I see the nurses jab a bit scary.

misaryeo, (think you went for your gynae's appt le) just realised i'm in the same week as you, wk37 too.. and our bb's weight also quite close....
happy.gif

mummies, after we'd delivered, our bb need to do hearing test right. if we dont wanna do it during our hospital stay, by when can do the test again?

Hi everyone, my baby Gerrard was born at 0620am today weighing 3.215 Kg.

Just a short labour story before I rush back to my wife bedside. She was having bad contractions around 4am plus, spotting was getting worse, gave a call to Gynae and was advise to admit to TMC. Wife then took a bath before going to TMC. Reach hospital about 5.20 plus, she went to the labour ward while I settle some adminstrative stuff. Went to labour ward to look for her at around 6am, baby was coming out, 3 contractions, a few push during the contraction and baby was born. Wife was brave, no epidural, no laughing gas. Not even a scream or a shout from her at all. Steady steady her, and baby was cooperative.

Gotta wash up, pack things and go back to her liao. Cya........... you gals turn will be soon.......

Real soon......trust me, all the best!!

i read tat polyclinic hep b jab is $15, and 5-1 jabs are less than $300. the consultation is $4/visit. so total will be $350. (2 hep b jabs, 3 5-1 jabs, n 5 visits)

actually like not much diff from GP - 6-1 jabs.
thus i rather than GP's 6-1 jabs loh. for other jabs, not sure abt the price liao. :p

congrats liverpool!!

wow, ur wife labour story really short and sweet leh! admit to TMC and deliver within 1 hr! Bravo! :p

Oh ya, I will be also doing the hearing test for baby gerrard at about $60.

The only bad thing about the labour story. Today TMC was damm full, all beds taken up. Wife have to stay in labour room until 1pm then can be transfer up to her room. Sianz......

geberra
y dun u want to do in hospital??? since u r there might as well rite?? fruitee said $60 for the test...

liverpool11 - Goodness gracious, u serious ah? Delivered in the morning, only till 1pm then got room? Then she had breakfast and lunch in Delivery Suite?

wow.. stay in labour ward till 1pm! :p

think TMC really need to expand... they are always having full house! ;p

Stephanie,

Yeh man, until 1PM!!! No choice lah, what to do, all babies decided to pop within this few days, I don't think anyone can control.

Yap, she had her breakfast n lunch in the delivery suite.

Steph, you mean the nurses at polyclinic? aiyo... they must be very rough then.... actually i also dont quite like polyclinic loh, mainly becos of their poor services though they indeed charge cheaper....

i dont have any family doc... thinking that i might to use the PD that my gynae recommend... though my gynae is from TMC, she told me she doesnt has in mind a good PD in TMC to recommend me... the PD that she recommended is located at Toa Payoh though... think this PD will also me my baby doc in TMC when i delivered....

geberra - for the hearing test, think latest hv to do by 3-4mths.

read in my son's health booklet. they hv the "hearing test" section and indicate (if not done during birth, or 4-6weeks old)

heard tat poly's hearing test is v cheap too. :p

Geb - Sometimes in POlyclinic is heng suay one.. some nurses whom does the jab quite nice and gentle...

My girl's most jabs done in POlyclinic cause its included in hospital package mah but 5in1 completed in GP.

geb - wow... no good PD in TMC!! hahhah..
tat's sounds bad! :p

actually PD jabs are not tat expensive. the expensive part is the consultation fee. :p
my PD in TMC charges $40/visit.

Congrats Papa Liverpool.... wow, your wife really brave, she cope with the labour so well! Thumbs up! Remember to post your bb's pic here for us mummies to see ya....

