Thanks for the compliments. Took 2 days leave to bake. Yesterday is the cake for family cutting. This morning wake up at 7am to bake cupcakes for her classmates. Here's the pics:

The teacher always says that JW is ok. Cries on & off. Shower oso only cries a bit. But it is really strange coz like I told you when we tries to bathe him over the weekend, he will be screaming and struggling until I am so worried that he will slip and fall. He will oso push away the shower head while crying. Plus now at home, he has a very bad temper. He will throw things at us. I think he is angry at us for leaving him in the CC. Dunno if it is just a passing phase….

S started half day CC yesterday, she fared better than I expected. Though I hear from some parents that the child may be ok the first week, and suddenly refuse to go school the next, so just waiting and crossing fingers that she will be ok...

office is too open concept..feel like working in a fish tank, all glass panels.
i had been very busy since starting of 2008,
every monday, wed, thurs evening got to send my elder to kumon for his enrichment class in the evening.
The rest of the day is to do homework with him.

Damien, till date, he had not settled in the school although it is just only 1.5hr playgroup.
He refused to wear his school uniform, he hated those nursery song that from his school especially the morning greeting song.
He get angry whenever we sang the song.

Recently damien started to complaining pain pain in his mouth, not sure if he is having toothache.

I would like to have funnels and bottles as well for my mini electric plus. actually in a dilemma if I should get them because I am afraid that my mini electric plus will not last another 18mths. I intend to bf Clarene for 18 mths. was thinking of changing to ameda after that so was struggling a bit if I should still get the funnels and bottles but my funnels and bottles are really yellow. Think the funnels and bottles are the same for PIS and mini electric plus. the only diff is the tubing.

i had been to bali in year 2004 and was staying in the Hard Rock.
I can only say only so so. there are better and nicer resort but was abit far from the Kuta beach.

Medela bottles can used on Ameda pumps. My mini electric died and I changed to Ameda this time round. Its value for money. One of the cheaper dual pumps in the market.

Glad your kids are ok. Aden juz had fever again last nite. His throat infection has spread to his right ear liao. So today he is with nanny instead of CC since I have to work

Same here, we noticed a slight change in D's behaviour, abit tantrumous but still manageable. He gets upset easily when we tell him ,"No" for certain things that he misbehaves over and he'll sulk and cry until very poor thing in one corner. So much so that I had to resort to a time-out for him and told him if he continues to be like that, we'll put him in a corner or face Mr Cane.

Despite them feeling upset with us, and my hb also got frustrated with all the whining and fake cries, we still need to be firm with them and not allow tantrums. BUT yet assure them lots that we love them (when they are calmer) and give them hugs. D keeps wanting us to carry him even at home, instead of carrying him, I would just squat down and face him, he'll lunge forward into my arms thinking I will carry him, but I decide to sit down. So he'll hug me and rest his head of my shoulders, I would take the chance and whisper that we all love him, even the teachers in school love him. He'll be a good boy and co-operate with us. I also had to tell my hb that I suspect that D is feeling vulnerable and upset why we would "abandon" him at the CC, so we just have to be patient and guide him out of it and give lots of assurance in our words (when they are calm of course)

I hope after the waterplay this Friday in playgroup that D would look forward to attending more. Heard from my hb that he's much better in terms of his reaction upon reaching the CC

My boy's teacher told me today his pattern all come out already. Been touching everything. No longer the 'shy shy' boy.

He also seems happier maybe becoz I get better rested and will spend more time playing with him than before. He started his goodbyes from home today and he was waving goodbye to us in the car all the way to school.

I think i miss out replying you. The teachers at CC will update me like he will follow their instructions, any new discovery like he can cover his mouth when coughing, new words he uses, how much he eat, willing to bath happily, if he pass motion. I think it is different update since he is in full day cc.

Seems like most of tots are in school already or planning to go one. Kae is still "rotting" at home :p, tho I'm bring her to weekend PG.
With my niece and nephew at my place now with my MIL.. I'm really really concern that kae will end up picking up rude behaviour from them.. this is what I fear most. and my MIL being pretty rude and tactless herself will not teach or correct them on good manners, haizzz
How I wish the regular PG can accept kids younger so I can start sending kae to school.

kae a bit split personality.. sometimes she will take the cane and lecture the dogs, sometimes she will be very affectionate.
I love the thoughts that children growing up loving animals.

why can't kae go to school? My boy also attends a regular playgroup and they accept children from 18mths. It's 3hrs daily. Maybe u can check out some of the nearby centres?

