same situation! Pple often say #2 will pick up FASTER... I think my Irv not stupid lor, haha, SOME things he picks up real quicker than his sis did. But verbal skills lag waaay behind hers. But hers was possibly a wee bit more advanced than usual (whereas her motor skills not that honed).
Irv's vocab:
"GAIGAI, BYEBYE", "door" "oo-per" (open) "naber" (numbers) "mama" "ahma" "porpor" "jehjeh" "deh-deh" "nan-nan" "car" "ba" (refers to everything including Bus, ball) "choochoo" "ber" (bird) "mam-mam" (eat) "more". "bed" "dog".
And "NONONONONONONO".
Actually once I started listing out everything he CAN do... it doesn't *feel* that bad, compared to if I don't list out, hah! (But #1's list was way longer at that age lor)

And yes, Jezoir's real impressive with his knowledge of Alphabets- I saw that day!

I read your boy's list of vocab hor... i feel even more nervous.. sigh maybe J really got difficulties...

ya lor everyone said no.2 sure talk faster blah blah blah .... hehee... Maybe she watches too much tv! S was linguistically advanced too.. he speaks vv early and have extensive vocab. I remembered he used to make me feel so amazed... and my cousins were all so taken aback by the things he said.

hmm I'm a second-born. My elder sis was a real chatterbox, so when young, she (very bossy also lah) spoke enough for both of us. I'm trying to reassure myself that my #1 talks alot... ur S too yah? I'm with u on the endless worrying, heh, I remember when Irv was younger and he suddenly seemed very NON-responsive to me. Then a gf highlighted that maybe prior, I was the whole world to him, hence he responded to me immediately... and then he discovered the rest of the world and got distracted! :p

Actually zoo phonics is being taught in GUG too lei ...

Panda, I checked with my PD. He said can use fresh milk as a supplement but do not take that an replace with FM.

Panda : i'm an advocate of fresh milk !!! i give K any type which we buy - usually full fat magnolia milk - dont give semi skim till after 2 yrs old. The kids sld get their vitamins/minerals from the food that they are eating now. And my PD is very very against FM cuz it's highly processed and made of whey rather than the fresher part of the milk - but tt's her opinion la

Zoo Phonics - i think there's a branch at Siglap ! is it new ? anyone knows if it's good ? My girl is feeling so bored couped up at home - feel bad not brining her out more often :p

Have you been to Seimpii for trial? I went into the Seimpii at Funan yesterday to check it out. Now, only got Sunday 2.30pm class.
 
Check with you all. Usually for a tin of FM, must be it consume within a month, else after 1 month hv to throw the remaining? even for goat's milk powder?

My girl go for the 4yrs old class even though she only 3 now (after she pass the assessment). Learning the pronunciation of A to Z. Every week they will teach one alphet, do art and craft for the alphet learn. Sing and story telling. se quite like it so just let her continue.
Will start my boy in Jan class because no trial class in Bukit Timah. Anyway the deposit can be refund if given 1mth notice. Will update more after attend.

I usually give Mandy Pura or Magnolia. I dun like HL taste. Veri fake to me :p. Let Chloe try some b4 she leave for aussie.. hehe.. in case she dun like it. Aussie has their own brands.
I gave Mandy Pura Kids in aussie. Not available in spore. Taste alot nicer, when she comes back to sin, she dun really like the normal Pura milk.

there is one at thomson. Imperial Court.

Are you still breastfeeding? How come the FM can last more than 1 month? I need 3 tins of goat's milk FM every 2 weeks. One time gotta buy at least a dozen, sometimes 2 dozen. But I think the milk intake slowly decreasing. A weaning off slowly on his own already. He dun really likes his milk anymore.

for me: morning still oatmeal/bread, lunch is porridge, mee sua etc, dinner is rice with soup n veg/fish

outside food - i will give him watever I eat... but i will usu choose those area with the less sauce or gravy.
