(2006/01) Jan 2006 MTBs

Hello mummies!
It's been ages since i last posted or read anything. Suddenly inspired to come in and see what's been happening! We're getting a maid and she's coming in tomorrow...exciting...life will really change after that (hopefully for the better!).

Jamom,
Wow you're amazing! Coping with 2 kids without a maid plus u're now preggie! Take good care
happy.gif

ky / Jamom,
The tips u mentioned about how to cope with 2 doesn't work for me. Or maybe i'm just not good enough to work it out
sad.gif
When i found out i was preggie with no.2, i had these few targets for Janelle before no.2 pops:
1) toilet train her
2) sleep train her (ie. that she will nap and go to bed without needing someone to lie down beside her)
3) train her to self-feed

All this was idealistic, in the hope that it'll be more manageable when my no.2 comes out. Sad to say, i'm 2 months away from my delivery date and my targets all have not been met
sad.gif
Only the self-feed part is slowly coming to realisation. The worse is the sleep-training. She not only needs me to lie down beside her to sleep, she will also wake up in the middle of the night to walk to our room and climb in bed with us.

So, am just praying for strength and grace to see me through when my no.2 comes!!

Hi gals

So excited going for my hols & celebrating my wedding anniversary in Japan tomorrow.
happy.gif
See u soon!

Mamapanda
Re: Jshopper spree

Email me when the loot comes.
happy.gif
Hopefully can start to toilet train my boy when we come back.

wow a lot of talk going on how to manage number 2!!

JH has been trying to self feed nowadays and he is getting better. it was my goal to teach him to self feed before i went back to work but only half achieved.

he has been lying abt when he needs to poo though. when it is obvious he wants to poo, he kept telling us no.....how?

Jamom
nice to see u here! now that i started work, not so free anymore to pop up to chat...hee will still try over weekends when i m free

the seller u mentioned on yahoo, can let me have the link? will check it out also.

ky,jamom,
your discussion on homeschooling/teaching very interesting...gives me a lot of insight!

oldmum
dun worry too much, sometimes no matter how we plan, our kids will plan it for us when the time comes...

durianlover
hihi long time no see. think the sleep train part not easy. Jh still needs me to be in the room to fall asleep....once i step out before he fully falls asleep he will wake up

mashy - enjoy yourself in Japan!

sy/denmy/cookie - i went to MMI tampines today. sad to say, i dun really like it. Caleb is also not interested in the nursery rhymes storytelling and the area for dance and movement is so limited. frankly, i told hb, caleb seems to enjoy more in kidsloft. Are you guys gg to sign up the playgrp for kidsloft? Let me know ..coz most likely I will sign Caleb up for the playgrp.

mashy
The jshoppers loot were here 3 weeks ago. I posted 3 times for collection already. Anyway, you can come collect it anytime. As usual, drop me an SMS with your nick beforehand to arrange timing first.

spree collection reminder
Luckyvitamin and drugstore spree loot are here too. If you're not collecting via CL, please email me to arrange for collection. Thanks.

durianlover
Saw ur maid yday when I went up to look for Mavis. Looks good to me. I introduced Ariene to her too and told her that Janelle and Ariene will be classmates. HOpe she works out well for you.

durianlover
Ariene also likes to sleep between us now and we just let her be. Its part of the growing stage I guess. Ela told me she has no problems sleeping on her own toddler bed alone in the room. Guess Janelle's feeling the same too. They just want to be close to us as it gives them comfort. Will Jan be sleeping with the maid from now on? Maybe you'll wanna consider teaching ur maid confinement food recipes so she can cook confinement food for u after u deliver. Ela still has some transcribbed confinement food recipes that I taught. If u need, you can ask her to come to my place and copy from Ela's recipe book.

sorry for spamming.. forgot 1 last thing..

bblon
Just a reminder, your ON loot are still with me. LEt me know when is convenient for u to collect it or if u want me to pass them to CL or anyone else who's coming to collect on your behalf.

esther

I just brought my kids for their jabs, and i asked my PD, she says its fine to give fresh milk, its just that for my case, becos tabby is quite small size, she said, if i'm worried, i should give FM cos got more vitamins. But at this age, most of the nutrients is from solids.

weejeans
thanks for the advice on the jumperoo... i will hold on for now.. i even asked my PD and she said just follow the recommended instructions so i think i'll get it for him when he's older.

