Share my labour story
1/7/06 Felt cramp when accompany my daughter Ally to sleep at nite around 10pm plus but I just ignore it. The cramp came on and off. I was confused it is contraction pains or just BH contractions. Start to record down the timing. The cramp was 25-30 minutes interval. Anyway, felt asleep around 3am plus. Wake up around 6plus still can felt the cramp but the cramp was bearable and the timing still like 25-30minutes interval. Decided to bath, clear bowel and wait for strong contraction.
2/7/06 Wait till 9am plus decided to take a cab to KKH to find out what wrong. When reach there, duty doctor help to check the cervix dilation. She told me the cervix only dilated 3CM and baby head still very high. Baby JJ still not engage yet. So sad! She ask me admit to my room and rest there and walk around to make the baby head go further down.
About 1pm DR John Tee arrived and checked my cervix. He was so happy, told me 3CM dilated, baby can deliver today and ask me go down to delivery ward. But I was a bit sad because already 1 hours plus and it is still 3CM. John Tee told me he wanted to burst my water bag so that it can help faster the labour process. Reached delivery ward at about 1.20pm and Dr John Tee helped me to burst the water bag. Felt a gush of warm water flowing out immediately and at the same time I was been put on drip by the midwife. Midwife drew 3 tubes of blood from my right hand to send for test. It was for cord blood donation purpose. John Tee and midwife told me estimated I can give birth around 4.30-5pm.
About 1.35pm started to feel the pain getting unbearable so I decided to ask for Happy Gas. About 2.10pm I felt the pain getting stronger and stronger. Hubby was standing next to me to encourage, support and guiding me with the breathing exercise. 2.15pm I cant take the pain anymore, kept shouting and the midwife came to check my dilation. And was told only dilated 5CM but I am suspecting how can 5CM be so painful and continuous?? Hubby request checked again and the midwife told us actually 8CM liao. She told me not to push the baby out when I told her I felt the urge to push. Midwife ask me to wait till John Tees arrival because he is still doing C-Section operation at other ward.
Dr John Tee finally arrived about few minutes later. He allowed me to pushing the baby out. With one hard push Baby JJ finally reaching this world on 2/7/06 at 14.21pm.
The midwife and gynae told me Im very lucky because my labour was super short. Less than 1 hours my cervix from 3CM dilated till 10CM. If all patients like me they no business liao! Haha!
He birth weights is 3.135KG. Tall: 51CM Head circumference is 33CM.
kfc had it on sat.. all junk food..ai yo.. wanna eat better eat now.. cos aftr delivered i must go on diet liao...