Re: Bath time

What do u do during bath time? Do u have a variety of toys to let them play? The principal from the sch said it's essential to give them bath time (not shower) for them to engage in waterplay.

My boy loves water like anything and he'll put his face into the bath water and blow bubbles. All thanks to his daddy who taught him to do that at the swimming pool. He also loves to turn on the shower head and spray all over the place. We also pretended that it was raining and he was all wet.

My boy usually takes a bath. He only takes a shower when he's bathing with my hb. The two boys will then fool around in the toilet, playing with water together. And my boy will line up the shampoo/shower foam bottles in one neat row. He loves to categorise things and line them up neatly. Weird boy.

Could you pls check the cost for the medela bottles plus funnels? Mine all turned yellow so thought of changing but then Charmaine's already 2 and my production now is not good. I am actually looking forward to stop expressing when she has turned two. But my stubborn gal refused to take FM or fresh milk. Sigh.

My charmaine's also rotting at home. PD has not given her "permission" to go childcare yet. Plus now that I have started my masters, i can't send her to lavina also. Sigh.
 
rotting at home ... don't consider your kids rotting at home. My neighbour's son was at home spending time with MIL, sisters and helper till he's 4 yr old. No enrichment before that. Mother not even around on weekends sometimes but she makes sure she spend quality time with kid (and sometimes just bring him shopping)... the kid learns well at home based on the little time he spends with the mother. But he's quite an introvert kid and doesn't socialize well which I feel it's cos he's at home most of the time. And for that to me is quite impt as it's quite difficult to change once established.

Wanted to see more info on the birthday bash before I decided, but with the change of date on 2nd Feb, sorry I can't join. Got son#1's birthday party on that day .... seems like that's the reason why I've missed last year's too.

how come u dun wan to send Kae to sch for like 2-3 hours if u feel she will pick up bad habits at home? as you have your MIL to help u to bring Kae to sch and back, u can go for the nearer home schools. quite a few of them dun have sch bus which was my main problem. or can go to monte kidz world at elias which is near your place. they have a 1.5 hour playgroup.

thanks for sharing that medela bottles fit ameda. which pump did you buy? where did you buy it? there was a offer by robinson a few weeks ago selling Ameda Lactaline Dual Electric Breast Pump at $299 with some free gifts. quite worth it but I didn't buy. was still hoping that the medela can last. come to think of it, should buy it then to keep as spare in case medela fail on me. think already gain back the $269 that I paid for my medela mini E plus from the 17mths of bfing Clariss.

SY, I would like to order 2 medela funnels (also called breastshields right?) too. Mine are badly scratched from all the washing previously.

Kirsten has been down with flu, fever and cough since Fri, so has been skipping school these 2 days. She was doing so well last week, I hope by the time she goes back, it will stay the same and the anxiety won't be bad again.

i guess tendency for our kids to fall sick more often once they are in school. Meg also fell sick very often when she first started school.

any toddlers here gotten HFMD before?
my niece is suspected to have that. she had fever today though no signs of blisters on her hands and feet but her cousin had it so most likely the fever is caused by HFMD. very worried that clariss will have it because they have been playing together for the past few days.
My MIL says better don't let Clariss come home in case she already has it and may spread to the newborn. How long will it take to recover? I read that it can be 3days to 2weeks. don't know if I should cancel the full month celebration for Clarene on Sat if Clariss has it.

Actually there are alot of minor bits that cannot be captured by the camera. It is not so neat when u see it clearly.

This is my first time baking. Used scrapbook creativity into the deco for the cupcakes. Hehe.. I dun dare to try on cream worried that I will fail. Cos I dun have time to trial and error as I only have 2 days. So I used fondant for both cake and cupcakes. I used ready premixed cake mixture too so that at least I dun have to worry that the cake won't rise. Still long way to go to become a pro.

Wait till I get the convection oven from my mum and I will start CNY cookies baking when Jamie is asleep. Hehe..

Engaged Lavina from Kidsloft to do a kindermusik programme for the class. Realli like her but hee hee no excuse to send Aden there since he is with CC now. For your information Aden sticked to me like super glue

This is my "third" child. A boy who joined cc same day as Aden seems to stick to me whenever I am there. In the evening when I sometimes will wait at the cc for hb to pick us all up. He will come and sit down on my lap with me. I have 3 kids stuck to me , Charmaine whose jealousy now kicks in when we focus so much on Aden's first few days at cc, Aden stuck on to me like Koala when he sees me and refuse to come down and my "third" child taking me as a substitute