SSF
your friends names for their kids are so nice... what kind of toys is he bringing in? His webby is very nice!!

Flo
U haven't tried any french food yet? What have u been eating in france then? u must try the duck and foie gras at least.. very yummy!!

Flo
your Mel is really the ultimate...toilet bowl?? i couldn't believe it. where did she get the idea from?? she's really one funny gal

SSF
think lavina will let us know the new schedule for next year whne it's out.

Sy - oh ok. thks!

tabby - ya their names are nice and unique. i didnt manage to pop down today as caleb was sleeping. so may pop down next weekend instead. not sure wat toys are they bringing in lei.

SSF
u started work already? when u planning to start caleb on playgroup?

mummies
did u read abt this Gaia Herbs for children in Mind Your Body? Seems very good for cough. I am thinking of getting it from overseas. Will roughly cost abt USD 18 per bottle including shipping. I went to check the price at Vitakids. It is S$38.80. Any mummies interested? It seems to be very effective agst coughs. There's 2 versions, one for dry cough and one for wet cough. Need abt 14 bottles for the BP. if anyone else interested, let me know.

Spitting of water
Mashy, JW is doing that all the time too. Dunno how to stop him.

Ky,
When I do that, my boy just averts his eyes from me. Can't get him to look at me. He will pretend that mummy doesn't exist when I give him stern warning. Then he will point to something else and try to distract me.

Re: Throwing things
My boy has a v bad habit of throwing things on the floor whenever we don't let him do things his way. Can't seems to stop him. Any suggestions?

Flo,
Eeks...toilet bowl? What gave her that idea to try that stunt?

Re: Overseas Trip
One more week to my HK trip. Been delaying getting clothes for JW for the trip and now this weekend have to try to get him some shoes and clothes.

Immediately after my HK trip, my company sending me to Japan, then it's a dept trip to Bintan. Going to be out of singapore for the whole 2 weeks. As I couldn't leave my boy with my MIL for 2 weekends, decided to bring him along to Japan after HK.

Any idea abt weather in Japan in mid to late Nov? Plus any advice on how much money i should change? Heard that Tokyo is a really expensive place. Hope I can find food for him.

Hb isn't exactly wild abt being stuck with taking care of my boy during the time I am at my training in Japan. Keke...but i told him if you wants to follow me to Japan...that's the sacrifce he has to make ;p

Hello mummies,

Wow, lots of postings...

Mashy,
Enjoy your trip! Japan! Envy.

Tabbiesus,
I'm still organising sprees leh, just finished Ralph Lauren and Gap sprees. I usually post at the Marketplace thread. Now doing Bath and Body Works spree. No hurry about the winter wear, can pass to me when we meet in future.

jamon / oldjeans,
Congrats! Don't worry too much now... trust your maternal instincts and abilities! I'm sure you are able to cope.

SY,
How do plan to teach chinese? I have no idea how to begin. It's not like English where we can start with alphabets and simple words. I saw a lot of chinese flash cards but it seems a bit 'chim' for our tods' age.

Re. bedtime
My Isaac is a permanent fixture in between me and HB. He drives us crazy with him stroking our backs with his toes when he's half asleep. Really makes us mad he does that in the middle of the night! I have tried getting to sleep on the floor but he'll climb up. Tried getting him to sleep in his own room, he'll wake up and cry and walk into our room. Sigh... my HB says too much work to train him to sleep on his own.

