Hmmm... seems like a lot of the babies are crying at PG? We are still keeping Charmaine at home till she's 12kg so don't have much problem yet. REally hoped that it won't be a major problem when she finaly goes to school.

But we are looking for a sunday playgroup for her now. I am not really keen to go back to JG unless I am sure that the teacher's not another "s". Lavina's classes for 2006 only at 445pm on sat. I will be having lessons on alternative sats and hubby's not really very keen to send Charmaine there by himself. Any suggestions?

So busy for the past week. Work's very, very, very busy and I started lessons. It's twice on weekday nights plus alternative sats. So sad cos on one of the nights when I called home to check on Charmaine, she's on the phone calling mummy and crying asking me to come back earlier. When I got home, she has already falled asleep on daddy's shoulder. When I put her down on her bed, she's still calling mummy even though she has fallen asleep.

i use whipping cream. my sis told me butter cream doesn't taste that nice. but for whipping cream, need to do the deco fast, else, the cream will get soften fast especially during hot weather.

I don't know what exactly happened but gathered as much that the schoolbus service is not very reliable and your maid is not capable of sending/picking JH to and from school. If this is the case, why don't you try a school near home? MMI Pasir Ris is quite regimental, not as flexible and 'free' as Great Beginnings. Have you visited Montessori Schoolhouse at Jalan Loyang Besar? Its near Downtown East. Ethan did his N1 &amp; N2 there. He had a great time there too. I like that school becos they have a mini paddling pool and the kids 'swim' there once a week with their classmates.

Have you checked with the school again on how JW react in class ? Aden when back home is still as active as ever though he cried in the morning during deposit and cried when he sees me in the evening. When I was at school earlier before his birthday celebration, he did not know I was there. He woke up from nap but did not cry like at home. He will laze around, when the teacher bring him out of the room, he happily sit and admire his cake and use his own language to talk to the kitchen auntie and teachers.

Of course he has picked more in terms of speech now, he actually does not talk much but just 1 week in school, he sign more and says more when he wants more, he could say "zai jian" for bye.

Another incident which I find it a joke. Hb usually does not understand what aden wants and I was busy with something. Aden was walking around the house , bringing him along trying to find his water bottle which my hb does not understand what he needed. So aden give up and told him "he sui" as in drinking water. As his main teacher is a native chinese teacher, he pick up more of mandarin but last time with nanny who is also mandarin speaking, he din pick up all this.

Consistent understanding from the teacher is important on how JW is doing in school. The teachers will update me everyday I go on how he fare on tat day.
 
Happy belated birthday to all the babies! Sorry I'm kinda late cos down with this persistent sore throat, dry cough and basically flu and being preggy, docs dun wanna prescribe antibiotics and I'm taking extra long to recover. Already finished my sore throat meds and condition still the same...

What does the teacher update u on Aden's progress? My boy's teacher everytime just tell me my boy's system very good as he pooed. sigh. What kind of questions to ask? Till now, I still don't know exactly what they do in class leh. How to find out? They only have a general time table out but no idea what they do for that day. Is it important to know?

SL: Zachary is in GUG every sat. Not bad but have to depends on the teacher too. I like teacher ereen.

SY: Just to share on zachary bus trip. The journey takes about half an hour, the gg there driver and aunty is good, offered to carry zachary as he don't wan to be constrained.But the coming back one is not too nice, keep saying that he is still too young to go school.

So temporary solution is let my mum in law go and fetch him via my FIl cab, but don;t know how long it can last.

Have you tried out the ACES which is located inside downtowneast, it is a full montessori. Fees about $1320/term (10wks). Think it alo provide school bus service.

All mummies: Have you all faced the problem that our kids will run everywhere once they wake up? Did you all put latches? Now zachary is able to climb out of his playpen, unlock the door and appear in the living room. Bought a IKEA bed for him already.
Any mummies facing this issue as well??

Heehee, for me, we just switched Meg to an IKEA toddler bed too. She's sleeping in it well, and she always wakes up later than us so no prob of her wandering about on her own. But we do lock the bedroom door and she hasn't figured out how to unlock it yet. :p She should hv been born in year of the pig...very unlike rooster.

I thik I have bad cough too.. last time.. and I tried the Jin Do Nie Chi An Chuan bei Pi Pa Gao.. disolve in Hot water and drink. can Relief very well!... very shiok after drink cos it's warm and nice on the chest. Hope this help.

have you experience your kid going hyperactive after having sugary stuff?? We observed that meg becomes energizer bunny after eating banana or sweet stuff like ice-cream. Eg. last sunday, after having a banana after lunch, she was so energized and didn't wanna nap at all. usually she naps 3-4hrs on wknds.. then last night, she had some ice-cream at 730pm, at 1030pm she was jumping up and down on our bed, running everywhere..aiyoh...

so i told MIL, my mum and hubby...no sweet stuff for her! Apples and pears seem ok, but banana is no no.

Mine's a hyper baby - makes no difference whether she eats bananas or not. On a normal day, she will only rest for 15 mins in the morning and nap for 2 hours in the afternoon. On days when there are visitors or she's out, she can forgo all naps till 5 or 6 pm when she's really, really tired out.

finally got a sch bus driver who is more reliable but much more expensive. but now the problem is that cos i brought JH to sch for 2 days last week, he keeps thinking i m going with him. so he will cry when he gets on the bus. but he stops crying quite fast. as long as i dun appear, he won't cry.

i think JH really likes it at Great beginnings so unless i run out of options, i will still send him there. my parents went to pick him last fri and even my mum commented that he looked so happy there and when he left, he was smiling at the teachers and saying bye bye teachers. initially they were agst me sending him to sch at such a young age but now my mum thinks it is a good thing i sent him to sch.

now i just hope this crying thing will pass over soon cos it makes me feel so bad.

i really think the teachers at GB are really nice. i think i have been 'harassing' them by calling quite often but they always help to assure me and answer all my questions. and cos JH was crying the past few days when i dropped him, he is now stickier to one particular teacher. She told me after spending much more time with JH, she realised he is much faster than she initially thought. speech wise and learning wise he is much faster than her expectations. i can also see that he is very happy every day. hope he will enjoy sch and forget abt the separation part soon!

same here. and this time round, at 5.5months, i only put on 1kg so far! but baby's weight is fine. i've been putting on and losing weight due to falling sick. so to date, still only at 50kg...

same here. so far i only put on less than 1 kg also. wow u at 5.5months and still only 1kg? that means u r losing weight and bb is gaining from your weight. did your gynae express any concern over that?

Gracie got high fever 3 weeks ago and last week is my sister in law daughter turn and till 40+..
Really fever virus go around our toddler.
Hope all the toddlers in our threat are healthy..
