Mel loves bread and mantuo. I have also given her steam egg (she used to like it but hates it now), french toast (without sugar) and scramble eggs with cheese.
Oh have u tested the egg white allergy yet? I gave Mel french toast with whole egg a few weeks ago and she was fine. Then I decided to give her scramble egg (with the white). To my horror, she developed allergic reaction and vomitted after that. Lucky I got my medicine on standby at home.

I think she's like me, very prone to allergies, so I'm quite strict in allowing other people (including my ILs) to let her try out new/adult food. The medicine is actually antihistamine (use for normal cold). The one that Mel PD prescribe is chlorpheniramine. She also gave me a cream -Fucicort.

My husband has pretty serious sensitive skin too.. so I'm quiet worry kaelyn skin will be too.

I do give Shannon some rice, but it's only after she finishes her porridge, and if she is at the dinner table with us while we are starting on dinner. Normally will use the chopsticks to give her little bits of plain rice, more to entertain her so that she doesn't scream the whole restuarant down. I realise she gets super talkative and LOUD! when she finishes her food and gets bored... then she will start talking to every Tom, Dick and Harry and if they dun respond , she will go 'Eh! very loudly' and if they still dun pay her attention, then the screaming starts, oh gosh... little mananic in the making!

She will normally bring Vania down in the morning and afternoon sometimes. Who knows what they are feeding her. There are pple come and go at the store. So some pple say PD say can eat ice cream since it is milk anyway. Others comment cannot give. But they still give anyway even when Vania is not asking!! If she is screaming or crying or whatever, I can still 'understand'. But there she is, all calm and happy, and she will say poor thing havent had ice cream for a while. then voluntarily open and give it to her. Haiiiizzzzz.

I am still breastfeeding now and I've also no cravings for BD so its normal. Its also because of the progesterone present that curbs your "appetite". Besides, its also quite dry and the last few times we tried to BD, we had to use alot KY else alot of "friction". However, nowadays, I think my progesterone level is dropping cuz I notice its more fluidy nowadays compared to last time. Used to be really bone dry until recently. Guess I may be ovulating soon. So for now, I'm still enjoying carefree days where I can wear white pants and skirts worry-free. Enjoy it while it lasts. Hee. Not really looking forward to PMS after enjoying 2 years of carefree days.

Sorry, just saw your latest posting after posting my previous posting. I can totally understand how you feel. My ILs are also like this. Totally no respect. I being a bad-tempered person myself got into a very heated riff with my FIL a few months back because I shouted at my FIL for disturbing Ariene while she was almost asleep. The argument was so bad that my FIL refuses to come to my house anymore for dinners but I really don't care less cuz I think its better for everyone this way. He's quite a terrible person. I still cannot forget and forgive those days when he'll smoke in the house when I was pregnant.

Wow i think u're very tolerant of ur ILs! I get really unhappy when my parents & ILs try to feed Janelle food that she's not supposed to take. Actually my parents are the 'culprits' - they will feed her food without asking my permission! Scolded them a few times already but still no use

Someone asked abt giving baby soup (can't rem who) - i also cook soup for baby. Pork bones, carrots, potato, sweetcorn. Tastes nice
No need seasoning. Actually if ur soup has no seafood nor seasoning can give baby to drink.

My sis was commenting that I'm too up tight abt my kid. She feels that I'm SO particular abt wat he eats. (cos i'm like some mummies here too, dont really like to give him too salty or too much "adult" food) As I hv recently replacing some veg to organic veg, its totally pointless to her. I'm particular abt nap time and last feed as if he doesnt take enough nap or finish feed, I'll suffer in the night as he'll toss and turn alot. I'll wake to make milk but no guarantee will drink and sometimes will fuss. Haiz, I'm the one looking after him and the night time is the one that kills! I told her she didnt understand as her son was alot easier and she left the baby with mom and mom was the one suffer not her. She only brought home on wkends. I planned to leave my boy wif mom tonight as I'm really worn out and had to work earlier tomorrow but she wanted to leave her boy with mom too as she is going yoga and clubbing with hub. Hence, I told her fine, I'll bring mine home. Haiz, seems partying is more impt to her.

I understand your feeling as I also stay with my parent in law....So far I still can tolerant but sometime I will really heart pain when I was angry. MIL really super ANGMO and half chinese type. She brought Gracie to market everymorning for breakfast with her friend. For me that should not be a problem but she even brought her when weather look like going to rain. I hint her about the weather look not so good and she reply me with "My friend has ordered for me nasi lemak for today breakfast" ....
HB angry too and also told her but she insist wanna to go and will bring umbrella.
I told hb ..just let her go and do what ever she like to do but if anything happen to Gracie again like sick..I will not say anything and I will stay out of it..MIL will need to take care her for day and night. I will concentrate on my work. I fell sad and pain when I told hb . As hb also know my character that I will really do that. Which he answer me "yeah I know you will do that" but "you will heart pain".
I was learn to be independent since 1995 when the first time came to Singapore till now without my parent with me. When hb was in oversea for busines trip for 1 mth..I also done everything myself. Sometime I told myself I have to learn independent so that whenever anything happen I know how to overcome it.
As I dont wish to make thing worse and MIL also has hard time to look after Gracie. So sometime I also must give and take with close one and open one eye

Those sweet stuff like ice cream, soft drink will cause diabetes for Children. Even if we want to feed them with that just feed little bit only. My FIL strictly BAN those sweet stuff..he always tell us not to feed Gracie sweet stuff as he know more of those food that will cause diabetes. He is pharmacist and so far if anything happen to Gracie like fall down, fever, rashes or others..he got stand by vitamin or medicine for her.