Flo, Tabbs,

Thanks alot for helping me check with your pds. its great to hear that they agree with full cream milk too. i've switched one of her feeds to full cream milk already for the pass 4 days. still looking forward to see an improve in her bowels...sad to say..she still has not pooed for the pass 2 days.

SY,

i'm keen on the GAIA herbs for children. Bp price from where?? online purchase? if have to wait too long maybe u will just order online. Renee has been getting sick alot more often nowadays
sad.gif
right now, both of them have been having cough and flu for more than a week already.

Mashy,

Enjoy yourself!! so envious of all the mummies who have taken or taking holidays.

SSF,

i totally agree with you that even with a helper, 2 kids with age gap so near can be super busy. i have 2 helpers now to help me out till i move back to hanoi. the new helper bascially does the housework while one takes care of leroy ( he's really a handful ) cant nap much as there's construction going on nearby and its soooo noisy.

TOILET TRAINING

have been tryin for the past 1 week to let renee sit on the potty.. so far bout 70% of the time she will pee and poo at her potty..the other 30% she just lets go! for now, she only wears her pampers during her nap time and at night.

Jamon,

Congrats! its so nice to have 3/4 kids..how i wish i can have more..

Mummies need your helpful input !

HOLIDAY TO PERTH

was actually planning to bring the kids to perth for a holiday during the chinese new year...however, was thinking will be too rush as we have to head back to hanoi after that. and besides, by then leroy will be taking solids.. so will be even more troublesome.

therefore, since hb is coming back for 2 weeks this month, decided to bring them now instead. but as much as i'm very excited bringing them out, was actually feeling that its sooo troublesome to bring 2 kids out for holiday..seems like soo many things to pack, to plan etc

i prefer F&E, self drive as i cant imagine crying baby on a coach with many other pple..think will be too stressed out.

any input on how to make the trip easier?? example..to bring 2 strollers or 1?? any ideas will help..thanks!

Queen,
Hahahaha i was laughing when i read about Isaac's sleep habits!! I can high five with you! Janelle will climb into our bed in the middle of the night to sleep with us. And she loves to cuddle her body close to ours, and she'll keep touching and stroking our hair! Heh, so Isaac's habit is to rub his toes against your body and Janelle's is to stroke our hair. Both just as bad...haha.

esther,
i think Perth is a great place for families! Big open spaces and nice weather...kids will enjoy it
happy.gif
Yes you're right, F&E will be better since u've 2 babies. Hmm seems troublesome to bring 2 strollers....maybe 1 is enough? Then they take turns to sit in stroller?

mamapanda,
Yes we picked our maid up yesterday evening. So far so good. But i realised that 1 thing that i really can't train her in is COOKING! Coz my cooking's lousy!
sad.gif
Yes, thanks for your offer to bring her over to learn some recipes from you or Ela. I think i will do so. Will contact you again as to when i'll pop by! As for confinement food, i shan't stress her too much. Think i'll order tingkat confinement food from Natal Essentials. Heard very good feedback about it!

RE: Anti-stretchmark cream
Any good recommendations? I'm using Palmer's but dunno why this time it's making my tummy itchy, so i give up. I only have 2 more months to go so would prefer if can buy a small bottle of a good anti-stretchmark cream. Do let me know if you've any recommendations! Thanks!
happy.gif

hi mummies
long time didnt post.. my confinement lady went back on thurs and it's been super busy for hb and since then.. can you imagine when both of them cry at the same time, can really faint.. Since the day CL left, we miss her v much.. and poor me only like hv 4hrs slp every nite.. so, now I've finally fell sick. I keep telling myself to hang on as I'm hoping that it will get better when #2 turns 3mths old and slp better at nite. her last feed is at 12plus am and she wakes at 4am and 6am for feed.
sad.gif
damn shag man.

sunny I latch 100% at nite and even wake to pump. CL helped me to bottlefeed her for the last 3 nites before she left.

tabb
Ger is super glue to my hb and dun want me.. now.
sad.gif
only wants hb or my mum to feed him dinner. think he's angry with me for spending time with no. 2.

