I've no idea cos we also cut Bray's nails when he's sleeping.

He won't let us cut his nails, hair or clean his ears!
 
Haircut :
Have not bring Jerica for haircut yet. Trying to grow out her hair so that can tie them. Finally long enough to tie 2 pony tails. So far only snip her fringe twice when it touches her eyes.

Nails :
Jerica also hates to cut her nails. She will pull her fingers away. We often had to distract her and do it while she is watching Hi-Five...haha
 
Good afternoon!

Haircut:
ER moved a lot during his 1st haircut. Need to give him stuff to distract him. 2nd haircut went well. Hubby said he sat down quietly.

Nails:
Have not managed to cut for him successfully in awake state. Hence, always done while he's napping.

Ears:
He will lie down still for a few minutes while we dig his ear. We always ask him to "wait" and "don't move" when cleaning. Have managed to unclog his ears a few times so far.

HX is also into Hi 5 nowadays...that's the only show that can made her sit still for some time...no luck with barney and sesame street....

is kelly much better now? as for wes, he had to take antibiotics and that cure him.. fever gone else fever kept coming back due to the infection.

She is back home now. She is down with hi-fever this morning and docs said she has ulcers in her upper gum. Wes went through something similar rite? What did his docs said? How long it takes to cure? What should I look out for?

No lei ... fvr dropped to 38.6. Her temp was 39.4 when we reached KKH. Doc did not give antibiotics lei. No medication for the ulcers too cos he said very hard to apply cos quite inner.

doc said it's germs spread somewhere... not sure where he contacted them also. doc prescribe antibiotics, he took and finally over in a week time. must force them to take the antibiotics else cant cure fast and fever will keep haunting them

i went to SBCC AMK to see Dr Koh. you wanna bring her for 2nd opinion?

kelly eating well? wes was refusing food and drink then coz it must be too painful.

i've asked him.. he said it's not coz only his throat is affected. but he did ask me to monitor.

you gotta 'force' her to drink something.. let her eat watever she wants as long as she eats.

wes only like bread and biscuit then and refused all other food. hence no choice just give him bread... run down so much

am thinking it's better to bring to another doc also. infection must be treated... wonder why they didnt gave kelly anything? if no infection then no so worrying...

how to keep the fever down???

Okay, will check to see which PD is available today. Winston clinic is closed tonite, I think. I will double check. Quite worrying loh ... I regretted going back there ... in my heart, I told myself go other hosps because i had many bad experiences with them. But in my mind, i told myself that must go KKH cos they have Kell's medical history records. Sigh.

my bro's baby got high fever and diarrhoea for the past 11 days...went to KKH, CGH and Mt A...all cannot diagnose, just ask him to monitor...was given antibiotics..
 
Paula: Hope Kelly get well soon. Think better see another GP for 2nd opinion. How can dun give ulcer medicine just becos it's difficult to apply?!?! Then they should give liquid substitute for the ulcer cream mah.

Stupid hor? That's what the doc told me lei. Cos I asked him, dont u need to prescribe anything for her ulcers? He said no use ... cos too inner to apply. Then I asked, won't it get worst. He said, yes, it will get worst.

dun know leh...all the stupid docs just give fever med and antibiotics..also cannot tell why got diarrhoea for so long....

When Kell is down with 40 deg temp for less than 1/2 a day, docs already want her warded ... let along ur bro's baby ... 11 days. My godness. How old is the baby?

His boy is only 7 mths old....his fever did shot up to 40 deg plus and he was like going into convulsions...but kk didnt mention anything abt admission............siao one, double standard.....

Based on my experiences with them, they will not discharged bb under one year old if they went in with hi-fever lei. I think go Gleneagles or Mt E ... too small liao. Dun let it drag. Demand for blood test if need be.
 
Paual, Jerica had ulcer on her inner lips last month, she was given gel for her ulcer and fever medicine. Then past weekend she had fever, so we brought her to clinic and doc says she got red spots in her throat, the beginning of ulcers, so prescribed her antibiotics for 5 days.

Mspiggy, its ok then. Nevermind. Thanks for the trouble though.
 
oh no, poor Kell - PC - give her fruits if she's not taking water - nice juicy honeydew, watermelon - it's cold so that helps too ! K likes it esp when she's teething !

Steffi: Your bro's baby sound serious, and only 7 months. Better go another hospital to see if can help. No joke having fever & diahhrea for 11 days for a 7 month-old. The whole episode may affect the baby adversely.
 
Sorry, MsPiggy. Didn't know that you are travelling.

Steffi, I echoed what Rodeo had said. I have been frequenting PDs and hospitals and all docs told me that if fever did not go away after day 5, it is not a case of viral fever and might be something else. 7 months is very young.
 
Spice, hope jerica recovers soon. She is on antibiotics too ... mine isn't. I think I will bring her for another opinion. 5 red spots lei. Look painful to me. Is she getting better? I think there is a ulcers viral going on ... so many of the bbs are recovering from that. Sigh.
