Hi YB,

will try to do it gently lor...perhaps I am too rough? hahaha....I am using my index finger...dunno if it is too "big" for his mouth...hahaha. It is the inner part of the tongue that I find it difficult to clean lor....
 


Hi all, Thanks for all suggestions on how to "entertain" baby. Will try them. My hubby back and I'm so happy. Going for my yoga class later. Miss my yoga session so much!!!

aiyo...my boy has been disturbing me the whole night and he himself also did not get a good sleep...wanted milk about 2 hours later after his 1st feed. Then when dawn arrives, he becomes very irritated...so latch him on...then realised that he wanted to poo...mummies, do your babies' become very irritable and frustrated when they want to poo?

For my gal, when she 1 2 poo, she will suddenly keep quiet lor, den will stare at me, legs n hands all will stop moving, all put straight straight, den she will "gek", see d action very cute.
 
Hi my gal also same as Mich, veri cute ! but 1 thing about her is she wont cry after poo...so if we miss the action then we wont noe till check the diaper...so dirty : )

My gal sleeping thro the nite for around 8hr since 8wks, so by time she wake up, juz ready for me to prepare her to my mum place liao...then she sleep till 11am...! active in the aftern then zzz around 9pm....!

My gal love pram n carseat, maybe cause she had been using since birth for check up, then shopping every wkend after 1 mth! Rem. first time she take pram look so blur n scare cause like not protected , heehee! Carseat is like her special seat so no complaint...

JP..muz clean leh, I never clean for 2mth then got thrush liao!

My gal intake also around 90-120ml 4hrly! per day only around 600ml...less then normal requirment guideline of 120-170ml per KG

Same lor, once the pram is stationary, my gal will start to cry. At least she can tahan sitting in a stationary pram for about 10mins...haa..haa...

How u managed to train ur gal to take the carseat & pram? Even though I started taking my gal out after 1 mth, she'll still cry whenever we put her in carseat or pram leh...

when i went shopping..some pregnant mama even walked up to me and asked what i ate while pregnant..sis i eat anything special thats y ian has so much hair...
 
Hi Yenny, I'm afraid that I can't join you all tomorrow already.. hmm.. My hubby can only take one day off tomorrow so wanna spend more time with him. So will be going out with hubby and take baby for a walk also tomorrow. Most probably go look around at Orchard area and see any interesting baby stuff. We got vouchers for Mother@works and first few years so will probably buy some "ma sak" for baby.

Btw, what sort of games you all play with baby? Have you started to read story books and use those visual tools to help stimulate baby sight etc..??

apply either baby oil or olive oil onto the area and leave it for a few hours, then use a comb to scrap it away and wash it thereafter....

it's ok. join us next time. As for cradle cap, my boy had it last month. I just apply baby oil on his scalp every morning after bath. I did not even brush it off. Then it disappeared after a while.

also no lunch for me. having lunch at my mil's law. I wont be staying too late though, probably need to help mil run some errands and be back in time to look after bb so she can cook dinner for the family.

my boy also like that. if we bottlefeed him EBM, he will only take 90ml max in one session and will cry for milk in 3 hrs. sometimes, only 60ml so only last him 2 hrs. Make my mil so bz (hv to keep warming EBM for him). I think he takes more when i latch him on (cos he can nap 4 hrs+). Dunno how to make him take more from the bottle.

any mummies has suggestions?

YB - That's good leh....tahan sitting in a stationary pram for about 10mins coz 10mins can do quite a lot of thing...

Lucida - Me read storybook to my boy, play finger and toe games (This little pig....), etc. With regards to cradle crap, use olive oil and leave it for an hour or so then wash it off lor.

Lok - Not to sure leh coz for me, my boy will push the bottle away when he has enough. So, I just feed on demand lor...

blessings, ya, my bb also like that. get frustrated/irritated when he wants to poo poo. now when i see signs of him wanting to poo, i put him on the little potty.

personal opinion: eat hand better than eat mittens. at least can clean his hands easily but u can't keep the mittens clean or keep changing them. My bb also does the same and it seems very delicious cos he makes a lot of noise!

my boy had a really bad case of cradle cap that lasted a month. MOre than 3 quarter of his head was covered with it and takes a while to get rid of the hardened patches.We had to apply olive oil and comb it off during bath time as just washing it off didnt help.

My girl also loves sucking her fist and fingers. I just let her suck, removed her mittens when she turned 7 weeks.
 
Cradle cap:

I bought the dentinox cradle cap shampoo from Guardian. Helps to get rid of it and also prevents it from coming back.
 
Hello Mummies,

Can i ask is it alright if bb sleeps thru the nite now that he is coming 3 mths? No need to wake him up for feed or change his diaper?
 
i havent removed my boy's mittens cos he will scratch his face unless "disfigured" even though I have cut his nails...probably I did not cut thorough enough lor....still have sharp edges!

i think it is ok for the baby to sleep thru the night if he/she is able to....as for changing diaper, unless the baby has diaper rash (which have to be changed every 3 hours) or poo, then I think it is ok to leave it lor...but the diapers must be leak proof lah!

I'll file my gal's nails after cutting them. Helps to reduce the sharpness... But still have a bit scratches lah, cos they will grab till very hard one...but lucky for bbs, their skin heals very fast. But poor mummies like us will have lots of scratch marks.

Yes, I use the normal nail filer.