SSF
I can so understd.. my hb also needs to go back to wrk on some nites and it's horrible when both cry at the same time. i also wonder how long i can bf. I thot u hv a helper?? I'm so tempted to gv FM for last feed hoping tt she can slp a while longer..

aileen
I still feel guilty even though ger's in CC now.. coz i find tt i also dun hv time for him at nite when he comes back.. cant put him to slp and cant read story bookks to him before bedtime. I also felt guilty for putting ger in CC earlier, but seeing him learn so much at CC, i dun feel so guilty already.

cookie
you're so lucky.. kyler's slping thru.. how old is he now?? and any tips for me?? me v slp deprived now.

SSF
u too.. s lucky tt he's slp thru.

weejeans
i agree with tabby. getting a good CL is impt.. coz #1 will be v clingy and u need someone to help with #2, so tt you can rest during confinement.

SY
I'm interested in the Gaia Herbs for children. any link?

durianlover
i used the clarins oil during my pregnancy. i find it better than the palmers as it's more oily, so i find help better with the oiliness to counter the itchiness.

esther
i love perth too.. hmm.. Self drive is definitely better to cater to the kids. I think bring 1 pram will do. Ger didnt sit much on it too.. we had 2 suitcase plus 1 handcarry. so with 1 pram, the boot didnt hv enough space and was totally full. had to like squeeze whatever we bought in the boot on the last few days. so funny.

Mummies,

Re. Birthday cake
I'm thinking of baking a fondant cake for Isaac, anyone of you know where I can get fondant supplies?

thanks mummy for all the encouragement... now i am so tempted to hire the CL for THREE months, just to get past the difficult part haha...

SH
wow JW turning into a frequent traveller too! I can lend him some clothes that i got for JH for his japan trip. think nov shd be colder but the weather nowadays is weird...

when i was in japan, JH din want anything except bread n rice so maybe u wan to bring some cereal to standby?

as for throwing things, JH went thru that phase and still does that sometimes. the more we scold the more he throws so sometimes i just ignore him.

queen
i dun have a fix plan to teach him chinese. currently, it is more spoken chinese than written. JH can understand both english and chinese. i also read chinese books to him. why not show him the chinese characters for 1 to 10? that shd be simple.

esther,
i m keen to order the GAIA herbs as well. Based on my calculation, if we can get 14 bottles, it will be abt USD 18 per bottle including shipping.

I m only keen to order the one for coughs to make it more straighforward. maybe we can see how many pple interested here before i open up to market place.

as for perth, maybe bring one stroller and sling the other one? then not so many things to bring.

dun worry too much! it will work out in the end. most importantly is to have fun with the kids.

durianlover
where is your maid from? are you getting confinement nanny? my maid picked up quite a bit of cooking from confinement nanny. sometimes i will give her easy recipes to try out too.

krissie
i posted the links above. let me know if interested.

hmm, sounds like really tough. i can imagine JH will be angry with me if we have number 2. even now when i put food on hb's plate sometimes, he will make noise and demand the same too. super jealous kid....

oldmum
u so funny....will CL agree to stay so long?

who knows, maybe your second one will be easy bb to take care of?

mummies
anyone not collecting the NTUC bonus point? I need 3 more to redeem something. Can PM me if u have any to spare? thanks.

ky
thanks for sharing on how to prepare #1 for #2 arrival.

jamom
mine is a boy, how about you?
ya, i think my gal feels insecured...
sad.gif

durianlover
your gal reacts exactly same as my gal! previously, she's already sleep trained... we have been having soooo many months of peaceful sleep until my gal noticed that i am pregnant. from there onwards, she nvr sleeps through... recently, she complains about the darkness. we thought she's scared of darkness. come to think of it, she's feeling insecured.
so far, she can self feed quite well, with some messiness... and half toilet trained. i just hope that she can let my hb sleep with her at bed time soon, so that i could rest as well....