Yup....Ethan started walking soon after his 1st bday. Still quite wobbly but I would say he is getting better day by day. Sometimes I noticed he will still prefer to crawl whenever he kancheong & wants to get to that point faster.

Regarding uptight... I'm same same as you too. I'm totally kancheong abt kaelyn, I wanna to be in charge of her sleep, meal etc...just trying my best to make it the best. Sometimes HB buay tahan me too.
I know some ladies are really relax about their kids, 1 of my colleague, also used to be a weekend mum, she can leave her baby while still very young and go Japan holiday.
probably her bb is with her mum so she is more fan xin I dunno but in her 2 yrs after delivery I think she has gone 3 Japan holiday.
I leave for 3 days biz trip... I wanna cry.
My other colleague also can leave her bb in Msia while she work in Spore and go back to see bb once a month or so...
Another colleague of mine also can go clubbing with friends on friday and work late every nite as if no kids at home.
Sometimes.. I guess it just different for everyone. Perhaps its our first born so we very kan cheong... I'm not sure if I will be relax when the #2 come along..tell u when time come.
But I suppose it's good to take a break from bb and have personal time with HB. 1 of my friend practice that.. she always go pak tor with HB movie and leave her son with her MIL.
I tried doing that too.. but at the back of my mind I keep thinking dunno bb drink milk or not, dunno MIL keep to my routine to put her to bed or not...haha end up din enjoy so much.
and when I'm home.. close to midnite.. I still see my baby not sleeping or only half alseep in the hall. Tis show my worries are not unfound cos whenevery I leave kaelyn in MIL for late nite, kaelyn end up not sleeping according to routine and I have to spend next few nite "set" her back.
Oppss.. I have yet to pick up my items with you.

now then I remember kaelyn also fall asleep during meal time in the high chair. She din slept like janelle more like Ethan's style..
and while I used to dream feed her milk...
for that lunch I actually dream feed her too..
tho she is dozing with eye close.. she continue to open her mouth to eat...so I just feed.

Regarding uptight... I'm same same as you too. I'm totally kancheong abt kaelyn, I wanna to be in charge of her sleep, meal etc...just trying my best to make it the best. Sometimes HB buay tahan me too.
I know some ladies are really relax about their kids, 1 of my colleague, also used to be a weekend mum, she can leave her baby while still very young and go Japan holiday.
probably her bb is with her mum so she is more fan xin I dunno but in her 2 yrs after delivery I think she has gone 3 Japan holiday.
I leave for 3 days biz trip... I wanna cry.
My other colleague also can leave her bb in Msia while she work in Spore and go back to see bb once a month or so...
Another colleague of mine also can go clubbing with friends on friday and work late every nite as if no kids at home.
Sometimes.. I guess it just different for everyone. Perhaps its our first born so we very kan cheong... I'm not sure if I will be relax when the #2 come along..tell u when time come.
But I suppose it's good to take a break from bb and have personal time with HB. 1 of my friend practice that.. she always go pak tor with HB movie and leave her son with her MIL.

French toast... usually beat the whole egg or egg yok and dip the bread in it and leave it in the wok to fried a bit. If non-stick wok I think no need oil or put a bit of unsalted butter should be nice.
I never tried before but I suppose cook this way
For adult.. we like to eat with honey or maple syrup or sugar...
For baby.. just plain with egg can already ba.

I celebrated my girl's birthday on 6th and 7th respectively.
However, there are some disappointments, will further elaborate with photos soon, now I am too tired liao... going to dreamland soon. But the whole celebrations went on smoothly overall. And Clarisse is so excited! Although we spent a bit on her birthday, and it is tiring but I guess when I see Clarisse is so excited, everything is worth ba. And the best part is, I like all her presents!!!

Another thing is, my friend has some problem regarding her maid, and it is bothering her very much. She asked for my views but I really can't help her much. Maybe I will briefly write here what happened and please give me some opinion on this so I can get back to her? Thanks in advance.
My friend checked on her maid's bag one of the day last week and to her surprise she found a panty with blood stain. My friend is very puzzled how come the maid keeps this thing inside her bag and not get it washed immediately. But they give her benefit-of-doubt that perhaps the maid forgets to wash. Their maid usually will wash her own laundry over weekend. But early this week, she checked again and found that it was still in the bag. And very obvious that she washed all her other clothes and panties but not this blood stained panty. According to my friend, her maid usually will carry her bag often so it seems that it is quite impossible she forgets to wash too. My friend asked for my advice because she worried the maid is up to something.