Dsii, ya lah... saw you liao lah... hahaha... if you still continue to koon, me wanna sms wake you up liao ar.... hahhaa...

geberra
hahhaa....ya loh..wonder y my hp so quiet..hehehe..the weather...warm loh...but still better than past few days...aiya..if got on aircon..tell u im still kooning now ah..hahhahaa

Erm.....actually she did ask for epidural the 1st thing she go into the labour ward, but too late liao, when nurse check, say can feel baby head liao. So chop chop go in, baby chop chop come out. But am surprise at how well she handle, heard alot of labour story, I thought I would be badly bruise scratch or "injure". She just calmly grasp my hand n "push", no screaming no shouting. Maybe the massage and yoga really helps. LOL.....

dsii, me wanna do the hearing test in TMC... dun want to waste time and make another trip down to TMC loh... so now have to check properly and ask those mummies who delivered in TMC... do homework mah... kekeke...
happy.gif

Steph, so far i dun have any experience with the nurses, but they ought to be gentle loh...
it's my mum, she had very bad experience waiting to see the doc in polyclinic... my poor mum gotta wait for more than 2hrs+ waiting to see a doc.... imagine her sitting outside the room for 2hrs+... that's terrible! if i were there with her, sure will complaint and make a big fuss!

If u carrying infant (gotto go polyclinic the next day for check up after discharge), they will have priority.

Normally very fast one.. See doc wise for my kids are still at my family doc

steph, is it? didnt know carry infant will have priority...
happy.gif

dsii, tomoro will be my turn to see gynae... now abit excited wor... and also tomoro i'm collecting my swiss rolls... yummy... you dont drool again hor.... hahaha....

Liverpool,
congrats! Ur wife really have a short labour.

Gebbera, Dsii,
$60 hearing test is cheap leh.. 2 yr ago is $80 at Mt E.

Gals,
do u shout if u are in pain? I cant shout when i am in pain. Even when i take those viking ride i also cant shout when i am very scare.

MTDT,
actually i was also surprised to learn there is no good PD in TMC. hmmm... which PD are you using and where is the clinic located? you know, it's better to know/have more good PDs as a form of backup...

HI all mummies,

I had a false alarm few days ago to share with u all..

On 3/7/06 Monday..

3am
Wake up tummy cramps (feel like bad menses cramp) and went to pee

3.30am
Started to have contractions and started timing (contractions are 2 to 3mins apart and each one lasted 20 to 30secs)
Every contractions is painful (like very bad menses cramps kind of pain), but not much pain in between contractions
Can feel baby moving inside actively

3.45am
Woke hubby up
Clear bowels
hubby started to pack remaining items into maternity bag
I rested on sides as very tired and contractions were very painful.. cannot talk also

5am
Remembered antenatal class say dun go hospital so soon
Decided to stay at home and rest first before going to hospital..
Fell asleep
Hubby wake up on and off to how I am doin

7am
Wake up
Pass urine
Contractions still persist but not very painful (contractions are 2 - 10mins apart and each one lasted 20 - 30secs)
Feel very tired
Can feel baby moving on and off

7.45am
Very hungry so took breakfast and watch CNA on TV
Contractions still persist but some moderate pain, some no pain at all (still 2 - 10mins apart and easch last 20 - 30secs)

8.30am
Felt funny, dunno y contraction pain seems to subside
Very tired so went back to sleep

10.45am
Wake up
No more painful contractions
Only felt like normal braxton hicks

11am
Called Clinic and was told to go there for a check

12noon
Reach clinic
Braxton hicks continue... no pain at all
Extremely tired

1.30pm
Finally my turn to see doc
Dr perform VE and say cervix is close
Dos says:
its a false alarm, the real labour contractions will not go away eveb after sleep
May experience a few false alarm before the real thing comes
But false alarm are indications of actual labour will be soon
Was told if contractions last for more than 3hrs then probably is the real labour
Presented our birth plan to him.. hee
Had discussion on the birthplan and doctor and both parties compromise to a final copy

2pm
Left clinic
Go for lunch
Go home and sleep

MTDT, TMC got a paed at level 2 if I'm not wrong. Quite good right?

When my son was previously coughing very badly, neighbours around all recommended me to TMC say that Paed very good...

So I did bring him in but didn't really "try" her skills cause DS got bronchitis so very obvious needs to be admitted so I chose to admit him in KKH instead...

That trip to TMC Paed costs me $60-$80 if I'm not wrong with no medication.

hong
me too..hahaha..will just keep my mouth shut....

cos mt e mah..everything oso ex..hahaha..last time me at mt e no hearing test leh...pengz

geberra
aiyo..ya loh..u r collecting the swiss rolls..let us know if they are nice...just now went to BP thread got ppl wanna organise the fat free ice cream leh..at pasir ris..hahaha..so tempted...

geberra