for anti stretchmark cream, i use clarin oil. i use it in last round too. serve me well.
happy.gif
i heard from feb 08 mummies that some of them experience itchiness and rashes after using more than 1 tube of palmer.

flo
you are right, now, i am quite sure that she feels insecured rather than having bedtime fear...

sy
maybe JH is not lying, just that he still hasn't figured out how to express himself?

durianlover, krissie,

i tot of only bringing one stroller but leroy is coming 9kg..too tiring to use a sling
sad.gif
and if renee sees leroy on stroller she wants it too!!! faint

durianlover,

i use mustela..i think its rather effective..for 2nd pregnancy i hardly use but thank god not much marks

krissie,

hang in there!! time flies and before u know she will be sleeping thru already
happy.gif

oldmum,

i also hired the nanny for 3 mths
happy.gif

SY,

i need should be easy to hit the 14 bottles.. but i'm really keen in the tummy tonic and the warming vaparous rub too!! can add in that??i add in here 1st ok then u decide if u want to..otherwise u let me know..i may then order on my own. thanks alot!!!

hi esther,tabby
Just wanna share what I know about fresh milk and formula. both my kids dun take formula, in fact they hated it. SO they have been on fresh milk (to supplement with breastmilk) when they turn one. My pd encourages me to give fresh milk rather than formula. Her rationale? Forumla overloads system and not veri kind to digestive tract. There is something known as bioavailabiilty and that is how much our human body can absorb...well...simply means that for a particular nutrient to be absorbed by our body it has to be the right form. Breastmilk has the right form of nutrient that is easily absorbed by our body as it is the right form (if u are keen read up on the controversy of iron in human milk and formula). What I am saying is that dun have to worry abt giving fresh milk to babies beyond one year. Stated in WHO that it is safe. Forumla like the name states it is fomulated but how much can our body absorbed....it is another question. Anyways like what tabby's pd mention, main source of nutirent for kids beyond one year should be from solids and not milk. So sometimes i wonder what is milk for???hahaha....calcium??? controversy surrounds this too!! our chinese ancestor obtain their source of calcium from tofu and food sources and they dun drink much milk if any at all. I attended a talk on allergy and the specialist mentioned that milk is a source of allergy esp in asian.

As for UHT milk, I give it to the kids when I am out and does not make sense to bring fresh milk out coz have to keep it chilled. UHT from what i know is not as nutritious as fresh milk coz it is high heat treated....been wanting to check this out but no time.

For constipation, u might wanna try dhactulose (u can get from guardian) n give probiotics.dhactulose is not a medicine but a sugar that helps with constipation.tis sugar allows the large intestine to absorb water thus allowing the stool to be softer.

HI SY,
the seller nic is right_to_learn2003.
Your boy is one of the most well-behaved 2 yr I have seen. Good natured boy! He can speak well for a boy who is barely 2yr and thus can communicate his tots with you. But all two yr trying to test their limits so it is definately tough.I am going thru a tough time with my girl too. Methods that worked for my boy din seem to work for her. I am nopw reading a book on "how to negotiate with your kids". an intersting book...more for my 4yr old...who is going thru terrible 2x2. But for our 2yr age, I can recommend a few discipline books "supernanny by jo frost (better than than the TV series coz more detailed) and books by James dobson and Dr SEars. Even with all these books...I am still struggling. Haha....always feel that I am on on-job-training.....have to learn when it comes and one can never be prepared for kids-induced challenges.

As for potty training, I got a book on this. YOu wanna borrow? But seriously, I find no rush la. When kid is ready they will be ready lo esp boys. I know moms who believe in elimination communication will kill me for saying tat.

HI SSF,
I visited brody bliss on sunday. Interesting store with lots of stuff from Learning resource. I like their layout and design.

You stay in the east?

On no.2 OR more kids
thanks for all the encouragement. I am sure I will not onli survive but thrive!!!positive thinking...hahaha Been reading the blog of this singapore mom. She has no maids and homeschooling 6 kids...and her youngest is onli a few months old. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/MamaLim/page2/&thisy=&thism=&thisd=
So I have been telling myself ....Hey I onli going to have 3 ....hahaha....

HI sunny,
Mine is a boy too! I seriously dun know how my girl will react. My boy was ok when i was expecting my girl but u know boys tend to be less sensitive then girls. But no choice la, she has to learn to share and she will still be my onli princess so hope that will help.

Hi Jamon,
wow, serene is a very inspiring mom... and her homeschooling tips are very useful too. Now it makes me want to try to homeschool Keenan and Declan.

Speaking of which, I spoke to Gary from Kydz re: the Montessori Home Kit which the shop stocks. He said that he could give us a free 1 hr talk on what is and how to use Montesorri materials at home. It can be a Sat late afternoon thingy when the shop is less busy. Mommies who are interested, please put your names down, so I could liase with him.

1. Denmy

re: tumbletots at PP
mummies who put their names down for a trial,
you might wanna pair up and call to arrange for a trial class on your own. Reason being that they only allow 2 new kids into an ongoing class so as not to disrupt the class. 63445191

Cookie and I will be attending the Rightstart Toddlers on Thurs 9.30 to 11am class on 22 Nov.

Krissie,
I totally empathise with you. Ger is obviously angry with you. Keenan was also like that for quite some time until I purposefully used our Bali trip to convince and convert him back to a mummy's boy. It didn't take long for him to change but you have to be consistent. Now he allows me to feed him milk (it was that bad! He would only drink from my maid and she had to hold the bottle while I read bedtime stories to him). I can put him to sleep now. So my evenings are always packed from 7.30pm (right after dinner and fruit): shower with Keenan; bf Declan and put him to bed if he dozes off, otherwise hand him over to hb (meanwhile I would sometimes read to Ethan while bfing Dec); put Ethan to bed; read to Keenan while he has his milk (this takes up to 30mins); put Keenan to bed (from 10-60mins). After Declan arrived, I got hb to read to Keenan while he drank his milk, and I stopped putting him to bed cos I was constantly bfing Dec. Then my maid took over the putting hm to bed part and my hb gradually got lazy so in the end she did everything and it we initially thought it was great until we realised Keenan was super attached to her. So my advise to you is to go back to your old bedtime routine with Ger while you leave the baby with hb or your helper. Dun worry abt baby crying. Just let them help you with her. In this case you can truly spend some quality time with Ger and also let the baby start to accept the other 'caregivers' in the house. Jia you!

sunny
JH is doing it on purpose when he says he hasn't poo when he has. he used to be able to tell us when he wants to poo. nowadays even with the smell being so obvious, he will still say no on purpose...

i think your gal really feels insecure. maybej ust got to wait it out.

esther
i think shd be ok to add in the tummy tonic. actually i also interested in the vaporous rub... but oops it's OOS...

jamom
i have been meaning to let JH try fresh milk. maybe i shall start to give him. i agree totally that their main nutrition shd be from solids and not milk at this stage. JH takes only abt 300 ml of milk a day. i m not too concerned.

can lend me the potty training book? actually the main reason i wan him to go pampers free is that he gets sweat rash easily on his penis. happened a few times already. wearing pampers doesn't help definitely. i will go up to get the book from u after work.
happy.gif

my boy well behaved?? haha, he is just better behaved outside. u shd see him at home. terrible...

u shd have one more! u are doing such a good job with your kids....

will JH complain about the uncomfort for the poo in his pants? i read from a book that the writer really let the poo remain in her kid's pants for sometime until the kid complains; and from there onwards, the kid always tells the caretaker that he wanna poo.
But, i don't quite dare to use her method 'cos i scare of diaper rash as my gal's skin is not that good.
probably JH is seeking for your attention and see how you react on that. probably, you can talk to him, then praise him if he does it right.

re: JG
anyone know where to find the lyrics and song for a song that the teachers usually sing (chinese and english) at the end of the class. Not sure if the title is "I love you" (not the barney's song). The lyrics is something like:
shing-ge-ring-a-ding-a-ding shing-ge-ring-a-do
i love you
i love you in the morning, in the afternoon,
i love you in the evening, underneath the moon

re: barney
sorry, i got to ask a silly question. Anyone's kid like Barney's show? Can you share with me, what's so good abt barney? 'cos personally I don't quite like the appearance of the purple dino. :p

sunny
JH doesn't complain abt the poo. but he used to tell us when he wants to poo.

i dun really like barney but i heard it is very good

hi denmy,

How old is keenan? If our older kids similar in age we can share some homeschooling tips together. I am not competent enough to homeschool but I do supplement at home.Serene is really inspiring and I cannot believe that she can manage all that with a 5mths old.

How much is Gary charging the home kit?

Hi SY,
It will be really God's humour if I realli conceive no.4. Me realli contemplating ligation.
sent u an sms on the book.

HI sunny,
Lyrics:
skidamarink a dink a dink (heard some ppl sings it as skinnamarinky which i prefer...)
skidamarink a doo
i love u
i love u in the morning
and in the afternoon
i love u in the evening
and underneath the moon
oh skidamarink a dink a dink
skidarmarink a doo
i love u (2x)
skindarink a dink a dink

re/; barney
I used to dislike it but after having children I kinda tink it is quite good.
1. the songs are veri catchy and many of it are rhyming which is good for speech development and reading in the future. kids pick up songs real fast.

sorry, me v blur, this is a cough mixture for kids, right, not some immunity booster?

krissie,
Poor thing..u sure sound sleep deprived! Do hang on in there and pray that your girl will sleep thru soon...then u'll hv better rest! Can't imagine how it'll be like when no.2 comes...

RE: Clarins oil
Sorry suaku question...but where to buy it from? I hope it's not sold only in town area coz i seldom go town. By the time i wait till i go town to buy, i think i would already have popped by then! Haha.

SY,
My maid is from Indonesia. So far so good. Am not getting any CL coz too ex. Will just order tingkat confinement food. So that's why from next week or so, we'll get Janelle to sleep in the same room as maid. But after hearing all what you all share about our toddlers getting too close to maid, i'm a bit hesitant now. Sigh. It is strange, but if Janelle sleeps thru without looking for mummy, i will also kind of miss that. But i have no choice coz my masterbedroom is far too small to accomodate Janelle + no.2. So Janelle will hv to get used to sleeping with maid.

Denmy,
Wow u're amazing...dunno how u cope with 3 kids! Somemore age gap so close!

esther,
Hmm maybe can "train" renee to walk while her didi is in the pram? If not to bring 2 prams is really very xiong! Not enough space!

krissie
yes this is cough mixture for kids. it was talked abt in Mind Your Body. think it can help the immunity system as well.

durianlover
can janelle sleep by herself if u r concern she will be too close to maid?

Hey Mummies
Me back liao. Thanks to SL for the Ergo carrier. Dunno what to do without the carrier. Ha ha my poor Aden because he does not want to be hand held so most of the time this boy is so close to mummy like a kangaroo.

Hey Durianlover,

I have one opened one but not realli used. If you want I can pass to you.

Esther,
A carrier and a stroller will be good. Ha ha most of the time my lazy Charmaine is using the stroller.

SH
Not much worry about the food in Japan. Does JW takes rice. If yes, oyako don or any don should do the treat. Dun think Japan is so expensive lah unless you walk into big big restaurant. Some slightly better ones maybe JPY 1900 to 2000 or it is quite easy to get below JPY 1000

welcome back CL! did u had fun?

how did u manage to sling Aden when he is so heavy?

SH
yeah agree with CL. food is quite alright. except my JH dunno how to appreciate

the credit card exchange rate not too bad also.

SY
FUN? ha ha quite ok at disney but I wont walk into ocean park anymore. Too crowded.

No choice. But the ergo carrier helps me a lot. My hb have to manage charmaine with stroller and his camera bag. Me balanced myself with Aden in front and my baby bag at the back. Ha ha sometimes I eat while Aden is sleeping. But I must say Aden is also like JH, reject food plus ha ha we always eat at weird timing. Besides the times at Disney the rest are quite bad. My gal is still doing her beauty sleep now since our arrival last nite.

Hi Mummies,.

How are you...MIA for long time and finally my office has move to Pandan loop. Has been move in for almost 1 week.
So for future no RP lunch for me

NEWS
Any news from your mummies and anyone from our forum got pregnant or give birth???

CL
Welcome back... how is your trip..waiting for you nice picture.

Holiday
Hb was in korea from end of Oct to end of Dec 2007... He surprise me with Air Ticket and travelling expenses to Korea for my birthday present. I will be going to Korea on this coming 7 Nov to 17 Nov. But the sad thing is I didnt bring Gracie. As right now Korea is about 5-6C and hb not allowed me to bring Gracie. The reason is the weather is too cold so I leave her with my MIL.
She was moody since after I told her that I will going to visit papa and not bring her along. She super glue to me for last week till today and got cough on yesterday night. Right now I feel sad and guilty.

RE: Dream
I have dreamt that I got pregnant :p ... Any mummy here got dreamt this before???

CL
haha sounds like fun. wow sounds like a tough juggling job. did Cheng have easier time?

hee now that u r back, we can plan for our next lunch. (plus book fair visit)

Linda
your hb so sweet!

i also dreamt before that i got pregnant. when i woke up and told hb abt it, he was like 'har'?

krissie,
today's the first day of cc for edgar. hope he is coping fine. keeping my fingers crossed. when my dad left him there this morning he was fine. busy playing with the tricycle. but i wonder how he is now... anyways, i guess which we have decided to put our little tots in cc, we shld see it in +ve light. like u said, they will learn more in the cc. hearing that from you certainly made me feel much better! =D

with #2, i can totally empathise with u. my days are nearing too. stay tune to hear my "complains"! :p

CL,
wow, so fast back from japan liao ar! time really flies ya! really must salute u. can't imagine myself slinging a 14kg+!

HK trip
hee...I don't think I had an easier time, my Aidan was running all over the place, but overall hubby and me felt it was a good trip and we don't mind bringing him for another trip :p

Agree with CL that a sling will be good for travel. The ergo sling really distributes the weight, so no strain on the back.

Durian lover
Concidentally, at the DFS counter yesterday, when I saw the Clarins oil, was reminded that I still have an unopened bottle at home. If u are keen, I can pass to CL.

Aileen
I went Hong Kong with Cheng not Japan lah. Short trip but never regret my decision to bring Aden though. Next trip I will plan for Perth. More space for the kids to run loose. No sightseeing needed.

CL,
wow u guys are really onz! Bring 2 kids to Japan! Must have been fun?

CL, cheng,
Thanks so much...i don't mind an opened bottle of Clarins oil...prob won't be able to finish 1 whole bottle anyway. But pls don't feel obliged to pass it to me...u may pass to me only if you really don't intend to use the Clarins oil anymore. Who knows, maybe can keep for your no.2 or no.3!

SY,
I ever dreamt before that i got pregnant and some months later, i really did. Hahaha....so may your dream come true!

RE: sleeping
Janelle is really manja towards my new maid!!! I can't believe it!! You also won't believe it! She actually wanted my maid to CARRY her to sleep!! It's something she hasn't requested for in a super long time! Only when she was a baby then we carried her to sleep. Nowadays she falls asleep lying on the bed with someone lying beside her. And when my maid tried to put her down on my bed after she had fallen asleep, she protested wildly and cried and coughed till she almost choked. So of course my maid see her so poor thing picked her up again and carried her. Oh my. I think she's really getting spoilt by my maid. And i also don't really know how to feel about this situation - jealous? unhappy? puzzled? Hmmm...
